I will say this:

Focus on making EACH OTHER better. This is the best way for everyone in montreal to grow strong. Having stronger competition makes you stronger in turn. Tell your opponent's what they do wrong and how to fix their game, and expect the same treatment in return !

From what I understand about the situation, we planned 2 cars (me and pedro) but one is not an option anymore. We havn't really talked in details how that'll work out besides Pedro saying we could have a bunch of people leaving thursday night on the bus and arriving early friday. Rest goes in my car for a friday ride.

That's all I know about the current situation. Oh and, those 2 cars didn't include Kaeru's whereabouts since we didn't know exactly how he'd get there/comeback. Or at least I didn't

I don't know the specific amount of people as I didn't take any responsibility towards that. But we planned that we could manage with 2 cars excluding Kaeru. If I'm not mistaken, we were to be 8 total in those cars. And from what I know, Greenix couldn't make it after all while Bibi jumps in last minute. From that point of view, everything is fine.

Now the real thing is that Pedro's car can't really risk making that trip without breaking down or being risky. Dunno the details, but the car's a no go. We have 1 car and 8 people. So I suggest we put everyone in the trunk and just pray we'll be fine...

No, seriously though, the idea of having a small crew work out the bus trip was floating around yesterday and at this point, it might seem like the only option for all of us to get there. I've only been told that I'd preferably need someone who has once made the trip in my car so that I know about stuff like toll roads or any details like that.

Though, once again don't take my words 100% granted and wait for Brice/Pedro to confirm as I only speak from what I know.

... I'd offer my car, but that thing is on its last legs and the right tie rod is giving out. Some emergency repairs would be necessary to make it road-worthy for a trip of this length.

But that said, I thought transportation was all worked out? If we decide to rent a car, the rates I just checked up would be ~$120 minimum for a 4-day trip. So about ~$40-50 each (roughly including gas) if we fill it up with people?

EDIT 1: Actually, scratch that. My calculation was way off there. Gas cost would easily make it more like $100 each for car rent + gas. Close to the Greyhound fare...

EDIT 2: And... Scratch that again. I didn't notice that they also charge per kilometer, making total rent cost closer to $150 each, lol.

Might just have to do the Greyhound idea after all...

Yes, quite right. If everyone chips in for the car rental, then for fairness' sake everyone's transport costs should be averaged between those of us going by car.

So it would come out to something like this:

Car1:

$120 for rent

5x $60 for gas = $300 (high end estimation)

Mileage rate is $.22 per km, with 200 free/day or 800 total over 4 days = ~800 * .22 = $176

Total: $596

Car2:

$300 gas

Total: Call it $900.

Total per dude: $112.5, or $97.5 in a best-case scenario of only 4 gas fill-ups.

It comes out to less than a Greyhound, so it should be the logical choice.

... Unless I missed something, of course.

It only seems logical, except for one thing you guys MIGHT be unaware of. Nedel has to be back in trois riviere by nearly 5PM on monday. That was one of our first issues with transportation. Every driver or player were fine with the idea of taking monday off and leaving that day. So unless a driver and the players who would be with him are willing to leave VERY early on monday or have a trip back by sunday evening/night, this does pose the problem we had at some point.

Our easy solution here that would try to please everyone is that we'd chip in the gas pool for bus ride back for Nedel since he has to while we'd leave as planned the next day at a regular hour. Still, if we rent a car, we have to consider that one last detail. Though, in the case that everyone pays 112$ for transportation, splitting only one ride back on a bus ride would probably a little spare extra to add IE maybe 10$/people. It's not that bad, but we just have to consider it at least.

I don't want to come off as imposing, but I really don't mind pushing a little extra money to make sure everyone can go. For instance, Bibi jumps in last minute so long as someone pays the trip and he gives the money back the week after. Stuff like that isn't a problem.

When we were faced with the problem of you and greenix having to come back for monday when the drivers planned to leave that very day, the solution of tipping a bus trip was brought up. Now here's my personal conflict here, I can make this solution happen without any problem and I don't mind it, I just want to discuss it before imposing something that pleases me onto others. I'd feel like a dick saying "NEDEL YOU STAY HOME OR YOU TAKE THE BUS RIDE ALONE DURING THE NIGHT OF SUNDAY".

Oh and one last edit, I know I make it seem as a problem in a way as in "We have to deal with Nedel", might come off wrong, but don't ever get the idea it would be easier for us if you stayed home.

The bus probably won't be a problem, as I can keep myself busy or sleep during that time rather easily (especially considering the weekend we're gonna have), I'm probably more concerned about the locations of pick up and drop off and getting back to my car afterwards. Just keep me informed.
