Hell yeah I do, but I probably won't be able to make it to NEC. That's in December, right? I have to get surgery on my shoulder in December since I messed it up due to a hilarious Shin-like set of circumstances. I'll probably be walking around like a mummy for three months.

But then again every time I go to the Majors I just play a crippled half-kumen who can't use stick anyway. :3 ps3 onry, wry~

Somehow I always get 13th place no matter what though.

My monitor is 5ms. Isn't that plenty? Sure, it's ~1/3f lag, but that shouldn't matter too much, right?

5ms is pretty bad I think. And with fighting games the slightest delay can make ALL the difference.

The evo monitor isn't the only lagless screen you can get, it's just the one used at evo and in a lot of other tournaments, so it's what a lot of people get because of its reputation and reliability. (and no monitor is really lag free, but at some point you just can't tell the difference)

im about to rage at you nubcaeks.

this 2ms and 5ms stuff you are talking about is the response time. Which has NOTHING TO DO WITH INPUT LAG.

if you are using a real computor monitor, you can expect 1/2 frames of lag (read 8milliseconds late image).

if you are using an HDTV, you can expect anywhere between 2 frames (minimum 30ms) or more.

It's got nothing to do with response time. Response time is how fast a pixel on that screen can change colors. It's got nothing to do with how late the monitor even tries to show you an image.

The input lag on HDTVs is on purpose, it's intentional. It's part of what makes them have better contrast them computer monitors.

mAc, use any true computer monitor and you will have "evo monitor" speed. Which is still 8ms late (1/2 of a frame).
