EDIT : I just thought about it, nini, you say you're not ready to travel alone for a few days around various and unknown places, but staying for a whole session to study 10k~ish kilometers from where your family lives is no trouble to you... wtf

It is my opinion that the Haku players are boned at MAT8. I feel his worst matchups atm are Hazama and Rachel, which got worse from CS1. Ara didn't change, and Mu got a bit worse to fight against. Ragna is now more frustrating to fight against if it were possible and you can't make mistakes vs. Jin. Tager is now lolrandom and can mash D -> 360/720 for easy random win.

Those chars are also the more prominently featured in the community. The Void will not prevail, I fear.

Yeah, so far me, brice, and gil are going to the HQ. Brice should be there in 10 minutes, he just grabbed my bbcs/xbox from work.

Dunno how crowded it will be since it's a Tuesday and there might be a Marvel/MK tournament. Apparently they rearranged it so we should be good.

Do not make me bring old videos of the videos we went through with match ups like 8-2/9-1 or 3-7. As hakumen players we've been through it all, from the match ups we had to concentrate not to use the wrong attack and relying on patience observation and lightning quick execution, to having a hakumen that was buffed and was a lot easier manage.

Yes hakumen isn't what he used to be, yes his combos are incredibly hard to execute most particularly those in the corner, yes his midscreen hit and damage conversion is bad, yes his magatama gain is slower than tager running. BUT we are no where near our calamity trigger days where hakumen was half-ass completed and lacked a lot of tools.

We still have the ability to cut projectiles for profit and with the case of 4c which is faster this really helps on the ground. We have a buffed yukikaze that is not only viable to use against highs/mids/lows but is also a threat to projectiles as well since it activates on frame one and beats even internetdivider which has the most lolinvincibility frames ever. We still have powerful spacing tools like jc/4c, yes jc's 2 frame nerf hurts against jin, but we still have counters which give us a guaranteed star upon landing. So facing hakumen isn't a simple walk in the park, but we'll just have to think and be cautious more in battle. Like the samurai that he is. Our up coming battles are still winnable by a margin and nothing is as severe as his worst match ups in ct, there is no situation where he is helpless against his foe.

However, our game plan must change in order to maximize his potential. Namely pushing our opponents into the corner, upping our hit confirm skills, making use of an easier input for hop/tk hotaru (the hop version can even be used on upcoming supers by reaction), and maximizing our damage potential once we get a hit in the corner.

Still, I'm half exaggerating here, I really don't think CS2 Haku is that bad at all. I wouldn't drop him for anything in the world. Sorry for making you type all that up! :P

I will say that It's not hyperbole that the Ragna, Hazama, and Rachel matches all got stupid hard to deal with. Haku is otherwise still a powerhouse in the corner and his combos outside of the heavy carry portrayed in that vid I linked to aren't all that hard to do -- just more specific in their application.
