Shout outs to Aquasilk and Chris Hu saying they don't like SFXT, but they are going to play it anyway "cause they have to."

I'd hate to have to go by that mindset when it comes to playing games.

1. Throw spam is dumb in any fighting game, but moreso in Capcom fighting games.

2. lol @ fighting in a Zero-Gravity Space Station...is that even possible?????

blade is still blade, no surprise there

No they don't.

The World Games Cup SFxT play made the game look like ass. WNF on Wednesday made the game look mediocre. Scramble Mode makes the game look worse than Onimusha Blade Warriors.

Can't wait for this piece of shit to become anywhere from the 1st-3rd biggest fighting game in america.

No they don't.

I didnt say the game was going to be good. i said that those two characters look fun. Rolento's mobility and pokes are still cool as hell even if he had them in other games, and his EX moves are silly. Hugo's huge stature is satisfying and makes his pokes rather awesome. Also, his damage is silly. This all seemed fun to me. Calm down.

Hey i wasn't yelling at you, im yelling at life for allowing this game to exist.

And no Rolento's moves look gay as hell, and even worse is that Scramble Crud where he can just rekka while Ryu charges a free Super and just repeat that for what seems like infinite block stun chip out mode.

Hugo maybe

This shit is getting ridiculous. And it's not just Capcom.

I really do miss the days when games were complete when you bought em.

guess what: games cost a LOT more to make than they used to, but the base price for games is basically the same. Of course, companies should just bend over and lose profit for you, right?

dlc is just a response to the investment risks and shit. im not excusing shit like that $25 virtual horse on WoW or anything, but of course games will charge for content. Sometimes they wouldnt have recieved the funding to make such content if they didnt do dlc. Sometimes it is just content added much later, like Valk, the SFxT charas planned to be done by Vita version's release, etc.

Again, the Vita version is coming out in fall. God forbid capcom charge money for all the shit they make between now and then? Entitled, much?

Plus, when fighting games are good, they are worth soo much more than the disc's price. Bring on the content.

At this point I'm just going to wait for Super SFxT that includes all the new characters, pre-order gems, and anything else they decide to add in.

i take it you dont plan to play at meetups or online or tournaments, then

Anyway, i'm glad the cast will be fucking huge, i just hope the game itself is good. We'll see.

It's not like this is the only fighting game out right now. lol missing out on one of the many available isn't going to kill me

ahah, yeah. there's so much shit this year. mbaacc, sc5, bbcse, sg, p4u, vf, gg, ttt2, maybe CC and UNIB. if this game is bad it will be pretty easy to not buy it.

Exactly. I'm not trying to hate on the game by any means. There are a few things about it that concern me so I'm going to wait a bit before I buy it.

Yeah, same. Pandora is really weird. It keeps flopping from being a horrible, stupid mechanic to being reasonable and not a braindead mechanic. I have no idea if this game will actually be good or not. It'll be interesting to see, at least.

So, as costs go up and prices stay the same, more and more games should just not be profitable, creating less desire for investment due to the risk and lack of return and thus games having less money to work with and having less content. So, the industry should suffer because you dont want to pay more for more content. ok confucius, thank you for your wisdom

(of course half of this problem would go away if people didnt expect modern graphics)

How do you feel about paying for DLC that's actually content already on the disc? Or you gonna defend that as well?

even if you dont like it, the companies are free to decide what they consider the full product and what are the extras, if you really dislike that practice, dont buy the damn dlc

and no, i also dislike the practice, but at the same time im aware of why they do it the way that they do since im also work on software developing

"or you gonna defend that as well"

Good job evading the fact that you were bitching at a company for asking money for content made between march and fall. Stay entitled :roboky:

Anyway, like I said, games cost basically the same as before but cost vastly more to make. Deciding that they want to separate part of it and charge more is a reasonable response to this sort of pressure, and saying "Yes, we will make some content DLC" gets them stuff like investment which they need to even make that content and other content in the first place. I dislike that as well, like when it was revealed that Shuma and Jill were planned to be DLC far in advance and set aside even when they were finished in time(i think?). However, while I dislike it, I don't act like I am some sort of abused victim. I recognize that how I feel about something initially may not be fair to the reality of it. Additionally, when good(not saying sfxt will necessarily or even likely be good), fighting games are worth a ton more than their initial price, so I have no qualms paying more.

What are we entitled to? The content on the disc? But we do not own the art and music assets, we do not own music licensed for the game like from a band or whatever. Do we own the time/effort spent on development prior to launch? When does that cut off? Does it cut off when the game goes gold? Does it cut off on launch? Are we immediately entitled to all of the SF4 characters in SFxT because they were mostly made before? What does this sense of deserving actually stem from? I understand the feeling of "owning" the content on the disc and I have this feeling, but that doesn't mean I won't critically examine the feeling.

Again, most games aren't profitable. Cost to buy have stayed at 50-60, but costs to produce has increased massively. Something has to give. (i would rather it be graphics, but whatever)

Lastly, if anyone thinks I am a capcom fanboy, they are retarded. I didnt buy MVC3 or UMVC3. I got SSF4 for $20. I got SF4 for $10. I regretted both purchases.

Then why did you feel the need to start an "argument" about this when what I said was a fairly broad and open ended response (opinion) to pretty much the whole DLC practice in it's entirety. You're defending them like there's no possible reason for people to dislike these things and yet clearly you yourself say you dislike them as well. That's almost hypocritical if you ask me. I state my opinion about the situation, you say I'm "bitching at the company", yet you can say you dislike them as well but somehow that's completely different than what I said?
