Starlight777 Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Capcom is really trying to kill all the hype for this game. And they're doing a good job. Yeah it makes you wonder how tight they are tying that noose with this game. Anyway I wonder who the remaining characters are. I hope Alisa isn't in, I don't want an excuse to try this game.
Mightfo Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 the hugo play from the korean loketest was actually good really strong pressure with special cancelling into clap and then doing another high/low into another clap and then possibly dash->command grab scary stuff i hope that in the final build special cancelling from chains is still in. i will at least rent the game to try it despite gems being lol and capcom being capcom. some nice play with nina and others too iirc also i like how the korean footage is the first footage ive seen where people have done real pressure with chains combined with stagger and special cancels instead of just doing jab pressure like sf4 or constantly doing launcher on block
Hecatom Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 (edited) http://www.capcom.co.jp/sfxtk_en/ch_asuka.html i like how they managed to keep her cute (considering that they fucked other chars like raven, heihachi, nina, and in some way my girl Lily) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkirKKZUHVk&feature=player_embedded Training/Trial mode screenshots http://www.eventhubs.com/news/2011/dec/23/screen-shots-street-fighter-x-tekkens-tutorial-mode/ HD trailer (they changed the song, lol) Edited December 23, 2011 by Hecatom
Blade Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Well, IMO, the less you guys are interested in this game, the better chance I have of actually learning how to play it without getting surrounded by fanatics who are instantly better than me. Logistics, lol But that trailer has lots and lots of fanservice, so I like it anyway!
Blade Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 I said this before but most Capcom 3D games have a case of Hulk-face....in this case though...it's blowfish face.
SolxBaiken Posted January 17, 2012 Author Posted January 17, 2012 (edited) New characters and also and screens Edited January 18, 2012 by SolxBaiken
Blade Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 So the "Guilty Gear chick in Street Fighter" showed up, eh? I expect loads of cheese. :D
Tsuki Garyuu Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 So the "Guilty Gear chick in Street Fighter" showed up, eh? I expect loads of cheese. :D She's straight up KOF chick. Put her in that series and no one would see the difference.
Blade Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Honestly, I'm losing confidence in Capcom to deliver balance to these kinds of games. Even stuff like being able to customize character's abilities and stats based on your style is basically Heroes and Heralds all over again, and you can expect broken mess from that with people too scared to try fun or interesting stuff in favor of extremely long win records. Maybe it's just me...maybe it's because I came from Guilty Gear and BlazBlue and Samurai Showdown that I find those games more balanced than anything Capcom has ever produced....
Blade Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Okay..."more balanced than anything Capcom has done recently".
Vulcan422 Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 (edited) Top Tiers in each iteration CT: Nu, Rachel, Arakune (zoning characters) CS: Bang, Litchi, Ragna (rushdown/combo characters) CS2: Makoto, Noel, Jin (oki/corner carry characters) Top Tiers in each iteration of SF4 Vanilla: Sagat, Ryu, Akuma (zoner/jack of all trades/rushdown) Chocolate (Super): Honda, Dictator, Guile (charge characters who are good at close/any/far range) Strawberry (AE): Yun, Yang, Fei Long (Hong Kong Trifecta, dive kicks/mixup/solidarity) EDIT: Point being, BlazBlue has had retarded balancing in pretty much all 3 games, catering to a specific characters. SF4 has only had one case of retard balancing: AE. Edited January 21, 2012 by Vulcan422
Blade Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 What statement? That because a character falls into a "category type" they fall into a tier as a theme for each iteration of a game?
Tong Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 What's the theme for CSEX then? Retarded damage off random hits?
Hecatom Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 My statement stands. you dont have a statement at all also, at least from BBCS onwards BB has been descently balanced, and IMO (stressing on IMO) more than sf4 and more importantly way more fun
Linear04 Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 i dont know about you but cs2 was retard level balancing, making characters top tier not based on the character's overall strength and instead of giving them retarded good abare is not good balancing at all granted, AE's main flaw was the twins, but over all super sf4 was the most balanced game in this generation yet, and 2012 is looking really strong
Kujikawa Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Tekken is clearly more balanced. S Tier: Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob, Lars.
SolxBaiken Posted January 21, 2012 Author Posted January 21, 2012 Alright stop that guys... There are other places to discuss this and it's an irrelevant point to talk about here.
MikelAL93 Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Now I want this game even more now. :D Pac-Man using a Mokujin robot? and Bad Box Art Mega Man? Awesome!
Starlight777 Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Hmm Bad Box Art Mega Man? Well here's how I reacted to the news. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avr7enrZuJQ&feature=related
Tsuki Garyuu Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Hmm Bad Box Art Mega Man? Well here's how I reacted to the news. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avr7enrZuJQ&feature=related They'll troll us again and again until Megaman fades from our ever-so-demanding memories. Well, these are just gag characters (except Cole) that are exclusive.
