Was there any confirmation about Karin being in?

I might wait till the absolutely last minute to get this. Also about the DLC Disc thing...it'd be one thing if it was extra costumes...it's another when those costumes and characters are accessible via a pretty lame glitch. That kind of programming is in poor taste and might as well not even be bothered with.

I'm sure they intended for the content to be flashed and decrypted.

One of the main reasons they have trouble getting Karin in the game is because her copyright belongs to a Manga artist. It doesn't mean they can't put her in, it just becomes really difficult contractually. He hints that if Harada does something *wink* *wink*, she might be in TxSF. Ono assures that he is not trolling with these statements, but they are true.

Maybe she will be in TxSF, more reasons to wait that game.

That's fucking gay.

Not buying this. This isn't business / profit / whatever the fuck you wanna call it. This is robbery.

I might have gone "It's not that bad of a deal" if weren't in a fighting game boom.

I'm not buying a game so I can wait to buy several of the characters I was excited about when there are other very good and cheaper games.

I might have if this showed up during the drought, but not today, not in 2012. It just isn't a good deal.

Karin in TxSF?

Fuck, if Harada does that then I'm furry for that game.

It's official. You are a fickle woman.

lmao at their explanation

http://www.capcom-unity.com/brelston/blog/2012/03/05/street_fighter_x_tekken:_12_new_characters_coming_to_consoles,_pc_this_fall

Capcom has confirmed that 12 new fan-favorite characters will be available as Downloadable Content (DLC) on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC versions of Street Fighter X Tekken later this year. The playable characters will make their debut on the PS Vita system when the game is released this fall, with the console and PC versions receiving them as DLC soon after. The character information and files were intentionally included on retail versions of the PS3 and Xbox 360 game to save hard drive space and to ensure for a smooth transition when the DLC is available, allowing players who choose not to purchase the content the ability to play against players that did. More specifics regarding pricing, dates and other additional exciting DLC plans for Street Fighter X Tekken will be shared at a later date. As a reminder, the retail version of the game will be the only disc-based version consumers will need to own and all future upgrades will come from post-launch DLC. The new characters fighting their way onto Street Fighter X Tekken are… from the Street Fighter side… Blanka, Cody, Dudley, Elena, Guy and Sakura will be playable and from Tekken… Alisa Bosconovitch, Bryan Fury, Christie Monteiro, Jack, Lars Alexandersson and Lei Wulong will all be available.

Uh, how is that fickle? They're two different games.

SFxT TxSF, scuze me for not noticing that MINOR DIFFERENCE and what's confirmed or not.

I'd have been passably upset if it was just the Pacman and Megaman, but in my small circle of immediate friends we'd have to buy 10 of those characters and that's just insane. 12 pretty popular characters is such a betrayal. On top of the competitively non-frunctional Gem system this game is looking like the worst tournament fighter of the year.

I kinda want to protest this game. Not only do I not want to buy it I don't want a lot of people to buy it.

I bought 3 copies so im the anti-protest. (one copy is a gift to another DL'er) lol

That pretty impressive dude

I think this the only game i've really been on the fence for. And by on the fence, I literally mean I am totally confounded on to whether to get or not.

I think one of the more messed up things was that they had Cody and Guy in one of the original trailers which was a huge sign that they would probably be in the game, only to have them be released as DLC. (ignoring the fact of the on disc thing entirely.)

I really don't like how Capcom handles business and some of the things they say in interviews which is why I've decided to not give them money anymore. I used to like their games in general which is why I still pay attention to this stuff, but at some point I had to draw the line and I did it a while ago.

And before anyone says anything, I don't like the DLC business for the most part entirely, no matter what company it is. In BB I only bought the DLC characters for obvious reasons and even then I do not like the idea of that, I'd rather companies just spend more time on the games and release them later, "completed", even if we have to wait a few more months or even a year+.

Guys why are we still talking about this? Guilty Gear Accent Core + and Darkstalkers 3 are coming to PSN, Skullgirls is coming out soon, Soul Calibur 5, BBCS:EX, and there's a fighting game with Ponies in the works. Do we really need to waste more time talking about this train wreck. I mean come on, it doesn't take psychic powers(:psyduck:) to have foreseen that this was gonna happen.

Capcom does this to their fans EVERY fuckin time. Honestly, how can you be surprised at this point. If you ARE going to buy this game, WAIT. Wait until its dirt cheap in the Used Bins, then if you like it, buy the DLC and you'll end up getting the full game for a reasonable price. Until then play another fighting game! Theres a ton of great ones out there, and plenty more on there way!

SFxT: $60 + tax for part of the game. At least $10 for all the alternate costume that are on disc. At least $24 dollars for characters that are on disc (delievery time 6 months). Total cost: at least of $94 + tax. Gems sold separately.

Aquapazza: $84 to import from an island half a world away. And you can play all the characters without having to rebuy them!?

Saying you like Ponies in fighting games, yet calling this a trainwreck in the same paragraph.

So when people call you out on an actually topically relevant mistake you make it's just a tiny mistake, but if someone else says something you disagree with that has no impact over the overall scope of his argument it is a big deal. Throwing a lot of meaningless stones for a guy in a glass house.

characters dlc are a good thing since you caan update the game without the need of buying a new disc the next year, in fact so far the only companies that have made dlc chars the way that i like are Arcsys with BB and NetherRealm with MK, and more likely Revergelabs with Skullgirls when they start releasing the characters as dlc; capcom only did it right with SSF4AE, but with mvc3 and now sfxt, it seems that they are not aware what is the whole idea of dlc chars

its about expanding the game, updating it, to release the revision as a patch and not a new disc

not to release a game with a good portion of it locked and then release the unlock files like 5 or 6 months after

So I hear this game is actually pretty fun. I'll consider getting it when my Robo-waifu is available. Also I was saving my cash for Tales of Graces f anyway. :kitty:

then you will have to wait until fall, from what they said on the article that i posted on the last page, they arent releasing the "dlc" characters until the psvita version its released, and of course we should wait maybe a month after that
