DaiAndOh Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 New consoles, new thread. Discuss or ask anything related to Bang's gameplay in BBCS2 here.
sergetrigger Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 I was watching a video with some of his new challenges, is 6d>623b now an actual gatling or will I still have to do 6d>6239b?
DLM UNDEAD Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 6D is special cancellable now, so you dont have to wait to do the supa crash
zeth07 Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Posting this in here because it is relevant to combo possibilities or lack there of in certain instances for Bang: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvLVbtnqf9A&feature=player_embedded I guess there will have to be specific notes made in the combo section where these glitches may apply.
Chazmobile Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Sometimes I've found that, if you put too many hits into your combo before doing ashura, the opponent can tech out immediately after Bang hits them, leaving him posing and vulnerable to whatever they would like to do. I don't know if this is a bug or not but it's really quite annoying.

I don't know if this is a bug or not but it's really quite annoying. That was already in CS1. He was invulnerable while posing. I don't know if they changed his invulnerability now in CS2 or not though. At least Ashura puts Bang at a positive or neutral state afterwards now (I didn't look at the frames so i'm not exactly sure which it is).

I think dacidbro commented on youtube that these didn't happen on versus? (is he ipwnjoo ;u? )
Chazmobile Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 6d connects from 5c FC, I suppose someone's already found this out though?
Ken-oh Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 I have a quick question: why are no Japanese players doing the tiger knee D nails pressure stuff anymore? I know D nails took a nerf, and I can't get anything to combo on hit whereas before dash 5A would still combo, but what's the reason for not doing them on block? Can opponents mash something out between the nails and 5A? Are they IB punishable? Just like to know why, thanks.
SlyStrife Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 From what I've seen and also from what I've experienced, it seems that the blockstun on the D Nails has been nerfed as well. So it's no longer really effective for keeping up pressure. If anything it's more for anti-air purposes now since they added a knockdown property when it hits in the air.
Jinty Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Does anyone have any tips for doing 6C > IAD 4C? I struggle to do it on the P1 side
Chazmobile Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 The way I find it easiest is to click 99 quickly as soon as the 6c hits the opponent, it works basically every time for me. Obviously on p2 side you would hit 77 but the principle remains the same.

Oh really, I didn't know about the knockdown property on airborne opponents, that's kinda cool I guess. A shame as I loved the nails pressure, but it was a bit overpowered so I can understand him losing it. Also, shoutouts to Jinty! Struggling with the same stuff as me as I see, somewhat reassuring
DLM UNDEAD Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 Is it known that on CH 6b you can link it to 5b aswell as 2b?
Chazmobile Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 Speaking of 6b, what kind of frame advantage does it leave you on hit without a counter?
Seiki Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 D Nails I think serve its purpose better now. Because Hitstun is reduced you can pull out command grab even as soon as the nails hit because they will be out of hitstun/blockstun by the time the command grab comes out. They can now jump almost immediately after D nails so use 2A/5B to catch the prejump frames. The only downside I see to reduced hitstun is that Tager can 360/720 you if you try to apply pressure after D nails. When Tager blocks D nails you have to take more defensive measures than offensive ones which wastes D nails purpose.
Dacidbro Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 They're also surprisingly susceptible to intelligent mashing of low profile/reversal/quick moves
XVII Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 Can anyone recommend me a "masher catcher" block string?
zdravkelja Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 lol, I can't believe how many people falls for delayed 623B :D
destruction_adv Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Hey, i'm not exactly new to Bang, but I am new to netplay. Since i got a free month of XBL I decided to try it out. About 50 Jin matches later i feel like a total scrub.I stopped mashing the buttons so hard and my combos at least work now, but I was wondering if I could get some crtique on my playing sometime. My gamertag is StatesideTrack1.

destruction_adv Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Could be. Jin was tough face to face, but never this bad. Because Bang needs to be precise, and net lag kills prescsion Bang is hard to win with. Seriously though, my friend plays Tager, and i played him so much i forgot how to escape and apply pressure (not too good at either to begin with). I need to get my stuff in order. I wanna level up my game and the best way I have at the moment is netplaying several different opponets. Besides, only doing Tager matchups is boring.
Justice7541 Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 I played a ton of offline matches and didn't touch netplay for like four months and forgot that everyone on netplay just mashes and doesn't even grasp the concept of pressure at all. I don't know what it is about online but either people are just worse in general or there's something about not being right next to the guy that makes you want to mash buttons randomly.
destruction_adv Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 I think it's cause there are so many people on netplay there are bound to be a mass of terrible people, playing against them makes you develop bad habits (spamming Bang's 3c in my case.) I wanna get my Bang critiqued to get my stuff in order, then trying to find people on dustloop to play so I get some non Tager matches(I'd like more vs. Tao matches). I wish I could get out and play people, but i run summer track and have to prepare for the Junior Olympics. Luckily 17-18 division is easier than 15-16.
