guys maybe you dont realize the implications behind air persia projectile invuln

noel 2d? ruined

spark bolt? ruined

bang's nails? ruined

tsubaki's dp? ruined

noel 5d? noel 5c? noel most anything? ruined

and what happens when you ch ???? fataru

depending on the hitstun you could likely air persia 1hit noel's 2d into > land > 5c > shit

i hope they keep this change so hard, i also wish to know what frames projectile invuln starts and ends. a lot of this may not work depending on framedata but i am giddy with excitement so oh well

^ Jin's drive attacks fit this bill as well right? and maybe Persia to get over Dead Spikes

But, she kind of needs these buffs to her defense now that counter assaults cost a guard primer

The counter assault change impacts everyone, with a bit extra to those character without a reversal, IEl 2/3 of the cast.

Air Persia would go through:

Noel's 5D, 2D, 4D, j,D, j.4D, d.5B, d.5A, d.6A, d.5C, d.6C, the second hit of 236D, 236A/B/C, 5C, 2C, 3C, j.236C, the second hit of 6C, j.C, the second half of Fenrir and all of Thor, her AH.

Jin's 5D, 2D, 6D, j.D, 236A/B/C/D, and both DD's.

All of Lambda's D attacks, including her special using D, all her DD's and her 5C's.

Litchi's 5D and 2D Staff recalls, her j.D's, all of her DD's, ItsuuA/B/C, Tsubame Gaeshi, Shinshin, RiichiB.

Rachel's 5B, 2B, 236A/B/C, 214A/B/C, all of her DD's, her AH.

All of Carl's D attacks, 623C, all of his DD's, his AH.

Hazama's D attacks, Mizuchi and his AH.

Tager's Spark Bolt.

Platinum's Bubble's, Bombs, Missiles, and all of her item tosses, her AH.

Ragna's 214D, the second hit of Hell's Fang, the second hit of Carnage Scissors.

Tao's item tosses.

Bang's nails, Ashura.

All of Arakune's D attacks, including his bugs, his j.236D, all of his DD, his AH.

Hakumen's Shippuu, his orbs.

Tsubaki's DP's, her j.236D, the giant flashes of light after j.236D > j.214D.

All of Mu's D attacks, including her D specials, her DD's, her 6C, her AH.

Makoto's 236A, Big Bang Smash.

Valkenhayn is the ONLY character in the game without a single projectile.

Am I missing any?

The first thing that came to mind when I saw that projectile invuln stuff was how much fun it'd be to randomly Air Persia through Litchi's oki and dps.

All said and done, though, I really hope they don't make her into a brainless character. :8/:

an easier way to go about that, uri, would be to say 'it can go through anything with projectile property'. also, a lot of those (like the second hit of hell's fang, second hit of carnage scissors) do not have projectile property. might wanna double check the frame data before posting!

What kind of payoff can you get from an air persia? Can you make it worth it?

For what it's worth, you can already "lol" Ragna's deadspike with the pogo. It's so much more worth it to mami it on reaction, though.

It has a fatal counter in the loketests, so I suppose you can legitimately combo off of it, perhaps....

As it is now, though, unless you get an Air Persia counter-hit really close to the ground (and even then, I think it still doesn't work without rapid), you can't really combo it into a ground bnb unless you rapid it.

depends. like i said earlier, in a noel 2d situation, the hitstun while falling might be enough to 5c > mami > stuff afterwards. in a standing situation ala tager's spark bolt close up, you may have to rapid. fatal hitstun may allow for you to land > 5a > 5c > mami > stuff, but no way to tell just yet.

Hey Lambda, BOING BOING BOING CESTRIAL IMPACT... finsh, perfect!

Wonder how they change Plat's throw so you combo off it? Guess 5C > Mami would work.

For Example;

All of Mu's D attacks, including her D specials, -Sure

her DD's, - 632146c Has both physical and projectile property, and will always pick the winning property if in competition, Tager cannot Sledge through it.

her 6C, -Has both physical and projectile property, but will always pick the losing property if in competition, Tager can Sledge it, and Hakumen will freeze her with Yukkikaze.

her AH. -Has both, will always win.

Ground Throw's trajectory is slower(?) and special cancelable. Can follow-up with 236B from midscreen

Man, this is ridiculous. As if bringing our enemy to the corner wasn't easy before.

mami midscreen isn't THAT big of a deal, since you still likely can not follow it up without meter. it's better corner push than the grab itself, and it gets more meter, definitely a buff, but not insane.

"Platinum Correction: Only Super Hammer is follow-upable, not regular hammer." honestly kind of glad about this since it was just really braindead with normal hammer
