I was only able to do it once though, it's REALLY difficult to get the 5C after the second 6C, and I'm having trouble connecting j.C > 6A. =/ The 5C > 5D I also believe is character specific, I'd personally go for the easier routes such as the one Cirno posted, since they do only 100 less damage and are significantly easier to preform.

The highest, still practical loop would look like 6C > 22C > 6A > 6C > 22C > 6A > 6C > 22C off a 6C FC. @Cirno - I didn't think that 6C would work after j.D in the corner. I'll have to implement it into my combos in the future. @Uri - You're right, I might have to go over some of these combos and find more practical alternatives. Those 5C > j.D > 5C > 5D > 6A > 6C > j.236C > j.C > 6A > Mami combos are a bit tricky.

iora Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 bat bat bat butt? i enjoy that. sounds like a fun time. -------- side note: trying to improve my game a bit, and its at the point that i need to up my average damage-per-hit/combo still doing the easy itemless midscreen stuff (either simple chain into 236b, or 5a 6a 6c j236c j.c 6a 236b) in the corner, itemless, im trying to get the hype stuff down but right now my damage is looking like... mid screen, no item, no meter: 1.6-2.3k mid screen, no item, 50 meter: same (dont have a damage increase for meter besides CDT) mid screen, item stuff, no meter: i got red hammer loops down, i know some basic pan shit, i know a very basic cat hammer ch combo, i know very basic missile combos, fuck bombs. fuck midscreen bat. mid screen, item stuff, 50 meter: no added damage for any item midscreen with meter. corner, no item, no meter: 3k, with the chance for reset/air throw corner, no item, 50 meter: 3.6k-4k, with chance for reset/air throw corner, item, no meter: i know how to use hammer, missile, bat, and pan. thats it. corner, item, 50 meter: no added damage with meter on any item if you had to pick one thing to work on, to get the best bang for my buck in terms of overall damage... what do you think?? -_-

Moy_X7 Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Skim through the combo thread and take a look at the combos there. They're optimal in terms of Heat gain, oki, and damage. Learn the basic stuff and then try to learn the more advanced, multiple 22Cs stuff. Also, be extremely careful as to how you use your meter. Try to use it off stuff with good starting proration such as 5B, 5C, j.C, random Mami or if you wanna trade spots in the corner. You'll do more damage, put yourself in a more favorable position, and gain back most of the Heat. It's not really worth it to tack on a CDT on anything unless you're going for the kill. That heat will come in handy if something goes wrong and you need your opponent off you with a CA. I'm comparing my combo path (Bubble stuff + Bat at the end) to Cirno's (early Bat usage) and I notice that with my path you'll get more damage and more meter but there are times where the damage surpasses my path using Cirno's. That and Cirno's seems to be more practical. Example (Corner) Mine: 5A > 5C > 236B > 66 5C > 2C > 214C > 6C > 22C > 5C > j.D > 5C > 5D > 6A > 6C > j.236C > j.C > 6A > 236B for 3605/52 Cirno: 5A > 5C > 236B > 5C > 5D > 2C > 22C > 5C > j.D > 6C > 22C > 5C > 6A > 236B for 3714/43 If you want meter use the first one, if you want damage use the second one. I'm a meter whore so I'll be using my path. I'll add Cirno's path later on when I'm done. Also Cirno, could you give me a hand with the thread and edit in some bat combos when you have the time? I'd love to add all those alternative combos myself but I seriously need to get through all the other items first. lol I'm not even done with the Bat section yet.

But ill look thru combo thread, i just got intimidated every time i looked at it before, there's a LOT of info in there, so its hard to know where to start (mainly what i was asking, the threads awesome, i just suck at bulleting thru combos, so i need to take my time.... which generally means prioritizing my learning.) I'll figure it out though, thanks anyway ^^

And my American version of the game gets the updates from the American PSN. Mocking me, making my life miserable.

Tari Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 (edited) Ridiculously hard combo, but if anyone's so inclined to be baller: 5A > 5C > 236B > (66) 5C > 2C > j.D > 6C > 22C > 6A > 6C > j.236C > j.C > (land) 5D > (delay) 6A > 6C > j.236C > j.C > (land) 6A > 236B 52 meter, 3612 dmg Was mostly messing around with bubbleless bat combo material. That combo is fucking hard. Confirmed it works on Jin, though. Red-beat all the way through. During the first rep of 6C > j.236C, the j.C has to be hit as low as possible to combo into 5D. During the second rep, 6C > j.236C > j.C has to be done as fast as possible, or it won't combo, but it also has to be low to the ground, hence the delay before 6A (you have until the opponent actually hits the ground to confirm into 6A). That's the least irritating part of the combo, haha. Might be because I've been doing that as my corner bat combo since I first played EX, though. :/

Of course, I bought the Plat announcer pack right away - only to find out that it's not compatible with my US disc. And I can't access the US store without having a US points card. Oh come on, Sony, I buy your console because it's region-free, and this is what I get?
