SoWL Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Last two characters to translate. They were the most popular ones on TGS, so I doubt there is anything important about them here. Narukami: He's a standard protagonist character who has projectiles, DPs and all the other tools you may need to achieve victory. He may also use Izanagi to perform JoJo-like combos, attacking the enemy as a team. Special Moves All or Nothing ((j)B+D) - A Shoryuken-like attack with a sword. It's much better than the actual Shoryuken, since it doesn't require directional inputs, but don't forget that you lose some health for the R-Action. Swift Strike ((j)214A/B) - Narukami dives downward with a lightning stab. Similar to Ragna's Belial Edge, counts as an overhead. Blitz (214C/D) - Narukami and Izanagi slide forward with a low lightning stab. This one can be compared to Ky's Stun Dipper. Zio (236C/D) - A Stun Edge-like lightning projectile is quickly shot forward. B version stays right before Narukami, EX-version induces the Paralysis status (can't walk, run or jump). Super Moves Ziodyne (236236C/D) - A huge multi-hit laser is shot forward, almost completely covering the screen. Use it both as a combo ender and as a restraint tool. Awakening Super Cross Slash (214214C/D) - Narukami strikes the enemy with a lightning sword and performs a combo along with Izanagi. Looks so very totally cool. Chie: An obvious rushdown character, her range is small, but her damage and speed are off the charts. If you have ever played Jam Kuradoberi, you'll feel yourself at home here. She's also not too Persona-dependent, so feel free to abuse Tomoe's good multi-hit normals. Her S-Rush and Rekka-like moves allow her to perform good combos from A pokes, ending them with God Hand if you have the SP for it. Her throw drops the enemy on the ground and can be followed with 2A. Special Moves Hyper Counter ((j)B+D) - Chie sets a glass-like shield before her for a very short time. If the enemy hits her while the shield is up, Chie delivers a spinning kick combo and knocking down the enemy. Though the enemy is knocked down for a shorter time than after Yosuke's R-Action, the move is active from the very first frames. The midair version blows the enemy away instead of knocking them down. Rampage > Skull Cracker ((j)236A/B > (j)236A/B) - Chie jumps and quickly flaps with her legs. Generally used to approach the enemy. Skull Cracker is a powerful overhead kick, but you may follow up Rampage with many other moves, for example, All-Out Rush (which is an overhead, too). Dragon Kick ((j)236C/D) - Tomoe sends Chie flying forward with a fiery kick. Can easily lead to very high-damage combos, especially on counter-hit. Can follow up with Rampage. Black Spot (214C/D) - Chie makes a palm thrust, as Tomoe strikes a pose behind her. A very short-range move, but it wall-bounces the enemy and leads to heavy damage with a Fatal Counter. Can also follow this up with Rampage. Super Moves God Hand (236236C/D) - Tomoe summons a golden fist to strike where she currently is. If Tomoe is not currently on the screen, she will summon it a bit ahead of Chie, so it may whiff on an enemy who is too close to you. Lots of stuff combo into this, though, and it's an overhead. Power Charge (236236A/B) - Chie powers up, gaining a Power Charge gauge above her SP gauge. All her attacks become more powerful for a while (Dragon Kick deals about a quarter of Narukami's health all by itself!). May stack up to 3 times. Awakening Super Agneyastra ((j)214214C/D) - Tomoe summons meteors to quickly fall down on the enemy. You can use it to approach the enemy if he stays away for too long, but the meteors disappear very quickly, so don't hesitate.
Kronikhall Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 i updated the yukiko general info thread with some examples of what the moves look like. take a look if you're interested~
SoWL Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 i updated the yukiko general info thread with some examples of what the moves look like. take a look if you're interested~ Good stuff, this will help people understand her vids better. I should do the same with Kanji, I guess.
Tari Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Good stuff, this will help people understand her vids better. I should do the same with Kanji, I guess. I want to do that with Teddie, but not only do we not have descriptions of his normals, we also don't have videos or many images for him. I did put circus Teddie in, though, hahaha.
DevilTrigger Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 I want to do that with Teddie, but not only do we not have descriptions of his normals, we also don't have videos or many images for him. I did put circus Teddie in, though, hahaha. At least you even have that =/. My poor neglected Robot.
Tari Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Didn't really see anything concrete on 2ch, and it hurts my head to try reading through there... but I was entertained by these two notes: - Some people are wondering what happens to the P3 characters when glasses are enabled. - Maziodyne is apparently stupidly loud and annoying, to the point where it's CT Rachel Baden Baden status. People can hear it from way off in the distance.
DevilTrigger Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 I don't suppose that glasses note was answered.....then again, you probably woulda mentioned that if it was....ah well
Hawkmania Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Y'know, makes me think of when I first played Platinum, at first I was embarrassed to have the volume loud, hearing "HENTAI!" a good 10-30 times per combo, then I just grew used to it and blasted the volume in training mode. Good times... now I've been neglecting BB, and AH3 for over a month or two. Anyway, nice work so far guys on the info, and thanks Trig, for your work on translating the actual moveslists.
LunaKage Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Hmm, that says Chie's damage is off the charts, hearing that must mean they found some really gay shit for her combos (in this case, "gay shit" means "holy shit yes") Because from the TGS build it didn't look like she was packing a huge punch. Then again, they may have changed some thing about her since then as well. Man I can't wait to possibly see some vids maybe @w@
SoWL Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 I dunno about you, but Chie's Dragon Kick deals tons of damage in all TGS videos I find, even without Power Charge. I'd say it's about the same damage as Kanji's throws, except that it combos into stuff.
LunaKage Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 I must not have seen all the TGS vids, because I don't even remember seeing her Dragon Kick D:
DevilTrigger Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Its the move that looks like Iron Fist's assist of choice, which outside of a combo does like 1/4th of Narukami's health (remember, TGS players can't block and barely combo). Even in a combo it does a fair chunk, it's a great move to throw in when you need a little more kick (c wut I did thar) to your combo damage. I know a few of the vids from TGS on the MayonakaForums youtube channel has her using it, just check those out, she's basically in every vid TGS related lol. Speaking of vids, my contact says some should be ready to go later today (don't quote me on this though, in case his contacts don't get around to it) and as soon as they are (again, if) I'll post them here and make a post in the loketest thread to compile them all, keep the faith alive!
LunaKage Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 (edited) Iron Fist's Assist of choice? Wassat? @w@ I'm gonna assume it looks like a flying "Dynamic Entry" style kick, since I'd figure a move that she calls "Dragon Kick" would most likely look like that. EDIT: ok I saw it now, that looks mad gay (in a good way). Wonder if she can combo into that off of ground hits. Edited December 5, 2011 by LunaKage
Katsu78 Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Loketest video, you get to see 5 seconds of Teddie!
Starlight777 Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 First loketest vid is Chie vs. Yu yet again. Not really a surprise lol, like the new stage though.
SoWL Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Ooh, new stage looks as pretty as the others. Love how the chairs shake on impact. And Kuma has some funny faces going on, as expected. Could Yu always use Ziodyne in midair? And why is his Paralysis effect different from Kanji's?
shtkn Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 chie could move forward since she's rolling, not walking/running. iirc yu could always do that move in the air (i vaguely remember him doing that in tgs videos)
SoWL Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 chie could move forward since she's rolling, not walking/running. Yeah, that one I did understand back in TGS vids. I'm talking about the visual effects: Yu's paralysis has some additional blue sparks with it.
DevilTrigger Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 (edited) Ziodyne has always been air ok. I'm sick of Chie now, I was hoping the 1st loketest video would be different....not more Chie -.- EDIT: Derp, you mentioning that made me check, I forget to insert the air ok icons on Yu's movelist, guess I gotta edit that in when I'm home as well. Edited December 5, 2011 by DevilTrigger
Starlight777 Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Yeah hopefully whatever other vids are out there show off the new characters, especially Aegis who hasn't gotten any type of footage or images whatsoever. I want the other vids to show something besides Chie or Yu.
Urichinan Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 *sigh* Still reading through this thread for Mitsuru information, it's scattered all over the place. DX I should get enough to get the thread going soon though.
Tari Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 (edited) I don't suppose that glasses note was answered.....then again, you probably woulda mentioned that if it was....ah well Nope, no answer. Y'know, makes me think of when I first played Platinum, at first I was embarrassed to have the volume loud, hearing "HENTAI!" a good 10-30 times per combo, then I just grew used to it and blasted the volume in training mode. Good times... now I've been neglecting BB, and AH3 for over a month or two. Anyway, nice work so far guys on the info, and thanks Trig, for your work on translating the actual moveslists. BBL was ridiculously loud when CT first came out. Iirc, they released a patch for consoles later on that lowered its volume. You could deafen and scare little kids at arcades by using it whenever they walked by. And no comment on the other part. >_> Hmm, that says Chie's damage is off the charts, hearing that must mean they found some really gay shit for her combos (in this case, "gay shit" means "holy shit yes") Because from the TGS build it didn't look like she was packing a huge punch. Then again, they may have changed some thing about her since then as well. Man I can't wait to possibly see some vids maybe @w@ Somehow, that reminds me that there was a note on 2ch about Chie having short range but very high speed. Some people were wondering if Akihiko and Chie played similarly, or something, as they're both supposed to have similar speeds and reach. Loketest video, you get to see 5 seconds of Teddie! Yay, Teddie~... for 5 seconds~. I'll slap that in the video section for Teddie, anyway. *sigh* Still reading through this thread for Mitsuru information, it's scattered all over the place. DX I should get enough to get the thread going soon though. Check the other thread. The one where all the information is put. >_> And you're using an incorrect movelist translation. That special is not Marin Karin. Edited December 5, 2011 by Tari
Urichinan Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Check the other thread. The one where all the information is put. >_> And you're using an incorrect movelist translation. That special is not Marin Karin. I'm searching for stats, screenshots and other things like that in here as well, so it can be compiled for anyone who wants to see it in the other thread. And thanks for the heads up, I'll have to fix that.
