Tari Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Depends on the popularity of the game, I think. I'm not sure there's much point to compiling the combos at the moment, especially seeing as how we're only in loketest stages. That said, a separate thread for combos tends to be cleaner than trying to fit everything into one thread.
shtkn Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 assuming hte game doesn't become a broken mess, it'll get those sections later. otherwise, i'll move this section right next to hnk. for now i think following how hte vsav forums are set up would be a decent middle ground.
DevilTrigger Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 (edited) Frankly, I wouldn't allow those threads to be made anyway, its a test demo atm aftr all. I'm going on the search and destroy any of those threads made prematurely myself on my site. No point in having that clutter things up yet, if there's any cool combo from the loketest, just stick it in character threads for now. Since I can't speak or understand moon runes period, I wont post about it in the loketest thread, but I believe the blog is updated (at the very least, size wise the Aigis and Aki sections look bigger than the current english translations). If I'm wrong sorry, but just pointing it out as the JP scrub I am Edited December 3, 2011 by DevilTrigger
Tari Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 There're a couple more notes about their normals/drives. Mitsuru's got an extra note or two, too. Not going to try translating that stuff at the moment, though.
SoWL Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 There're a couple more notes about their normals/drives. Mitsuru's got an extra note or two, too. Not going to try translating that stuff at the moment, though. I can take a jab at them when I come back from my studies (so, in about six hours). I just figured that people would like to know the specials and that kind of stuff first. I will also try and shoop all the movelist translations we have on the movelists themselves, just so our threads are more pretty.
Tari Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I was planning to edit all the movelist images into English, but I refuse to touch Teddie's until someone can tell me what those two random moves are supposed to mean. Perakkuma? Ehhhh?
ludwig van Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Hey, made the Naoto thread, and just wanted to say very good stuff w/ the translations (in general) Tari, SoWL, and anyone else who has helped, and thanks.
SoWL Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Oh yeah, and I will also make a Kanji thread as soon as I get home, with some translations and TGS video reposts.
Tari Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I need those Teddie videos! Have any of those loketests produced any footage yet? Hey, made the Naoto thread, and just wanted to say very good stuff w/ the translations (in general) Tari, SoWL, and anyone else who has helped, and thanks. Is that 'Kari' listed in the Naoto thread me? lol
DevilTrigger Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Sadly no (one and a half days of stalking the net still hasn't turned up anything anyway =/.) I agree with Blargh btw, you two are doing great work and I appreciate a lot myself, as I'm sure anyone else who ends up browsing here does C:

Hopefully something will turn up before the weekend is over.
DevilTrigger Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I always forget that awful evil rule. Well I'm sure one person can record something lol. Not loketest related, but some new stuff from Famitsu, mostly what Yosuke's, Naoto's (one of them) and Teddie's awakening supers here http://www.famitsu.com/news/201112/03006441.html
Tari Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Loketests do tend to get recorded, though rather, er, illegally. On Naoto's awakening super: I believe it's just one super with two parts. If you use A/B after the super input, then she shoots normal (??) bullets at the opponent. If you use C/D, she shoots her critical shot, which is the massive damage. I am sad to see that Teddie's awakening super does not involve human form Teddie. I still had hopes that Alice and human-Teddie would make cameos there. On an unrelated note: I am severely tempted to 'translate' "Kumada Great Circus" as "Beary Great Circus". ./cough
SoWL Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Now that I translated all the loketest info I could and made the Kanji thread as glorious as it is now, I want more loketest stuff, but I can't find any. I want to do things, but I have nothing. Can someone at least comment on the remaining translations and the Kanji thread? Or, I dunno, give some links for more loketest reports?
Katsu78 Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 It's very well done, I just wish we had some loketest data from the one happening now
Tari Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 (edited) I think all the movelists have been translated in some form or another now, too, and the notes on the movelist images are basically covered by all the info we know about the characters from the loketests. Mm... No new info and no videos. On Teddie's Perakkuma: I'm just going to assume it's some sort of dodge move. Low profiles most attacks? So it looks like Pera Kuma is a play on ぺらっぺら...? So, I guess, either "smooth bear" (hazamabear) or "thin bear"? Eh. I'll probably just leave it as Pera Kuma or something.... (or is it the the sound effect for paper? "paper bear". ergh, whatever) "パンチグローブ…斜め上にむけてパンチグローブを口から伸ばす対空技" <-- Teddie also has a boxing glove anti-air move? Edited December 3, 2011 by Tari
KirbyMorph Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Well, loketests are pretty vigilant on the "No Cameras" rule. Hopefully something will turn up before the weekend is over. Actually, most arcades dont let you film anything inside, not just loktests. if you watch the recent cross counter in japan, they stop them within a few minutes of entering the arcade and its just yoru basic SF4 section.

Perakkuma? Ehhhh? While I can't help with the Pera Bear thing, I'd be willing to help out with the english translations for the other chars. I already did Aigis EDIT: Finished Naoto's now EDIT2: And Mitsuru. This time I remembered to resize it (mostly for MM, not really DL related) so thats why some of the text from the other two is a little weird. If it got distorted really weirdly I re-edited it but otherwise I was lazy Break time for me Edited December 4, 2011 by DevilTrigger
ludwig van Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 ^Good stuff, put Naoto's in her thread. Thanks!
Katsu78 Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 (edited) Can someone translate Narukami's R-Action? Thank you Also, Yosuke's Edited December 4, 2011 by Katsu78
FormerlyUnknown Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 well i'm glad we still get to enjoy mitsuru's marin karin (~'3')~
pktazn Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 One of Mitsuru's moves is Marin Karin... They did it. They actually did it. I love you Atlus. I love you so much. Take my money~
