That is not a combo it resets at sekkajin's 4th hit.

Well shit, if we can still do 2D after 6C on crouching opponents then the 6C nerf isn't so bad now that Sekkajin can be worked into combos without ruining them. I wonder if 5C CH > 2D still works though, I'm guessing that it does.

If you watch closely the point of the video you are referring to, it isn't a blue beat or a single combo, but rather two combos linked together very quickly with a reset in the middle of Sekkajin (stuff > Sekkajin (1-4), Sekkajin (5-8) > 214A > stuff). So it is 6A > rc > dash 5C > 6C > 2D > dash 6B > dash 5B > 5C > Sekkajin (1-4), Sekkajin (5-8) > 214A > 5C > 2C > 623B > 6C > 623C > 5A > 5C > 2C > 623C (~2600, 3992) totaling around 5.6k.

It doesn't work(Damnit). I didn't notice it at first but take a closer look at the hit counter at the sekkajin part combo ended at 12 hits(lol sekkajin reset)

lol thought something was off when a 4k combo took out 60% of noels hp XD

I'm surprised the guy playing would even notice something like that to continue doing the combo. Unless it was just part of the plan all along.

Im seeing all these 6B ragna combos..i've yet to see anyone do anything with the 6A relaunch :(

Maybe Jin could do it after a B DP in the corner? That'd be mad hype.

that probably works. but remember, ragna can cancel his overhead into other normals and specials. jin can not, thus making his overhead relaunch much more difficult to combo after. that's probably why we don't see much of it, but maybe after some training mode time, ppl will figure out interesting stuff with it.

Hmmm some decent Jin action here, the default palette Jin seemed pretty good imo

I wonder if those 214A corner combos do more damage than the DP C loop. I can understand doing them close to the corner after something like 6C > DC > j.C > 214A but off a 5B/j.B starter, I would rather do the the DP C loop.

Woah, woah, woah, woah... woah. Yukikaze catches lows now? Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure that Ragna's 2D is a low.

holy crap this makes me so happy. yeah, ragna 2D was a low in cs2, i believe it still is in extend.

still will be a very situational move imo

actually, now that i think about it, with the nerfed ice arrow and improved prorate on yukikaze, maybe yukikaze will be the punish of choice if you have 100 heat.

Well, Yukikaze has always had a short window of activation (Unlike Hakumen's version, LOL!) so Jin getting swept out of Yukikaze doesn't surprise me. Looking at both videos, Ragna's 2D seems to hit just as the activation animation of Yukikaze ends as while Litchi's 3C hits him out of it but since it's slow and Yukikaze's window is short, it hits him out of it.

But I'm hype that Yukikaze punishes lows, now everyone is going to use it, LOL!

You have no idea how helpful you've been in my examination of Jin's CS2 to CS:EX changes by finding this video, and many others. Hats off to you sir, and to anyone who contributed to CS2 and CS:EX data as well :)

As the errors in my calculator have reduced sufficiently for me to compare CS2 to CS:EX, I've been able to use a selection of combos from various videos to deduce proration and damage changes in a number of Jin's attacks. The proration and damage changes (if they did change) I haven't touched yet by these combos are for 623A/D, 236A/B/C/D, j236A/B/C/D, and all distortion drives. P2 and base damage of 214B I haven't found for absolute certain, but the results from the one combo I looked at with it suggest it is unchanged. Also, I haven't touched on P1 for 623B and 214A/B/C/D. If anyone feels the need to correct/check my calculations for CS2 via doing the combo in-game (when possible) feel free. Differences encountered between calculations and actual CS2 results in the accumulated damage at any point in the combo shouldn't be more than 5 damage in most cases, 10 sometimes is accepted, but it shouldn't be that high.

Below are my results so far (updated Nov 1, 2011); videos and combos I used in determining them follow the results:

+ 5A, 2A & jA, base damages each increased by ~90 from CS2

+ 6A P1 increased to around 79-80 (perhaps 79.9) from 70 in CS2

+ 6A P2 did not change from CS2

(If 6A P2 did increase it is likely ~93 from 92 in CS2)

+ 2B P1 increased to around 79-80 (perhaps 79.5) from 70 in CS2

+ 2B P2 shows no change from 86 in CS2

- jB P2 decreased to 86 from 89 in CS2

+ 2C P2 increased to ~89 from 85 in CS2

+ 3C base damage increased by ~100 from CS2

+ jC & j2C P2 both increased to ~89 from 85 in CS2

- jC P1 decreased to 70 from 80 in CS2

(j2C P1 is unchanged from CS2)

- 214A has a repeat proration of 20 in CS:EX

+ Forward and Back Throw damage increased to 1300 (600 more than CS2)

+ Sekkajin proration seems unchanged based on damage, perhaps attack level or untech time was buffed

(Sekkajin comment is purely speculation for the moment)

NOTE: These observations are subject to change by newly observed combos or system patches.

Combos listed without cancel or counter notation; ice car B/C/D 2nd hit is treated separately; 5B=5B(2).

Comparisons with CS2 assumed no resets occur - calculator was used in finding CS2 damage for most cases.

I like the way the 6A heavy knockdown combos are looking, I just want to see what uses players will develop as more people start actually using it.

Also, it's pretty awesome that Jin mains like SRZ and Solex both got second place in tournaments, congrats to both of you guys for being such solid players.

Oh yeah, I am actually going to upload six matches that I have had against SHADOWREDzero in the past four days if anyone is interested. I would definitely appreciate the criticism :)

I know to post them on the Critique thread though, haha.
