C0R Posted November 12, 2011 Author Posted November 12, 2011 @C0R : What makes air super so strong? I thought it would just be a gimmick, since you can otg 2C 5C into the ground version now. The 2c otg is not as applicable as people though it would be, it only OTG's bounding opponents, similar to 6a, it's just slightly better in terms of damage. It does not truely otg grounded opponents, such as from a 3c ch. Here is an example of how I went about using air super, one of many: (combo into) 2a 6a late chain 5b (reset into) sjIAD crossup j.b (more active frames makes it better!) Yata No Kagami If they manage to block the crossup, Yata makes the mixup very plus, allowing Mu to easily continue mix her opponent up. If the j.b crossup lands, the air super will pick up to the combo, staying active long enough that you can move into 3c and link into j.2c.
bakahyl Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 If Mu is now really good as Cor says, then the japanese players have done a poor job displaying what she can do in these last few tournament videos
André Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Every time I read C0R's posts about Mu one question appears in my mind. C0R, what can Mu NOT do?
pochp Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 @C0R : Awesome! I already use meter for RC a lot in my mixup, so this is probably going to be something I'll be using often as well. Sad about 2C though @bakahyl : That's just because they aren't many playing Mu (it seems), and in a single match situation, anything can happen, so the odds are against having a Mu place well. I haven't checked every video out there yet, but Ogarabu seems very legit. @André : Win a tournament. Unless someone can prove me wrong.
bakahyl Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 I have watched lots of videos of the japanese matches with Mu in it and none of them were that impressive and Ogarabu seems to make lots of odd mistakes at times.
YukiBlue Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 I can get hyped for more JP Mu players. Having more reference material never hurts. In fact, Let's drop the hipster act and make as many people conform as possible. (But of course, We were here before she was cool)
Starlight777 Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Anyone find it funny that while Mu gets more popular, Jin gets more hipster? Anyway when I first got CS1 I noticed how bad Rachel became and stopped playing her completely for Mu until Platinum came out. I wasn't any good but at least Mu got me wins.
C0R Posted November 14, 2011 Author Posted November 14, 2011 (edited) http://www.twitch.tv/teamkhaos/b/299961281 51 minutes in is the Extend Invitational Grand Finals. Me vs Wuku. Playing like faggots and having fun doing it! Lulzy time demoing some new stuff and failing at new combos. On the earlier point about 2c, I was completely wrong, however it does need to be about a minimum range 2c in order to otg, I need the game to actually test stuff. Relaunch combo works in cs2 but it's harder. Edited November 14, 2011 by C0R
Lord Pwnge18 Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Very impressive , c0r, and that was a beautiful fatal 6C you landed on wuku. So, Mu's, uh, petal blade super not shake the screen like a bastard anymore?
Nemesis Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 I can get hyped for more JP Mu players. Having more reference material never hurts. In fact, Let's drop the hipster act and make as many people conform as possible. (But of course, We were here before she was cool) Im just gonna resign myself to this -- tired of bitching about new players grabbing mu anyways -- They will come and go most of us will stick with it im sure -- is my maturity act fooling anyone?
Nemesis Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 how're you enjoying skyrm btw? and you never responded to my ragey i hate noels msg i sent you a few days ago -- i was looking for sympathy ya know
YukiBlue Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 I was enthralled, Sorry haha. I have a tendency to read a message, promise to reply, then I forget I'll be fair about Skyrim, I'm a Fanboy, I love the series with a serious passion, everything about it to me is unique and kinda' "Special" But ignoring this, Skyrim still has to be the most stunning RPG I have ever played, It even topples Dark Souls. I love everything about it, It's like they took the best bits of oblivion and dark souls, threw in a bit of GTA, added some "Shadow of the colossus" moments and then used the Radiant AI / Story system to make the game last (For serious) forever. The game is a masterclass in the western RPG bro. a masterclass. Anyway, How about dat' Mu.
Nemesis Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 well im glad to hear that Im definantly getting it but for the computer -- i want all the hacks and sex and stuff .. .but yea dude tonight in BB I was just havin the worst time... sure i won by far most of mygames but when your 200+ if you lose a game to like ... anyone it drains the fcking hell out of you i pounded this lambda like 7-8 times in a row and gain nothing (160) then lose once and get drained -- that was my night. Really frustrating -- im starting to look forward to the broken mu now geez
SolarMisae Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 All of you get out stop playing my character. :<
Aile Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 All of you get out stop playing my character. :< But Mu is fun to use :C compared to makoto anyway
Nemesis Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I still liked the other one Aile but this new one is pretty ^_^

Aile Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I still liked the other one Aile but this new one is pretty ^_^ if you're talking about avatars, I change avi's waaaay too often. Barely a week ago I had a Kyubey avatar 8V if you're talking about Mu idek :v
ThunderboltZ28 Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 All of you get out stop playing my character. :< Oh. Okay I guess. Maybe I'll go play Carl or something. Mu was way to mainstream for me anyway.
Lythium Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Play Arakune. I need to make myself a new Mu avatar. But effort...

bakahyl Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 (edited) edit: i got ninja'd by luminous edit On the earlier point about 2c, I was completely wrong, however it does need to be about a minimum range 2c in order to otg, I need the game to actually test stuff. On what aspect of 2c were you wrong about earlier? Edited November 15, 2011 by bakahyl
bakahyl Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 (edited) Unlimited Mu's new distortion is a bit lacking. She summons 4 static habaya, each of those orbs can do 15 hits. Also this unlimited fires 2 habaya orbs at the same, but it seems that it uses the old CS1 habaya though. Not sure if she still has the imperial ray, was not shown in the video. edit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eEFHv-Vk-dM Edited November 15, 2011 by bakahyl
