I have been wondering for some time, but was there any point that Mu's dp also has a guard point besides it's invincibility? Other dp's don't have it and origins seems to clash more often with random moves than other dp's.

I really like how Origins clashes with Dead Spike, and then you can't do anything afterwards :v:

Rushing origins fixes that

Deadspike 14 frames of recovery GO.

I dunno whether that's fast or not, but I always get countah'd when they clash.

Hush, you ;-;

Let me put it this way.

Origins and Deadspike clash. Since only the projectile was in range, Ragna did not get hit. Both characters enter recovery. Mu has 37 frames of recovery, while Ragna has 14 frames of recovery. Ragna now has 23 frames to punish you. Mu is in counter hit state until the last five frames of her recovery, meaning Ragna has 18 frames for a counter hit punish. His 2C has 12 frames of start-up and can fatal counter.

"Occasionally when 2 physical attacks touch, they clash. When a clash occurs purple lightning will appear on screen and a clapping sound can be heard. During a clash, both you and your opponent's attacks are negated, and you each can CANCEL your attack into another attack at no cost (but not a jump, dash, block, etc.). If the clashed move has mulitiple hits and you do not cancel your attack, the latter attacks will come out."

Wait do you mean clash or guard pointing cause if you mean the latter then what lumin say = true the former then aginor

For example I often clad with hakumens 3C using origins, I've become so accustomed to it that I usually cancel into 2b

Guardpointing the origins I often rc to gain the upper hand

If people mean guard point then say guard point. Aside from bakahyl's I don't see the 2 words guard point except in yours. They're talking about clashing dead spike with origins. And if you clash I don't know why you would ever discuss about recovery unless you don't cancel the move that clashed into anything.

I don't play Mu, so I dont' know how Origins works, but Pwnge said he found himself not being able to do anything after clashing it, so I assumed he was just kinda stuck in recovery.

Have you tried inputting any other move after the clash, Pwnge?

Hush, Agi, I know what clashing is. It's probably just a guard point, I guess I just

made a mistake

Quick, someone, bite my head off.

Hello 6-8k.

Well shit, I could have told you that part. You memorize all this frame data?

And yeah I have, just nothing happens. Again, I was just

WRONG

, and that it's actually just a guard point with longer recovery than I want it to have.

Either that or he clicks the big "Frame Data" button at the top of the page before he decides to drop bombs.

Don't worry lord i knew what you meant and corrected you with a soft touch... Not the brutish tactics of the overlord-ginor

Do you wana do some games btw? Lord/lumin?

Origins is a super guardpoint which is unthrowable. If you time Dead Spike such that it nails the guy during the start up of Origins, it won't clash and Mu loses. If the active frames of Origins and DS coincide, there will be a clash.

If that's the case, then I'll let him answer the question like I intended. It was an honest question.

Sure, I'm down for some games, just give me a moment.

I've actually memorized a good 85% to 90% of Ragna's frame data PFFFFT

I know bits and pieces of everyone else's, such as overhead start-up frames (yes, I know how fast everyone's normal overheads are) as well as start-up and active frames of moves that are used as meaties and poking tools. Other than that, I look up everything else as I need to, knowing this shit really does help.

Mu's uppercut is not a projectile.

Dead spike is a projectile.

Only moves with projectile properties can clash with moves that have projectile properties.

Mu's uppercut will only autoguard Dead Spike, but never clash.

And this has now become the reasoning for why I shall not DP on wakeup vs Ragna any more. You know, with certain conditions and stuff. Whatever.

Ugh, I need to get better at this game. Maybe I'll get a stick when CSX rolls around...
