StarGazer Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 2B untechable time is crappy, put 5B as a bridge between em so you get something like this j.D 2B 5B 6A j.B DP
Bibiquadium Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Using 2B 6A on Jin I can still use my j.CB j.CC DP
StarGazer Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 (edited) If the Proration Scale is really bad then 2B 6A wont work I guess. -Bunch of Videos- VS Platinum http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkaJgtdm2f4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGZVrmZcIdQ Furry battle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6hjAQi1nVQ&t=8m25s VS Tager http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkaJgtdm2f4&t=8m9s Makoto Welcomes the New Year with 4 looses in a raw like a boss, wish you a new salty year Makoto fellas. -Our objective in 2012- -EX Makoto Full Guide (Planing on something like Manta Tager Guide <3) -EX Makoto Combo thread (We can work on it with the Combos we have from kuresu) -EX Makoto Video thread (Already done, will just update it now with any good match I find) -EX Makoto Beginner Help Thread (Optional) -EX Makoto Tutorial Video (Optional) -EX Makoto Gallery and Fan Arts (Optional) -EX Makoto Discussion Thread (Our Chat) I will try to list and sort the Combos for the Combo Thread soon. Reisi Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 (edited) Talking about match-ups, can someone test whether this stuff is guaranteed oki or if we have options to get out of that or at least shorten the mix-up Rachel gets off of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Pg9-IbBZkw Notation: 6A > 5B > j.C > 2D > jc > j.2C > j.214A > 2D > 5B > sj.B > j.A > j.B > j.C > jc > j.2C > j.214B Still haven't gotten the game yet to test options. :/ Supposedly, anything but immediate emergency tech will get caught by George. I don't like the idea of wasting barrier when blocking mid-air, just to eat the mix-up once I touch the ground. Any help would be appreciated. Edited January 1, 2012 by Reisi
Bibiquadium Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 (edited) Uh, just hold barrier on tech? Else you'll keep receiving George in the face. The mixup will probably be a jump overhead which you can fit a CH DP 5B 6A 5B 5C (...) Edited January 1, 2012 by Bibiquadium
Reisi Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Well, the problem is, if you tech immediately, you're stuck in the air for a while and since barrier is a bit more important in CS:E than it was before, I just wanted to know whether there'd be a way to avoid that situation. I'm used to Rachel mix-up by now (doesn't mean I don't get blown up by it xD), so I'd rather be on the ground and take the mix-up than drain my barrier gauge.
Bibiquadium Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 You can't avoid using barrier in the air when she's near you on the ground, you'll get hit by a air unblockable mixup. And your options are to parry a rod, dp a jump overhead or CH, Rachel's pressure is hella retarded and gotta go accordingly.
Crosell Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Doing better than my new years. i went like 3-20 last night in extend. It felt like an exercise in frustration lol

kotokot Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 makoto is fun to play in sex, definitely will sub her.
StarGazer Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 makoto is fun to play in sex O_O definitely will sub her. Come on, why no one wants no main her? she always get subbed.
StarGazer Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 ☆Combos☆ = A Starter Combos = [Midscreen] -2A > 5B (6A > 5B) > 5CC > [5D / 214ACCCCC] Basic BnB on standing opponent. -2A > 5B (6A > 5B) > 5C6C > 214AC[A/D] Alternative version of the standing opponent BnB. -2A > 5B > 5CC > [5D LVL2 RC > 3C / 214ACCCCC RC ] 2D > 2C 214ACB > [5CC/5B6A] > j.B > jc j.D 50 Heat Combo -2A > 5B > 5CC > 6B© > 214ACB > 2A [5B6A/5CC] > jc j.B > jc j.D Combo against a crouching opponent midscreen. [Corner] -2A > 5B > 5CC > 5D > 2D > 2C 236AD > 5CC > j.B j.D > [2C > 214AD / 5CC TK DP/ 5CC > jc j.B > jc j.B DP / PF] Stable corner BnB works on everyone. Everybody liking it like this? If so then I will make the combo thread based on this layout, of course after Omni agreement. One more thing... -6BC > 214ACB > 2A > 5CC> 2D3 (as fast as possible LVL3) > 2C > 214AA > Aerial Milesw, Bibiquadium please try this combo. if it doesn' work then try: 5CC > 214ACB starter. if it still doesn't work then try: 2A 5B 6A > instead of 2A > 5CC.
Reisi Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Personally, I prefer combos sorted by position, rather than by starter, going from weakest starter BnBs towards more damaging options or certain conditions that have to be met. So rather something like this: Midscreen: -2A > 5B > (6A > 5B) > 5CC > [5D/214A~C~CCCC] *standing opponent* -6B© > 214A~C~B > 2A > [5B > 6A/5CC] > j.B > [j.D/j.CB > j.623C~D] *crouching opponent; use 5B > 6A on character A, character B, ...* (general notes like these could also be posted at the beginning instead for each combo, I guess) -j.B+C > RC > 2D > 2C > 214A~C~B > 2A > [5B > 6A/5CC] > j.B > j.D *airgrab; 50 meter* Corner: -2A > 5B > 5CC > 5D > 2D > 2C > 236A~D > 5CC > j.B > j.D > 5CC > TK 623C~D(2) -2A > 5B > 5CC > 5D > 214A~C~B > 5CC > j.B > j.D > 2C > 214A~D *if too far from corner to go into 2D* -5C CH > 2D > 2C > 236A~D > 6A > 5D > 214A~C~B > 5CC > j.B > j.D > 5CC > TK 623C~D(2) And so on and so forth (some of these probably aren't optimal, but you get the idea). But, that's just a scrub's personal preference, so go with whichever notation method people find more appealing (and actually helps new people out the most, that's the main goal). :3 Also, thanks to StarGazer for actually getting this started so I can butt in~
kotokot Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 (edited) Come on, why no one wants no main her? she always get subbed. will main for food! she is pretty weak and unstable, winning with ragna or haku is much easier(and her parry is to hard( lady underboobs combos http://www23.atwiki.jp/makotonanaya/pages/66.html what about csex matchup threads? Edited January 3, 2012 by kotokot
Bibiquadium Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Tier whoring I see, and she's far from being weak, its all about how you use her.
excelence Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 @Reisi : That's personal reference, i get it easier to sort combo route from starter option ... and didn't we have Optimum mark on each starter and position?
Crosell Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Tier whoring I see, and she's far from being weak, its all about how you use her. No she is weak. I played some extensive matches with OrionXElites Valk and Tager today Played ApologyMans (walljumpman) hakumen quite a bit Played some ragna and relius matches. Any questions about these match ups for the time being? I can give some basics but nothing too overly indepth. Best advice I can give to Makoto players transitioning is this. There are no good match ups. Everyone has a strong grasp of there character already and they got better. While you have to learn yours from the ground up again.
Bibiquadium Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Trying to compare a B tier to a S tier I see. With that logic a CS2 Hakuman couldn't win versus Makoto. I'm playing versus Kirbster, Vice-Taicho, Kaeru, Brice, Level-5Chan, and even tho I'm still a player in the making I can still get my wins and good matches. (except Brice, can't do shit to his Tager).
Crosell Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 (edited) I don't even know what you are talking about I'm just gonna refer you to my signature I would also like to add there is nothing wrong with tier whoring. Play to win if thats your desire. Edited January 4, 2012 by Crosell
Bibiquadium Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Implying that playing a top tier character is the only way to win. Weak is really a bland word, she may be if you compare her to CS2, but over all she still can be a threat when using the proper spacing and tools, she just isn't the (lol 2A midscreen into 5k combos) anymore.
kotokot Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 (edited) weak compared to otherchars, except tsubaka. And risk-reward for frametraps/mixups is bad for makoto on midscreen and sometimes in corner( btw how you approach to relius? 5B/2B have good range and after blocking this you have to block mixups with ignis. Edited January 4, 2012 by kotokot
Bibiquadium Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 You'll have to look at Mak vs Rel videos, there's no actual Relius player in my scene to have any matchup exp.
