reaVer Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 http://www.lizardlick.com/ buttons and sticks tend to be universal. just replace everything just as it was. there's plenty of youtube videos that will show you everything you need. Their PCBs are all out of stock:/
Leonil_Requiem Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 (edited) Their PCBs are all out of stock:/ Lol, is that my fault? xD I have 4 or so extra, you can by one if you want, their only like 15 bucks. If you wanna but a whole Sanwa JLF , those are 20/25 iirc. Edited December 9, 2011 by Leonil_Requiem
reaVer Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 To make sure we're on the same page: I'm referring to the main PCB where the buttons and stick are attached. And I'm not saying it's your fault, but you pasted the link:P I need that stuff before the tournament.

Sticks are going to be the least of your problems at tourneys. I hope you find what you need in time to get you practice in. ^_^
ElvenShadow Posted December 12, 2011 Author Posted December 12, 2011 If you cant get the stick ready before the tournament, there will be plenty of sticks there. I'm sure someone will be happy to let you use theirs.
ElvenShadow Posted December 12, 2011 Author Posted December 12, 2011 I am pretty much fine with any side tournaments as long as someone wants to organize/run it and bring the equipment for it. If you plan to run a side tournament, post up the rules here. I will add the rules to the first post under side tournaments. Arcana Heart 3: singles (by Greats)PS3 $5 entry fee (top 3 payout 70/30/10 split) Best 2/3, double elimination. Winners finals, Losers finals, and Grand finals are all 3/5. No game breaking glitches (i.e. Tyr Nazuna lock glitch) Winner must keep character, loser my switch. Both players are allowed to switch Arcana on win or loss. Blind arcana select is allowed (by the games built in function) Arcana Heart 3: teams (if there is interest)PS3 $5 entry fee per player, so $10 per team (top 3 payout, 70/30/10 split) Double Elim Waseda format (first 2 players play, second 2 players play, then if it's a tie the winners play for a tie breaker, and the teams can decide what order they go in) Same rules as singles otherwise. No extra matches for finals except for GF if the team from losers bracket resets it.
ElvenShadow Posted December 13, 2011 Author Posted December 13, 2011 Osirun from Power Up will be giving away $30 redemption coupons to all of the 1st place finishers of each of the main events at Frosty Faustings IV. There will be one ticket for each main tournament (singles), so that would be a total of 5 tickets (GGAC, SSFIV, UMvC3, BBCS, MK9). This is a nice added bonus and is in addition to any prize money that the top finishers will win otherwise. Thanks to Osirun for giving these away! For more information about Power Up 2012, check the thread here.
ElvenShadow Posted December 13, 2011 Author Posted December 13, 2011 Good news! For those of you who want to play casuals and practice up on Friday night, Nickel City will let us set up consoles in the event room on Saturday night and we can play until the store closes at 1 pm. We are not being charged to use the event room for this extra day, but Nickel City normally charges its customers 2 dollars to get into the arcade on any regular business day. So if you want to play casuals on Friday night, bring any setups you want and just pay 2 bucks for free play all night on the consoles. You, of course, can also play any fighting games they have on the cabinets which operate on nickels and are very cheap to play while some games are even on free play. We can leave the consoles and TVs in the event room overnight so that it takes less time to set up in the morning. However, you are of course free to take your consoles and TVs home and bring them back the next morning if you don't want to leave them there over night. I will be there playing casuals and setting up some stations for sure and I know several out of state players who will be down to practice. So if you are looking for casuals on Friday night before the tournament, just head to Nickel City.
Greats Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 sounds cool, I know i'm going in friday night so i might have to hit that up

ElvenShadow Posted December 14, 2011 Author Posted December 14, 2011 So, I just noticed that BBCS Extend comes out in the US AFTER Frosty Faustings. The Japanese version comes out on Dec 17th. Is anyone planning on importing it? Do people still want BBCS Extend even though it will not be out in the US yet? We could have BBCS2 instead but... what do you all think? I don't expect to have a copy of the game personally so unless someone can bring BBCS Extend, I don't think we will be using that version of the game. Please provide input.
St1ckBuG Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 You should probably stick with CS2 until EX drops in the US... unless everyone going to FF for BB has imported it. My vote goes to CS2 unless proven otherwise.
ElvenShadow Posted December 15, 2011 Author Posted December 15, 2011 Thanks for the input St1ckbug. BB players seem to be pretty quiet on the matter. Doesn't seem to be much interest for BB... I was thinking of adding KOFXIII as a main game. Do people even want a BB tournament? I have no problem running it but I just want to make sure we run the version that the majority of players are going to want to enter. Is anyone coming that plans to bring a BB setup, and if so, which version?
dooku Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 I'll have EX. If we're not running that I'll also bring CS2
ElvenShadow Posted December 15, 2011 Author Posted December 15, 2011 OK I made a poll to decide which version of BB we will use. Please vote if you plan to enter BB. The results will be announced in 15 days. http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?12854-Frosty-Faustings-IV-BB-version-poll Thank you Dooku for bringing a BB setup. It is a big help.
Zinac Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 I need to know if anyone in the Central KY/OH area needs a ride or wants to carpool to this event asap. Its a six our drive for me and I would rather fly if I have to drive alone. This really is open to Ky/Cinci/Cbus peeps. Otherwise I'm just going to buy plane tickets.
ElvenShadow Posted December 20, 2011 Author Posted December 20, 2011 KOFXIII has been added as a main tournament. First post has been updated with the rules!
Leonil_Requiem Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 (edited) If you need someone to run BB singles and teams, I'll do it. I can have the format, rulings, etc, etc, etc done tonight. Edit: It seems like CS:EX has a majority of the vote so it could be like a prevailing tourney; give BB crowd a reason to get hype about the up coming season for BB CSEX, in the rare event it makes Evo again. >,> Edit 2: Brandino, mind bring your CSEX2 and set up? Chris Chaos Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Brandino, mind bring your CSEX2 and set up? Wait, there's another installment of EX? That was fast concidering CS:EX came out on the 17th, LOL! I can bring the BBCS:EX, but someone else will have to bring the PS3. I can bring my PS3 if that's an issue.
ElvenShadow Posted December 25, 2011 Author Posted December 25, 2011 It seems like we will be going with BBCS Extend. If you have a copy of the game, please bring it to the tournament. It will be on PS3

dooku Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Yep, I'll be bringing my PS3, Extend, and an Asus monitor. See you guys in a couple of weeks! Here's to hoping that BB gets a decent turnout.
