reaVer Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 How much does it cost to rent a car at O'Hare airport?
ElvenShadow Posted January 3, 2012 Author Posted January 3, 2012 Reaver, these are the major rental car companies at the O'hare airport. ElvenShadow Posted January 3, 2012 Author Posted January 3, 2012 REMINDER 11:00 AM - Sign ups for all games begins. 12:00 AM - GGXX, SSFIV, MK start as for UMVC3, BB, and KOF... those games will start roughly an hour or so after the other games start. Teams start once all singles tournaments are finished. We have the venue until 3 am. All tournaments will easily finish before then, but we will have extra time for casuals and money matches. Also remember that there will be casuals at Nickel City on Friday night from 7 pm. Regardless of what games you plan to enter, please be there at 11 AM for registration. Even though some games start later, we want to be able to make brackets as fast as we can
Brandinoli Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Hey guys we're pushing buttons in MB, AH3, BB and KOF in room 127 in the red roof hotel across the nickel city arcade.
Chris Chaos Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Frosty Faustings BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend Finals - Top 3 Results: First Place: Leonil_Requiem (Ragna) Second Place: Arisu (Ragna) Third Place: ShinSyn (Jin)
reaVer Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 (edited) If someone wants to play with me, please let me know within 30 minutes. Good games to all the people I've played. It was quite an amazing event even if it was just for one day. For those interested, I'll be in chicago for the rest of the week, so if you want casuals just hit me up on dustloop or on irc. Woocash Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 GGs to everyone! The BB turnout and setup made me sad (8 people, 1 console) but it was fun to play Extend nonetheless. I wish I didn't fall out of GG so quickly, I'll do better next time.
a Lisianthus Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 ggs to everyone a little sad to see only 1 or 2 people from chicago area repping blazblue, but whatever lol. support the game, guys!
Chris Chaos Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Good Games to everyone I played the other day. The matches were fun and I learned a lot. I'll be hitting up training mode once I finally get my copy in my hands.
Woocash Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Well, I'm thinking that one of the reasons so few people came for BB was that you had to pay 20 bucks to play a new edition of a game that you haven't played before... I know that you can argue that the changes aren't so drastic, but pretty much most of the people that came have played the import some/owned it. I was winging it/using some stuff I learned by just looking at combo vids. At the same time, who knows, maybe the turn out was so bad in itself. That's just my theory though.
Chris Chaos Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 You're absolutely right Woocash, people were saying BB should have been 10 bucks, especially since it had such a low entry number, and they should have informed everyone at the beginning that only top 3 were getting paid (even though it was pretty obvious due to the circumstances). I started living out here in Chicago and was surprised we got 8 players total. I heard that BlazBlue was dead out here when I moved here for school and I was kinda bummed out because of that. Granted 8 people is laughable but it was more than what I was expecting originally. Being at Frosty Faustings did encourage me to pick up Guilty Gear again though, it has always been a fun game to me, but I don't have a PS2 to play my copy on since my reverse compatible PS3 had the video chip melted to the motherboard of the system.
Sol-Bumguy Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Guilty Gear results/entrants? Good to know the event was sucessful as usua, and congrats to the winnersl <3 Wanted to go so badly...

I see your points, and I agree, but let me tell you that last year FF3 had about 25 Blazblue players, it was CS (aka the version everyone had) and the entry fee was 10.

Oh, I believe you, and if those conditions were met (using CS2) maybe we would have had a better turn out. I did hear that last year BlazBlue was pretty popular, but when I hit up the Chicago Thread on Dustloop, a month before I moved out, I was told it was a dead game now. Hopefully that will change once Extend hits the states and people are aware of it.
Delrian Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Guilty Gear results/entrants? Good to know the event was sucessful as usua, and congrats to the winnersl <3 Wanted to go so badly... All I know is that Elvenshadow won.
Amadeus46Art Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 I've heard apparently the reason more people didn't enter BB was "it's not at EVO". So uh...welp. I'll let you make your own decisions on that.
Zeero Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 so you're saying that it only had 8 entrants because people didn't have the new game which is being played? what happened to passion which would end up more like this? "oh its extend which I won't get to play till Feb, since I'm so deeply in love with BB and the game is so alive, I will pay 20 dollars just to play casuals and a tourney to get to play this game as soon as possible? There really is no reason why theres only 8 entrants outside of 1) dead game is dead 2) outside of 8 players, nobody else has passion in the game hope you guys wake up to "why its not at EVO"
a Lisianthus Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 i actually debated entering or not (im not very confident on ps3 controllers lol) but i just bit the $20 entry fee and did it anyway, since i might as well get more time to play extend while im there

I'll let you make your own decisions on that. people dont play bb because its not at evo and bb is not at evo because people dont play the game LOGIC
