hakimiru Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 shoutouts to Nu-13 http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?14664-BlazBlue-Chrono-Phantasma-General-Discussion-Hype-Thread&p=1404480&viewfull=1#post1404480 About time. I was never too worried to be honest =3=
lolokoa Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 so I guess everyone in this thread will be playing a Nu character :D
Legacy Edge Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Couldn't they just anounce this from the beginning and save me the pain and agony? Oh well, too happy right now
HexaNoid Posted October 17, 2012 Author Posted October 17, 2012 Happiness aside, I'm really interested in this new 'mode changing' business Nu has supposedly got now.
toanenadiz Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Hoping whatever video they were talking about sheds some light on that. If Nu gets some Fiona/Labrys awesomeness in her new mode, I will never say anything bad about Blazblue again.
Legacy Edge Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 We also have a new anti-air. Not an expert or anything, but weren't we already good at the anti-air department?
toanenadiz Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Yeah but another one couldn't hurt. The new AA might also be specific to her new mode, which may lack many of our normal AAs.
HexaNoid Posted October 17, 2012 Author Posted October 17, 2012 If Nu gets some Fiona/Labrys awesomeness in her new mode, I will never say anything bad about Blazblue again. Personally, I'm still hoping she take's a page out of A.B.A's book and runs around swinging that sword over her head. Also, why do you guys care about new attacks when we presumably still have 4B?
Nu11 Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 we love Nu Lambda thanks really... i want more TK crescent x3
Hellknight10 Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 as long as I can still pew pew pew I'm ok with this
ElegantShadow Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Well, I'm happy that our favorite sword spamming robot girl is back and better than ever, but now I have so many questions now.... Like if she is a mode changing character now will that somehow take away from her Zoning in someway? And how will the mode change work? Will it be like when Aigis changes modes or something completely different? Also my biggest worry is the fact that since primers aren't in CP how will Spike chaser be of any use now? I hope we get another loketest soon so we can see both Nu and Mu in action...
HexaNoid Posted October 18, 2012 Author Posted October 18, 2012 Unless they've changed the property of the move, Spike Chaser could still be used for zoning and combos. I'm just as curious about how mode changing will affect her gameplay though.
Vulcan422 Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 (edited) Mode changing will definitely make her very different. Armorless will probably be used to get big damage with the huge Murakumo sword, leading into a knockdown or wallbound so she can change modes safely. Her mode change will probably have a meter like Aigis' that goes down. Edited October 18, 2012 by Vulcan422
Durkslag Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 So where is this armorless mode coming from? Is there any info on it? If she will have an armorless mode with the sword it would require a completely different move set and it would be a different character, that seems very unlikely. Aigis glows a little during orgia so maybe Nu will look a little different (no visor/eyepatch maybe? please? =D) and get a couple of new moves and different properties on others. Would love some info on this and even though I would love armorless mode I seriously doubt it will happen. To celebrate the return of Nu I found this awesome picture http://i.imgur.com/faBo0.jpg Was thinking about adding "UMAD?" and posting it in the CP thread but the thread is bad enough already so didnt
kenja0 Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Where is everyone getting the idea that Nu has an armorless mode? Her mask is just off in her artwork exactly like how she's not wearing armor in CT artwork. And Unlimited Nu as an overdrive would be kinda meh. I like the idea of 236B>236C>44/66 for combos in it but double Swords is pointless. In CT, Unlimited Nu's double swords made her combos do less damage (In CS they did more because of 236B/C and minimum damage supers). If anything, I want OD Nu to shoot double swords in the 5/6 directions for 5D, 6/2 directions for 6D, 5/2D directions for 2D, and 4/5 directions for 4D. Make everyone rage.

Oh yeah, almost forgot: this scan has a screenshot of Nu changing modes, but I can't figure out the text that goes with it. If anyone has better kanji-recognizing skills than me, please try translating it. 戦闘モードを変更することで、使える技を変化するのが特徴だ (when she changes to battle mode, her specials change as well) basically, I think it means she can switch in and out of murakumo mode. eh, should have phrased it better. Nu looks like she has two forms, her murakumo form, and her pre-battle armorless form with that giant sword. If I had to guess 戦闘モード would be the murakumo mode, and going into it will alter her moveset
Kuraudo_V6 Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 I'm excited to see Nu back. After fighting Lambda for so long with Ragna, I want a challenging match-up again. Playing this game so long and with how balanced things are I can't get mad like the old days going "STUPID NU I CAN'T GET IN WITH RAGNA" :P
someonewhodied Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Against a good lambda, raggers still can't get in though. Except 5B. Dat jesus kick.
Myoro Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 I'm pretty sure unlimited drive means x2 swords. What else could it be? Maybe, instead of DD-DD-DD, it'll be DDD-DDD-DDD.
Kuraudo_V6 Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Against a good lambda, raggers still can't get in though. Except 5B. Dat jesus kick. Nothing's ever easy. Just gotta be patient and look for that mix-up, if Lambda's gonna throw a sword straight out or into the air.
