Welcome to the May forums Miz_Erable.

I'll try to further explain, but everyone else did a great job.

JI every time...What is the use of this?

This is for Habit, all it does is increase consistency of combo's because of the extra input practice.

Is the increased pushback of any help?

You only have increased pushback when you run for the loops, as it negates horizontal sliding, because the game thinks you've jumped. It HURTS you to JI when you run for it. it doesn't hurt you when you just stand there, as you do for most May combos.

Someone could explain to me why it is "pro"?

JI everytime is pro because anytime you FRC and fall aimlessly, "without an airdash", you look horriably noob.

After a lame l00p, if I FRC the last HSVD>AD>j.H>land>j.H...

this last j.H (just after landing) never touch my opponent. He always recover in time...

This combo is best for light weights, and not after the second loop. Additionally, it is very difficult and requires strict timing on the FRC, AD, J.HS portion.

How about you come over here and make GGPO work,we can Finally do this. huh huh.

Hsien-Jo- My Favorite May color is her Slash Green outfit. I <3 it. But, Zombie May was just sooo different I decided to use it.

Thank you, I'm reading them for a long time so I wasn't remembering that I never posted. :keke: Thanks everyone for the responses. I guess I just forgot the FRC>AD>H>etc after the HSVD, wich I always do in the last rep of the loop, of course. Didn't know about JI cancelling horizontal sliding. This is interresting to know since the JI must not be made when OHK is done when the opponent is in the corner.

My favorite color is the white May, slash button in ex mode.

Your exactly right about the corner OHK not JI the first rep.

There are however, other times when you shouldn't JI the first loop because you ran in.

Examples would include.

OHK...

CH 2HS...

CH J.HS...

2D/2HS, FBHSHD...

I will compile a list in a little while and update the primer. Some people just need to be told this. =).

Edit- LIST of when NOT to JI the first Rep.

OHK- running lame loop.

2H, FB_HD- running lame loop.

2D, FB _HD- running lame loop.

214D,-running lame loop.

CH-2D- running 2P, lame loop.

CH-2HS- running lame loop.

CH-J.H- running lame loop.

CH 236236S- (WHALE)- running lame loop.

The only other example of when NOT to JI a rep is when you Combo RoboKy and you FRC a SVD and have to run in for the next loop. I'll updated the combo thread later today with the cool stuff I've found out about combo'n Robots.

This is the only area in the May thread I thought I could ask this. For all you stick users that are May players, what advice can you give me for selecting a stick. I read the thread on it but it doesn't help since Ive never used an arcade stick a day in my life (I still call sticks "bricks' "cinder blocks"), so I wouldn't know what from what. What stick do you guys use and what would you recommend for a first timer?

An ol school May color that never seemed to make it back was Mays color in GGX where she was All in black Tanned skin, aqua blueish hair, It was a color me and my best friend like that we dubbed "Dark May"

In terms of colors I have a few others but because Im very Indecisive I chose the EX: square cause blue is my fav color and brown is my favorite color of hair to see on a girl so I stuck with it and it seemed so simple I had to like it.

I also like the colors:

Normal Dust: where shes in Black out fit, tanned skin, red hair and Golden Anchor. (If the anchor was black, read, or white id pick this as main, cause as muchas I like the gold color anchor it seems to stand out too much and does match with the out fit)

EX S: White rain coat, black wet suit, brown hair (nice solid color, brown hair nuff said)

EX HS: Nice red color coat, black wet suit, blonde hair (red with black is always a nice color combo, but with black hair that color would be rockin)

Ex Dust: (Johnnyish color), Black rain coat wit red trim, blonde hair, red anchor (if this color was the ressurrection of the Dark May color id be a happeh man)

Off AC topic but I loved Isuka forr the color edit

Two favorites for May were

St Aug May, aka Purple and Gold May (High school colors of my high school)

I thiiiiink it was Purple Rain Coat, gold trim, black wet suit, tanned skin, i want to say black hair, and purple anchor

Ocean Blue May: Black rain coat, blue trim and wet suit, tanned skin, blue anchor and blue hair.

Wish i had screenies but my isuka died long long ago.

At first I couldn't pull myself away from Reload HS, but now I've found myself sticking with Zombie May because that blood red anchor is just too good. Really most of May's colors are just too good.

Id be Hori then cause im not competitive in street fighter as in the Doujins, Those three you named are my joint. Goin back to the workshop with Ciel in MB soon so Ill definetly keep hori in mind.

If I remeber right I have Isuka on my laptop, but its in the shop, ill find a way to save a pic of the colors when I get it back

Hi there! I just begin to have color habits..For free play I usually take the blue/red color ( ex D) or the light green (ex S). And for tournament, it's dark May or purple may ( reload P or Hs)

Sup yall...My question today is that I am having a problem with 6hs into VD...I can execute this wit no problem when I charge the 6H, but when I want to do Dolphin without the charge, I can never get it off..What is the button input to do 6H into VD without charge... ~1~

6HS.

6HS Special Cancels and Super Cancels. 6HS does not jump cancel.

you can cancel 6HS into -

OHK= Overhead kiss command grab 63214 K

RR = Resestive Roll Dragon punch 6323 S or HS...grounded

Hoop Set= 41236 + P/K/S/HS can be held forever by buffering button.

SVD= Slash vertical dolphin 2,8 S

HSVD= Heavy slash vertical dolphin 2, 8 HS

SHD= Slash horizontal dolphin 4, 6 S

HSHD= Heavy Slash Horizontal Dolphin 4, 6 HS

FBSVD= force break Slash vertical dolphin 2,8 S, 8D

FBHSVD= force break heavy slash vertical dolphin 2, 8 HS, 8D

FBSHD= force break Slash horizontal dolphin 4, 6 S, 6D

FBHSHD= force break Heavy Slash Horizontal Dolphin 4, 6 HS, 6Ds

WHALE= OMG it's a whale! 236236 S

Jackhound= OTG launch, scales bad, very un-usable 214 D

You can NOT cancel 6HS into-

6HS SVD, pro tip, it's LATE.

Input should be 6HS, [3]. . . . 9S or 9HS.

-No charge buffering tricks

-MAN IT UP!

6HS can be charged fully to make an Overhead, it's pretty good on wake-up. set-ups discussed in next Guide.

Like kyle quoted in my method, try that and try to hit the person with the tip of the anchor so you see it hit the ground use that for an indicator and just practice to get the feel of it, its a certain feel youll know when you have it, after which try it on the overhead kiss, it has about the same timing but you cant press "up s" to early or too late, just experiment with the feel of it. Practice makes perfect.

I'm sorry it's taken so long, as this and Character match-ups have been put on hold. (If anyone is particully interested in why, it's because classes just started back-up, New/Last semester = Crazy)/ Combo's videos released SOON. Match-ups, HOS than Eddie. A little victory post here. My boyfriend is officially scared of my take on May. He's a May player himself, and I picked up on playing her as well (makes it easier to have someone that knows most of the combos and can show you while you're learning). Well, I've been practicing a lot in the last few weeks, and he decided to play me a few times. I was told I've challenged his manhood. XD

Nice, we have May players sprouting up all ov'a. hip hip hooray. So, I am going to do the video for Ryan-Bill's HOS first, as his content is so original he will blow a hole in this community. So far I've got all of the clips cropped, named, order, and the music picked out. There's not much work left except for the "editing". Yay, I'm pretty ecstatic guyz. I've got about 5 and a half mins, Due to the limitations of my Library I've selected a Silverchair song from Straight Lines (Thieving Birds). It is a good song though. What do you guys think? Anyone have good combo/showcasing combo video music around 5:30 in length?

Damn guys, i just lost about 8 hours of work The video was soooo close to being done too. My CPU is like level 3 or something. She got low on virtual memory and actual Hard drive space at the same time.. it was sick. I will start/finish the CV on Jais computer within two days.
