Amethyst Reitou Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 I am Amethyst Reitou. I've been playing BlazBlue since Calamity Trigger. I even have the unopened bottle of Mana Energy Drink that was a "Special Edition" for BlazBlue that I got when I bought the game, which was at Anime Expo the year it was released. Got extras, but that is moving away from the point. I never seriously played BlazBlue mostly because I never had people to play with and just no urge to try to play online. I've only recently, thus, finally decided to take the plunge, and as I always found myself drawn towards Mu to try and learn her, I decided that she would be the one I start with. I fortunately live not too far from an arcade where the likes of Kensou and Kid Viper, among others I think, have been known to show up, so with some luck, I might actually get my ass beat by them and maybe learn a thing or two that way. Also, I finally managed to find my wayward headset for the 360. So... yay!

And I know right, I thought the games were passable, It quirked during both our combos here and there but for me I've had worse UK to US. I think we just have to never skip intros. Passable, I guess. My search-fu skills are low, and any searches I try so far don't show anything that would make me think that they are you, either via XBL tag or Forum name. None the less, I shall work to not disappoint.

Going with Mu this time around because I didn't follow through with learning her in CS1. Hopefully I"ll be able to get some games in with some of you when I'm done training a bit~
Aginor Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Got my setup up and running. Just need stream software (wanting to get wirecast) so I can stream. No mic though! :D Took so long to fix but it was because I had my DVI and HDMI ports plugged in and I think the monitor got confused of which signal to display. Oh well...I guess I can start streaming if people want.

I am a moderator on Neoseeker for the Role-Playing and Art Central forums, which is pretty much a voluntary position. I might, but don't want to jinx it, be getting a writing position on the news team which I'm doing some serious positive visualization on. I really want to promote the fighting game community there since it's full of FPS blockheads (no offense if someone here likes those games). I chose to play Mu because she kind of puts me in a place where I need to learn to move on the screen, and learn to play more evasive/defensively. Plus her move-list is smaller so I don't have to remember too many different inputs on each button.

I think that's where Mac Chaos is from, he's one of those guys who I've always wanted to fight offline lol

He's a Hakumen player who isn't afraid to hit D lol.

I'm an average/decent player, never do well at tournaments but I'm trying my best to change that. I support the scene as much as I can (organizing the local events, driving out 6-8h to majors every couple of months, going to meetups 3x a week...), and I netplay every now and them. Nice video, I can't thank you enough for covering stuff like that. Very small notes you might want to consider: -for 2c otg > Yata, be sure to include 5c, it's free damage and heat, so 2c 5c Yata -after omohikane knockdown, back up a bit before catching their tech with 2b, it gives you the spacing to go into 2b 5c 6c SoD 6b, for a considerable upgrade damage wise. Np, doing this stuff makes me discover new tech sometimes :D Don't you have to dash for 2c 5c yata? I find it hard to do consistently after a j.c j.2c (low loop I think we call it?) unlike after a 6a j.2c (mid loop?), where as 2c yata is pretty reliable, and you're not sacrificing that much damage. But yeah it has happens that I was just barely short on meter so maybe I should practice it more About the backing up after omohikane though, nice, I had no idea! with 5b starters in the corner we can easily net 7.6k combos too ... alil tight but really not too hard On crouching yeah, if you have one for standing plz post :O (unless it's just the 2c 5c enders)
