JG Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 carl is tager tier with smp combos in other words, neither one of them can do them Let“s hope that the japanse can discover something with this.
JG Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Same move prorate aka repeat proration SPM= Syndrome Premenstrual If you learn this, you can unleash the true power of Nirvana. Making her going wild and destroy anything that dare to cross road with her! Keep in mind, if you maintains this status for too long, Nirvana will deplete all his gauge in a short period of time.
PyricSeraph Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Hey everyone, I'm new here (and to BB and Carl too). I was hoping that someone could help me with a little problem I'm having. When I try to do Allecan I end up messing up and actually doing Allegretto after hitting with j.2c. I can usually pull it off in training mode when the dummy is neutral, but I'm having a lot of issues doing it while the opponent is airborne. If it helps, I'm trying to do: 2A > 5B > 6B > 623C > 22D > 5C > input 2]D[ > jump forward j.B > j.C > (2D hits) > 236B > j.2C allecan... When I connect with j.2c I sink a bit and allegretto comes out.
TD Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 do j.2c as low as possible. make sure the foe is as low to the ground as possible.
PyricSeraph Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 (edited) Thanks for the quick reply, I'll go try it out now. Although its a bit weird getting used to the timing of waiting for the opponent to drop. EDIT: I was able to pull it off, I guess its time to go practice until its comfortable. Thanks again. Narcastic Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 try doing this on your training dummy to train your allecan precision and height. 1. face opponent in CON 2. do the 236236d distortion. 3. move close to your opponent. 4. mash those j.2c allecan - j.2c allecan as low as you can untill the distortion runs out. this is my method to clean my Allecan pecision though, just sharing
Tong Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 i'm having lots of trouble doing 3C 2]D[ j.C ... Nirvana just keeps teleporting instead of Pound Punch.
Akira-Shiro Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Ur pressing down a additional time, try doing (2D)>3c instead im still not sure what u plan on doing with that combo even if Ada did attack Y use jc???? it would end a practical 7k combo
Tong Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I practice on CS1/CT lol Thanks for the tip, hope my inputs don't screw up and 3D comes all the time. It's fine on PS3 pad, but a bitch on a 360 probably.
Zoogstin Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 New BB coming. Who wants to bet Carl is still gonna find some way to be A-tier...
White Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Im hoping were S.... -_- we deserve it Lol no one wants an S tier Carl, the horrors from Ct still retain
Akanishi Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 I think everybody is tired of the Ragnas, Bangs and hakus online though. It's time for Carl to be S-tier for once :D I'm hoping for better normals really, they kinda messed them up for him in CSEX. I will need to follow the changes on the japanese bbs... I'm actually quite curious on how he turns out
Prophet Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 All I want is j.2C to be an overhead and have the kara throw airdash back. Then I will play this game again.
Akanishi Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 (edited) http://jbbs.livedoor.jp/bbs/read.cgi/game/45148/1329213212/338 Just checked the BBS for Carl. It seems like the same old news with Carl loketests-- loads of negative. I'll post a small summary for the current changes: 1) You can no longer combo after cantabile (lift height is too low) 2)5B on block can't be j.c'd 3)4D sends opponents flying upward 4)2D bounce height lower, but still combo-able 5) Fuoco really fast, comparable to unlimited nirvana fuoco lol 6) 6D hitstop possibly got lower, easier to break from sandwich combos 7) After J5C it's possible to cancel into j2C 8) 3D forces down 9) Anima doesn't cause opponents to bounce Basic Carl loketest stuff as before. Though the 5B being impossible to jump cancel on block was already in a loketest before (CS2 loketest or CSEX one). The new move btw draws opponents in when they're close enough. She basically does a spin once and if the opponent is close, she does 2 attacks. Hitstop is pretty low. Edited August 6, 2012 by Akanishi
sinder Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 to be honest i wouldnt be surprised if they made a blocked 5B to no longer be jump cancelable, because then it would make carl become REALLY dependant om Ada to the point where he has no safe blockstrings anymore i really hope they don't make it a perma solution though, because that would just suck... a lot
Niko Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 I'm curious about ASW's intended use for Cantabile if it can no longer be followed up with a combo. Depending on when it becomes techable maybe pseudo-oki?
The Noble Clap Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Dude, no Cantabile solo combos almost totally wrecks Carl's damage without Ada, unless 6B-6A is good now. But hey, Carl looks seemingly fucked up in every loketest, right?
Adelheid Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Lol no one wants an S tier Carl, the horrors from Ct still retain Hey, CT Carl at least had to earn two hits. If he had the clap loop as he was in later iterations it would've been a serious problem, but in CT all it did was give him something to actually make him worthwhile. And he was fun in CT! That tension was interesting and different. But, he wasn't S-tier. Oh, but I'm not saying it's ever really justified to say that your character "deserves" to be S-tier.
Akira-Shiro Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 i say deserves because we work the hardest for what we earn,,, compared to other Stier characters >.< like our current S-tier
Adelheid Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 (edited) i say deserves because we work the hardest for what we earn,,, compared to other Stier characters >.< like our current S-tier Eddie, in Guilty Gear, is actually a very tricky character to play. He's got complicated movements and there's a lot you need to know to play him well. But in Accent Core, he's overpowering. Even though he's not a braindead character, he's far too good, and everyone will tell you that. This might be outside your sphere of knowledge, but C.Viper, in Marvel 3, is far harder than any of the other extremely good characters in that game. But if you've fought one who can bring out her full strength, you realize: "It doesn't matter that this person is putting in as much effort to do what they're doing, because what they're doing isn't fair." No character deserves to be S-Tier. Ideally, there wouldn't be an S-tier at all. Yes, it sucks when an extremely easy character is S-tier because you'll constantly run in to them, but if the hardest character in the game is the best character in the game, that's not really better, they'll still be the ones winning tournaments. Let's not mince words: You say deserves because you want to be the one getting easy wins, you want the feeling of "I worked hard to learn this character, I deserve to have an edge." But that's not really true, at all. It's shortsighted and implies that you've become complacent on your journey to victory. Edited August 6, 2012 by Adelheid
