Chris Chaos Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Go ahead and pick on me. I love when elitists act as if everyone is completely beneath them. The thing is...I couldn't do anything. But you know, I suck at this game. Go ahead and troll everyone. Sitting there and constantly losing is NOT fun. But whatever. Losing is how you learn, but if you get completely salty over it, you're not going to get anything out of it, also fighting someone once and leaving doesn't help you obtain a greater skill either. How do you learn if you play, lose, get mad then leave? You don't. Honestly, if you feel LK is being an elitist (Though he can be sometimes, LOL), this time, he was not, he called you out on a few things and you got salty. Take the grain of salt and taste it, learn from it, and hold that shit. you say that as if it's not. when in fact it's one of the best ways. tell me, what is your ideal way of learning something in a fighting game, then? l really would like to know. btw, it's only stupid if you don't know what to do. SAVE your replays. all you need to know to start is understand what you got hit by, and what you were doing at that moment! very simple, and takes hardly any effort. This will help you a lot! Do it, it will work wonders for you. Hell doesn't every character thread have a "Critique my *insertcharacternamehere*"? Use it. Also if things aren't coming out, it's probably not netplay, it's probably your execution or your refusal to adapt to netplay. I mean, I prefer offline and love that shit but when I'm online, I don't have that many issues with executing combos unless the lag is horrendous, and I'm pretty sure everyone on DL doesn't have shit internet. Sorry for wasting your time today Vice, Shin, Cookie and everyone else. That was you? I knew when I saw gold Lambda, something was up.

It gets annoying fast. I was just annoyed at my gameplay. I already knew what happened. Moves just were not coming out. That's it, end of story. I don't know if it's the controller or what it is but if it is the controller, time for a new one. And fyi, I did not leave after one match. I lost probably 13 matches and NOTHING I wanted came out. So I stopped caring and trying.I learned nothing in those matches except how to die slower. At least I learned something when I fought Moy's Platnium. I wasn't upset at all because at least moves were coming out. But then it again it probably was my execution. And I do save replays. Those were not replays to even show though. Thank you xntrikcat for not giving up on me and giving much needed advice. I don't know what happened today but it was a far cry from the improvements I started to make last week. I will get back on track eventually. All I know is that I play better than this. I guess I was tired that time too. Edited May 10, 2012 by cookiehours
Yggjrasil Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 (edited) ggs to Persona_Heart, till he kicked me out of his room for going in too hard with Bang, xkurotsukix, RockVolnuttX, and 2_LEGGED_DOG. shoutouts to Black Onslaught > Gold Burst shoutouts to breaking guard primers all day shoutouts to Neutral Game matches. Troll Badguy Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Ggs Luis, sorry I can't make it out to da scene, got a real screwed up work schedule again =/ but I miss playing offline It's all good, I'm heading back later home to New York Thursday (wait that's today now) since the semester is done. I'll still netplay though. I'll be back after summer too. you will lose if you do the same stuff over and over you usually do the right thing over and over and you win, wut do! how do play this game/win at this game LK!?
cookiehours Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 I just want to say sorry to LK for getting frustrated over something I should have known better about. The number one rule I messed up when dealing with Hazama is never be in the range of his chains. You kicked my ass and taught me a good lesson. I was too concerned with combos instead of using basic fundamentals and common sense, which got me killed. I thought back on our matches and realized that I made mistakes I should have stopped making on the third match. I should have set up one stein at a time and I should have utilized my normals better, especially J.B. I think I have a much clearer mind today.
toanenadiz Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 That was you? I knew when I saw gold Lambda, something was up. Perfect. That means I am slowly working my way to becoming the one true gold Lambda.
Errol Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 GGs StayFree, your unique brand of trolling was actually quite fun to play against.
Star-Demon Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Yo cookie: LK isn't necessarily putting you on blast to be elitist or put down your play - he's trying to show you that you have some things to do, and he's showing you what *he* recognizes when he played you and what *he* did with it. He's telling you you should try to do the same - recognize and adapt. Your character IS easy and strong. I would say there's such a thing as being spoiled, seeing D_E go through the same thing and now feeling burnt out, but I think the advice is going towards playing or studying the opponent more actively. I put my shit away, I'm just watching videos and thinking about what I did last weekend. Watch my latest stream recordings! TBH I hate not being able to play anyone not on a 0 bar - it's unfortunate LK is on the list of people I just can't connect to right now. I'd love to play more on stream with others because it's more social. LK's been pretty helpful, even if my favorite thing is still appalling him with Shenanigans. Thankfully I'm moving next week. My connectivity should improve without all this hardware in my way. PS: you salty.
Star-Demon Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 get mad more scrub Get Mad - Harness the hate: Wanna borrow my controller? :P
Chris Chaos Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 You're always late to these things, aren't you? And I wasn't salty. I wish people would stop using this stupid phrase. It gets annoying fast. I was just annoyed at my gameplay. 1) This is probably the first time I'm late on a response, sorry that I have things to do IRL. I quote things I feel I can discuss or put in a good two cents. If you read my post with a clear head, you would see that I had positive feedback to help you, as straightforward as it may be (because that's who I am), it was all to help you. Fuck feelings, tell someone what it is straight up, and they'll get it. Get over your anger and stop skimming over things and focusing on what gets you mad, that's why you miss a lot of good information 2) Yes, you are salty. 3) Salty is a big gaming phrase now, you will have to get over it. You've been through 3 controllers that I can remember you accounting for on this forum, so if moves aren't coming out, it's as I've said before; It's most likely that your execution is the problem, or you're not allowing yourself to get used to the timing of netplay (which makes no sense because you are consistently netplaying). Own up to your issues and just accept it; it's your fault moves aren't coming out. Also, I will call you out on leaving for one match against many players, myself included at least 2 times that I can remember. I played in your room and got one game in and won, after that you were done, and I was invited by you! Also, when we were on stream, you bodied someone for free, then you fought me, I bodied you on stream and you left right after that. What's funny is both Zeth and MashThat5A called it saying you were going to leave after losing to me, before our fight even started... At least I learned something when I fought Moy's Platnium. I wasn't upset at all because at least moves were coming out. But then it again it probably was my execution. And I do save replays. Those were not replays to even show though. Acceptance of the truth! You've gotten through step one, I am proud of you. Now, onto the reply thing: A replay of losing (convincingly or horribly) is always good to get a critique on, it gives people a better look at your flaws and can easily pin-point what you are doing wrong. I'm done here, and I'm headed to class. I hope this wasn't too "late" for you and honestly, I don't care if I am. you usually do the right thing over and over and you win That's most likely because everyone else is doing the wrong thing over and over.

Is there some kind of law against leaving a room if you want to practice some more? I mean really? What if you disbanded the room to find another room or just wanted to regroup? I may have had a phone call, I may have been called downstairs or something...you act as if I always disband rooms because I lost or something. It's not always that way. There are times I'm interrupted in the middle of playing. That's all, there's nothing else to it. I don't see why this is a big deal. It's not the end of the world. There are times where I do apologize for disbanding or leaving. There are times where I feel my execution was not up to par in the room so I leave to work on it. Never meant to offend anyone. And I was already done with this. I accept the fact it may have been my execution. So I have been working hard to improve that. I do want to get better and a friend told me that matches should be about learning, not winning. I allowed my competitive side to get in the way of improvement. I know that now. Anyways, GGs to Zaldus. Those were good matches and your Makoto is improving. Edited May 10, 2012 by cookiehours
Dont_Explain Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Your character IS easy and strong. I would say there's such a thing as being spoiled, seeing D_E go through the same thing and now feeling burnt out, but I think the advice is going towards playing or studying the opponent more actively. I don't think I'm burnt out anymore. Yay for me! :toot: A slump was bound to happen and I was probably overdue for one since CS2 I felt the opposite and was still loving Ragna even though others were stronger.
Mucky Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Yo star that stick made my balls shrivel. lord have mercy I disagree, star's stick is a work of art If I ever got a stick, I'd paint it by dipping my butt into some and slapping it on the board.

Yggjrasil Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 GGs to Guardian,Glirandly and gigaitachi. All those other randoms that joined my room can go ead.
Circuitous Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Cookie is still salty? Damn. Dustloop isn't for you. A million times this. If you can't handle netplay, don't netplay. If you MUST netplay, at least don't post here if you can't maintain a clear head about it. It's always griping, excuses, accusations, dodging, day in, day out... every time I check this thread there's five or six new pages, and the bulk of it is always cookiehours or Star-Demon just fucking crying. How the hell do you keep it up? At what point do you think "Maybe it's been me all this time"? The only way I can sleep at night is by pretending this is some elaborate troll. Could we please, for just a week, knock it off? And to everyone else, don't fucking antagonize. This just became an experiment in level-headedness and I don't want anything screwing it up.
cookiehours Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Cookie is still salty? Damn. Dustloop isn't for you. ...I guess everyone missed the fact that I did accept my mistakes.
Jourdal Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 I don't say this enough but...i love this thread. I truly do...don't change <3 On topic ! GGs to Kid Viper like 2 days ago.
Lord Knight Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 ...I guess everyone missed the fact that I did accept my mistakes. good shit! im gonna get on in a bit too
