Vita and PS3 netplay is separate. I know it, I have both versions and I have to rise my "stats" in them separately lol

Other games do support cross-play, but sadly Extend doesn't

You could say the biggest advantage is, Vita's netcode is as good as PS3's, but the wireless nature of the handheld affects D:<
