cookiehours Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 I'll do a FT3 with ya. Good shit on the baby apes, they're teh ugly. Edit: nvm, your room already has 3 people in it, besides, I get to play cookie a bit. Double Edit: Cookie, why you RQ? I know you're mad I baited that DP like nothing and did a reset on you but come on lmao. Nah, I know you have your reasons, whatever they may be XD Ai karumba.... My grandmother decided that today was a good day to go shopping in the rain with her cart. Then she ranged the freaking doorbell just when we were about to play. Then I didn't want you to think I just quit before we even started so I had to disconnect. She bought some clothes for me and wanted me to try them on. Then I had to wipe the floor because the bags she brought in were wet. After that, I said screw it and just turned off my PS3. And I should have known doing that DP was a bad idea. I've come to the realization that I have no clue how to fight Platnium. She's like the devil's child with too much candy on her plate.
Lich Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 I'm gonna hop on bb for a little bit. Don't know how good my connections gonna be, though. It rained and currently many are using up my bandwidth. QQ

Moy_X7 Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 hold up, how can Ragna's 2A low profile under Jin's 5A but it doesn't for Jin? unless i'm reading that wrong I'm not sure what you're trying to tell me so I'm going to explain it with simplicity in mind. Assuming that you landed 6A: Jin's 2A low profiles under Rag's 5A. Jin's 2A beats Rag's 2A. Jin WINS. Jin's 2A low profiles under Jin's 5A. Jin's 2A beats Jin's 2A. Jin WINS.
Rhiya Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 EAD Toan, eat a fucking dick XD I have enough guessing as it is with DPs, instant overheads and whatnot, last thing I need is more guessing lol If you don't like RPS, I don't understand how you like fgs so much Almost everything is RPS
Moy_X7 Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 If you don't like RPS, I don't understand how you like fgs so much Almost everything is RPS Considering that BlazBlue is the only fighting game I play... yeah... lol I used to play Pogeymanz competitively back in the day. Boy did I get my fill of RPS playing that bullshit. I know there's a lot more RPS involved in BB what with the instant overheads, DPs, counters, Tager, Noel, anti-airs and anti-air baits, pokes and their respective baits, Burst baits, and whatnot but I'd like to not add another set of RPS to that list lol.

I kinda wish we had a running list of all the reasons cookie has quit or left a room, just to see all the random possible situations that have come up over the last few years.
toanenadiz Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 So we have 7 advantageous situations, 5 disadvantageous situations, 5 situations where we're completely fucked, one 50-50, and one where it's not worth being in that position. I don't know about you but this is some bullshit right here. You can never have enough guessing. And I guess I just don't see what is wrong with 6A. It is one of the 2 fastest standing overheads (ignoring properly spaced Lambda 4B(2) ) and ArcSys probably didn't want it to be used in the way it used to so they made it less safe without meter. There is no use worrying about and you just have to use it against those 7 characters. Every tool has its specific purpose.

That's why good okizeme is delicious. Reduces the amount of RPS you play. And it's why I'm glad I'm finally playing Litchi.

I have a tendency to get interrupted while I'm playing. Unless I'm playing late at night. I don't lie about these things, not over an online game.
floatwater Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 YEP I read that wrong i saw it like that in my head at first. wait what ever happen to you and 3s and marvhel Moy?
Lich Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 GGs to the few games I played with dont_explain and Tempest. My connection was a lil better than I expected although choppy at times. It was good but I didn't wanna touch Hazi in it, next time! I'm upgrading my net soon, I can't wait. lol You, I need to learn Hazama matchup. I fought you before and was a sad panda. Okay just add me and invite me whenever I'm on.

I'm challenging myself not to use steins with Mu this week. Use normals only.
zeth07 Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 GGs etc. Man I'm getting bored of netplay. You could pick out the really good players and challenge them to FT5s or more. Or..... Try this.
Starlight777 Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Who wants to make me free in a game I don't play often?
Dont_Explain Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 (edited) GGs to TD and Lich. Lich you should have stuck around for the netplay that was had with CreamyManCandy. I Probably should mashed more looking back....as if I wasn't doing it enough. Just didn't think D nails were coming in full force today. TD I'm sad you didnt get an Astral on him. Also Lol at me trying to 6A Relius like 5 times in a row after getting bitch smacked by Ignis whenever you did the air attack. You'd think I would have stopped doing it. Edited May 15, 2012 by Dont_Explain
floatwater Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Who wants to make me free in a game I don't play often? YOU. ME. NAO After that KOF AHOY
Starlight777 Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 YOU. ME. NAO After that KOF AHOY I didn't mean the guy down the street.
Moy_X7 Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 You can never have enough guessing. And I guess I just don't see what is wrong with 6A. There is no use worrying about and you just have to use it against those 7 characters. Every tool has its specific purpose. The thing is that every other character gets something out of their overheads. Sure you have Hazama with his own crappy 6As that lead to nothing without meter but it breaks a primer and leads to ridiculous damage with meter, not to mention that he gains it all back by the end of the combo. That and he has Rasenga to use as a pseudo-overhead as well as pressure reset. With Jin, all you have to do is block low, tech throws, and be aware of the ambiguous cross-ups that require meter. Yeah, ok, he can use resets as a form of mix-up as well but even then all you have to do is block low and if you eat the overhead and are one of the characters that can use a jab to screw him over, then go for it. I would much rather have 6A be a 22 frame OH as long as it's +4 on hit again and it has a P1 of at least 90. You know? Make it so that it's worth spending my meter. 50 Heat for 3K mid-screen and 4K in the corner is just pitiful.
Moy_X7 Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Speaking of that, I wonder if I can mash on Hazama's 6A on hit? lol @Cross- I played them for like a day or two and quit. Not my types of games. Marvel is too damn random and 3S, well, let's just say that I prefer doing my flash ass, 12 hit+ combos lol.
floatwater Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 (edited) I didn't mean the guy down the street. you know as much as i'm over there WE end up on netplay rather than offline and when we are offline it's your brother that plays you. i just watch and then doze off. EDIT: again i would play SG buuuuuut training before i do that again. (dam syringe combos) KOF we haven't played since it came out in VS instead of me sitting there trying to do HD combos SCV is just painful, i still have to get around to that. Edited May 15, 2012 by Crossfire
Rhiya Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Jin is more about running pressure until the other person fucks up, at least as far as I could ever tell. Maybe try using TRM more?
TD Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 ggs to blue beast, lucia waltez, dont explain, creamy man can ( who i'm p sure is actually stayfree), lich, and lastly, guardian for the ft3-turned-ft4. shoutouts to a certain astral not connecting when it should have, then getting astraled the next round when l (possibly) shouldn't have. i'm 200% sure l blocked that astral with barrier, l was in blocking barrier animation. i'm assuming bang's astral is unblockable or a throw, gonna check the wiki overall fun rm

It avoids lows and is -1, but he still doesn't get anything off it unless you RC or it is CH and even then I'm sure it isn't much damage. You either gotta just do it and RC, or just do it and hope it CHs to get something off it. I don't really think there's much point to pick out specific normals that you feel should be one way, cause if that was the case I'm sure every character could do that and it'd be an on going cycle of "buff this cause I want all my moves to be amazing". My point is it's easy to look at specific moves and think they should be better, but in most cases you need to look at the whole picture. I'm sure every character has good moves and not so good moves, that's usually how fighting games work. shoutouts to a certain astral not connecting when it should have, then getting astraled the next round when l (possibly) shouldn't have. i'm 200% sure l blocked that astral with barrier, l was in blocking barrier animation. i'm assuming bang's astral is unblockable or a throw, gonna check the wiki It's completely unblockable.
