FRKZ feels like a mini-curse mode but thankfully you can abare out the Bang and get lucky and win sometimes. Real talk I usually burst the first seal combo the Bang does if they know how to actually use FRKZ. I feel like I have better luck trying to block Arakune's IOH crossup garbage than dealing with a Bang gone pringles.

Naoto is sweet.

GGs to everyone I played today.

His grabs aren't 360s though.

They aren't? EZ-modo damage arrived

EDIT: How many fucking times am i gonna get Billy before i get Saiki. lets find out people.

I semi dropped K' for now, i just wasn't feeling him much. Like the character put his play-style has an odd momentum.

I like zoning and chasing people with D Black Out after a 236P ~ 6B blowback. Getting out of the corner and going through projectiles with EX Black Out. Using EX 236P ~ 6B to get in. Fire glasses that plow through projectiles. Also, his 5B is + on block and has pretty good reach lol.

I feel right at home playing him. I just need to get used to playing neutral with Kula. I'm just gonna spam the shit out of 5B/j.B and j.CD lol.

@Star - You couldn't pay me to play that game online lol. The only reason I play that game is because of the offline support for it here in Indy.

What? I'm confused. I dont play grapplers and I dont have a hard time at all doing a standing 360. Plus the input doesnt make it easy mode damage anyways.

real talk l cant 360.

if rachel revolved around 360's, l wouldn't be able to play her.

BB is pretty generous with the 360 inputs, you don't have to do the entire 360 motion for it to work. A half-assed 360 will do lol.

I'd applaud every Rachel player that wrecked my shit if she needed 360's for inputs.

I LIVE

No seriously, I went to Midwest Championships (A major, it's an EVO qualifier) and there were only 5 people who entered BB. I won, but it felt so fake. =(

Is this what our game has become? Outplayed by Samurai Kirby? (The Mystery Tournament)

I get what you mean, he is solid and i know his strengths. i just haven't really sat down and trained a lot with him. I'm more focused on Leona

Das ma waiiiffuuu

. it's good to see your city has a scene.

@D_E: I meant that since he has no 360 inputs free easier damage for netplay players.

lmao, I could almost sig this.

It goes to show that Midwest is fucking poor. We got the people at Michigan, Illinois, a few from Ohio, and me, from Indy lol. Too poor to do anything this year... economic crisis is crisis-like.

Barrier blocking is legit though, just cause player has to hold 3 buttons instead of one doesn't make it nonexistent. + barrier blocking is actually there to help make regular block, mostly, more efficient.

I didn't know that any hit is a CH, but once again, to profit from a CH you need a right starter.

As far as blocking being as easy as regular overheads, i have to disagree. In FRKZ his options are: low, overhead, throw, overhead-like jump in, and a near instant cross up (which once again creates a sublevel of mixup). You have to keep track of more than double bang's normal options.

Pskotik are you psyched up for next year? We need a Carl player around here except my Carl... :v:

Oh yeah, I'm pretty stoked about it. I can finally play offline against other people again haha. How good's the FG scene at Waterloo anyways? Apparently you guys play Melty, please tell me that you do.

"They" do, not me. I tried once and got raped by a stick. I mean the fighting stick...

lol, I didn't either. The only major I know about right now is Summer Jam.

Summer Jam turn out should be interesting.

I wonder if the turnout will be bigger than ECT. I think we had 3-4 pools for BB at ECT which I thought was decent all things considered.

If not for BB, people should turn out for P4A at least since it's going to be the first major for it.

That's because no one promoted it except the people hosting it.

There was a trailer, flyers, it was announced on podcasts and interviews, but it never got coverage by SRK, Eventhubs or the other websites like other majors do.

For instance, the tournament thread wasn't stickied on SRK until the week of the tournament, other majors were up there the month of the tournament. They did make an announcement about it on the front page of SRK until the day it happened, other majors got coverage for months until they happened. The trailer that was released got put into a video roundup, instead of having it's own article like the other ones.

In general, they tried to do all they could to let people know it was happening, but the big guys never did anything on their end.

Oh well, it'll probably do much better next year.

So there are people who play it. Good to know. Are you gonna pick up P4A?

I can understand Bang turning iron into gold (almost anything into 4K+) during FRKZ mode but the mix-up is no harder to block than your average overhead. I wish more Bang players would use FRKZ to be honest. Also, lol at the fact that I can block almost all of the cross-up mix-up but once that 5C comes, it's game over XD

I seriously doubt you can "block" Bang's FRKZ mix-up mid-screen for more than a second.

Probably not. Didn't like it and I'm not a Persona fan. But if people get it and make me play it, I might like it.

I did it, even I was all like "did I seriously just block all that?". I was playing IBeeTrolling's Bang last night and managed to block most of the cross-up mix-up until 5C lol. I find it easier to block cross-ups than overheads for some reason.
