That's some good shit. Not like Hazama of course, zoners need better tools up close. True. Her normals in this game are fine despite their short range. 2C should be +3 on block again

I was starting to fall asleep on half of those matches and started auto piloting moves I shouldn't have been doing. You clearly were doing something right with Platinum so all you have to do is use those items to get in on me. Meh, I really shouldn't be playing BB at 3 in the morning. GGs to X0 (bunch of numbers). Your Carl is very solid.

gamehead1987 Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 (edited) sigh. This is probably a terrible idea, but I'm going to try to explain what happened. I had a 4 player room open. It was up for a pretty long time, and eventually MGJ joined. We played a handful of matches and nothing noteworthy happened. Then, one particularly one-sided round happens where I used GF and caught her with a bunch of 360B purple throw counters until she died. I didn't really think anything of it until she sent me a message about it on PSN, and it was basically downhill from there. For the record, I know that she has played since CT and I had expected her view on the game to have improved by this point. So yes, I was quite blindsided as well as amused by her reactions. Things might have been different if MGJ had asked me for suggestions, or even just said she didn't know what else to do. I would've tried to help her in that case. But that's not what happened. Instead, she started acting smug with me, and dismissed my playing as scrub tactics without any attempt to understand my reasoning behind it or the fact that it was working. I even tried to explain to her that those purple throws only work if she tries to jab me. She ignored me and decided to nitpick the point about her jabbing, even though it was obvious she was trying to do SOMETHING and purple throw counters don't happen for no reason. After that, she kept carrying on and on about how I didn't respect her shit (oh the irony) and it was like talking to a brick wall. I can't speak on behalf of others. I've spent plenty of time playing with people who are completely new to the game and doing my best to point out mistakes as they come up in game, as well as pointing them to matchup threads and stuff. I don't have a problem with MGJ for playing like a scrub or whatever other people say. My problem is with her attitude. I'm willing to help people as long as they show an interest in learning. But the impression I got from MGJ is that she treats BB like a glorified pissing contest, and I frankly have no patience for that. I don't care if you're God's gift to fighting games; don't try to lecture ME and say the way I'm playing is wrong if you're getting blown up by it. That's all. My better sense tells me to ignore this and move on, but if there's a possibility I'll play MGJ in the future, I'd rather have addressed this now than have it happen again. If I left anything out, or if I'm wrong about something, let me know. Otherwise, I've said everything I wanted to say. Actually from what I saw of her replay's you were pretty much getting blown up by her until I think she got frustrated you weren't taking her seriously. And I know for a fact she hasn't even been playing that much because we both get up at the same time together and go to school. With exams on the way and work she probably has not trained in a while. So what does that say about you mucky ? if shes a scrub and you got blown up by a scrub what does that make you? Me personally and the way I play I would never let you get away with half the stuff you did. Then again I don't really respect anybody except for a select few on netplay lol I'm not excusing her behavior ( which I think she was just venting and not exactly trying to start something IMO) but I also don't like it when people leave out important facts about someone's skill or behaviors. Why can't we drop this again? Edit: There's one thing I would also like to point out. This comes back to attitude and people in general. I remember I was in her room one day playing on my DS and heard someone say fuck green jeans. Who do I see on her screen ? Why the loving and "solid" ahiko sanada or something to that effect? Then he presumed to kick her after winning one match vs her positive wins. If I remember correctly she said ggs and left it that. So I asked her if could play, switched to my account and then preceded to show him a lesson in tact.... with MIC and all. The point I'm trying to make is no one should judge other people based on what they heard or read for that matter. Hell if I'v gotten on the mic and cussed people out both on call of duty and BB.
