Wild Candy Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 You were doing run up 2Ds, so I won't lie and say that you didn't lol. The difference is in when and where you use her Drive, you don't have to use her Drive completely randomly, try to make a read or a guess when it counts. Remember that small frame disadvantage is nothing for Noel when she has 2D/4D, the only time you should really hesitate to use her Drive is during wake-up as most characters have an OS to deal with 2D/4D guessing. Okay, tone down the random 2D's, got it. Thanks for being honest. I wanna use Noel to a point where I won't be using through Chain Revolver abuse.

Yeah, don't abuse Chain Revolver unless you're trolling. Noels that know what they're doing use 2D/4D sparingly and when it really counts.
Starlight777 Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Thanks for being honest. I wanna use Noel to a point where I won't be using through Chain Revolver abuse. Chain Revolver abuse is half the fun with Noel though. The thought of someone having a miniature aneurysm every time they eat a CH D normal is hilarious.

Moy_X7 Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 considering picking up noel to counterpick moy You're dead to me the moment you do that

Errol Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 You're dead to me the moment you do that i'm convinced that I would be winning more matches in a couple of weeks than years of work on tsubaki Don't lie, they still throw them out all the time. this is actually true.
Demon Wind Bomb Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Don't lie, they still throw them out all the time. Only if it works, man.
Wild Candy Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Ah Chain Revolver, the Drive that makes everyone else weep softly to themselves! Lolz!
Moy_X7 Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 i'm convinced that I would be winning more matches in a couple of weeks than years of work on tsubaki this is actually true. You saw how those matches went with Wild Candy. He has a long way ahead of him before he becomes a threat as Noel, yet that random Chain Revolver abuse was almost enough to take a match from me. Why play solidly when you can just guess your way to victory?
zeth07 Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Only if it works, man. Even if it doesn't work she can still keep going, so half the time that doesn't even matter lol.
Wild Candy Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Noel's just a character who can gain momentum with very little effort. If a scrub Noel is hard, Hate to imagine someone who actually knows what their doing!
Errol Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 (edited) Even if it doesn't work she can still keep going, so half the time that doesn't even matter lol. I guess that's the main difference between Noel and Bang huh? Bang for Mini-Noel Zeth, are you still playing BB or waiting for CP? Edited August 10, 2013 by Errol
zeth07 Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 I guess that's the main difference between Noel and Bang huh? Bang for Mini-Noel Zeth, are you still playing BB or waiting for CP? Bang can't really mash anything and/or get away with it so I wouldn't think they're similar in that regard. I still play every once in a while.
Errol Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Bang can't really mash anything and/or get away with it so I wouldn't think they're similar in that regard. I still play every once in a while. Bang can't mash... Bang can't mash????? Zeth don't lie. Bang players mash even more than noel players, they just get less off of it and lose pressure if they're just blocked... usually? i never block so... anyway let us play sometime.
Moy_X7 Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 The difference between Noel mashing Drives and Bang mashing Drives is that you can avoid Bang's Drives even after you make contact with them as long as you're not auto-piloting stuff. With Noel, your attacks simply go through her and you get hit anyways.
mAc Chaos Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 i thought mashing was the point of playing bang

Since bang can put out one move that beats everything from the ground, use jump D to beat out stuff and also dodge throws, at the cost of jump startup.. I don't know, they're different, but in my experience bang players mash far more than Noel players. I don't have any OS's to hit Bang with 6k combos like I can against Noel.
PP1221 Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 (edited) GGs to Uri_WoZ for 5 hours of pure pwnage, astralling me 3 times and winning 70 rounds out of 84. 70 losses in one room is a new record for me! :D Edited August 10, 2013 by PP1221
Urichinan Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 GGs to Uri_WoZ for 5 hours of pure pwnage, astralling me 3 times and winning 70 rounds out of 84. 70 losses in one room is a new record for me! :P GGs to you as well, and shoutouts to Astraling me in all 14 of those other matches. Lol You've got a really good Noel, I had a ton of fun. We should definitely play more. =)
PP1221 Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Definately, I'd love to rack up 100 losses in one room next time ^_^
toanenadiz Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 i'm convinced that I would be winning more matches in a couple of weeks than years of work on tsubaki I think you should try that out.

How is it you can withstand that much?! I'd be sobbing buckets/roaring expletives before I even hit 30 losses, let alone 50. I can't even last 10 losses. How do you do it? What's your secret?
Renvalt Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Okay, when's the next Dustlooper session taking place? I'm forcing my way in - whether anyone here cares or not.
