Just to ask: What are your thoughts upon the matchup in general?

I play Plat, so that's why I ask.

Well IMO i think the Jin vs Plat match-up is even since i am playing against someone who knows what they are doing with her and is incredibly good. I could be wrong because it goes back and forth when i play Swagna5B but if you are talking about her match-ups in general for most of the cast i wouldn't know since i don't see much of platinum at all you would have to ask Swagna5B or anyone who plays Platinum.

Its pretty much whoever gets momentum going first. If Platinum can keep Jin grounded, its pretty much in her favor, however Jin's air pokes are far greater than Plat's and they give her a hard time if he can use them efficiently. This matchup is pretty fun imo.

The Plat vs Jin MU is probably slightly in Plat's favor. Her 2B topples his j.C is he's trying to fish for CHs with that. 2C is great for stopping cross-up attempts. Her 5B is about even with Jin's 5C, it has slightly more range than his 5C but it's slightly slower. Jin's 6C > 2D doesn't work too well on Plat, so Jin has to settle for weaker combos outside of Sekkajin range. Jin's only a real threat in air-to-air battles with j.C and when he has you in the corner with some meter handy.
