WolfCrimson Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Are there plans on DustLoop to make a guide of some sort to help those who import BBCP who can't read moonrunes to navigate through the menus, training mode and such?
Chaoschao222 Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Are there plans on DustLoop to make a guide of some sort to help those who import BBCP who can't read moonrunes to navigate through the menus, training mode and such? A menu and options translation guide? Yes I already talked about it multiple times in this thread recently. Please search the thread, or at least the last 20 posts, before asking questions that have probably already been asked before
Myoro Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Does anyone know how long Play Asia tends to take when shipping imports? I'm trying to calculate when my copy of Chronophantasma will get here... any info is much appreciated!
Solless Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 I believe I read somewhere that distributors will start sending out games a day before the actual release date. Using my order from AmiAmi as an example: They say they're going to ship it a day prior to launch date, and I picked EMS shipping (2-5 days, but let's hope it's 2). With Japan being over the date line, we are one day behind them, i.e. their 24th will be our 23rd. So if they ship it on Japan's 23rd, that means it starts shipping on USA's 22nd, add 2 days, and I should hopefully get it on 24th USA time. Hope that clears things up a smidge.
mAceOfHearts Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 No, BBCSE came out way before Sony started to push digial PS3 retail games. If you really want the game just go buy it on amazon. You can find a brand new LE for under $20. I know I'm late in saying this, but BBCSE should be available for PS3 on the European PSN.
Kurushii Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 I know I'm late in saying this, but BBCSE should be available for PS3 on the European PSN. Should? Can you at least give facts if you are going to correct me. What's the price of it in the store, etc? Make sure you aren't thinking Vita/PSP versions.
Skye Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 I believe I read somewhere that distributors will start sending out games a day before the actual release date. Could you find where you read this? This would be great if true. I got my preorder from nippon yassan with FedEx 2-3 days shipping. AND I have that Thursday off.
Kurushii Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 It depends on the vendor and when they received their merchandise. It's very common for NA markets to do that so you get release day delivery. In Japan it's way more random with import shops.
Nemesis Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 (edited) *hopes crushed by facts* Looks like Im going through Kurushii's guide double time to make sure I get Digitial too lol ...wait the 24th is a thursday and im thinking I wont see my copdy (despite high priced fedex) till monday ? is there any merit in this hopeless assumption? since you guys have a better feel for the importing procedures Edited October 16, 2013 by Nemesis
mAc Chaos Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 What is this talk about a digital release? So we would be able to download it without having to import the physical copy?

Nemesis Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 What is this talk about a digital release? So we would be able to download it without having to import the physical copy? youll be able to download it the day of the release from the JP PSN store -- Kurushii has graciously supplied us with a means and understanding of how to navigate the moonrunes and make it happen (and also possibly how to download the DLC chars too)
Kurushii Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 When the game and dlc go up I'll be adding a section for it in the importing 101 guide. Yes the game will be available digitally if you don't know by now. It'll be up day one for 6800 yen.

Make sure you aren't thinking Vita/PSP versions. No, never mind, it was the Vita version. My apologies, I just remember seeing it on PSN a while ago, with an associated price.

Kurushii Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Average shipping price of a game on AmiAmi is 1200 yen. LE games varies of course because of different sizes.
Moy_X7 Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 How does the payment work with Amiami? They said that CP sells for 5900 Yen (which would be about $60). When all is said and done, will it actually be that exact price at the time that they bill me or will it have some of that "markup" non-sense? lol

When all is said and done, will it actually be that exact price at the time that they bill me or will it have some of that "markup" non-sense? lol I dunno about ami ami but on Nippon Yasan I preordered and then selected the option to pay preemptively to the release -- w/o any worry that the price may change based on what i assume your concerns are with currency exchange?
Moy_X7 Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Yeah, I'm concerned about the whole currency exchange thing as I've never dealt with it up to this point. Should have just bought it from Play-Asia lol
Errol Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 i think a typical thing, if you just use a plain debit or credit card, is a 3% surcharge for currency change. don't quote me though but that's how it worked in the past for me. they might charge more if they know you play leagues this is by your credit/debit company though and not from the store as well
Ajantas Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Considering that I use my UK debit card sometimes whilst I am working in Thailand. My experience with using debit cards in stores abroad is that you get charged in the native currency, but your bank then slaps you with their stupid exchange rates which are not near the 'actual' exchange rate so you sort of lose some money in the process. So say if the exchange rate of USD:Yen is currently 98.7 per USD, you might end up only getting 97.3 per USD from your bank. For small transactions it isn't so bad (you might lose a dollar or two).
Moy_X7 Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Anything from 3-5% should be fine, anything beyond that and I'm gonna be mad. Oh well, I'll cross that bridge when I get to it lol
Nemesis Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Anything from 3-5% should be fine, anything beyond that and I'm gonna be mad. Oh well, I'll cross that bridge when I get to it lol its a price we pay to get our hands on this before NA release ... it really shouldnt be that much -- I know paypal had a % markup like what errol mentioned when I paid for mine
Moy_X7 Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 As long as the price doesn't go up to $66 then I should be fine since that's what Play-Asia charges. I just searched a bit on the net and MasterCard charges a 1% fee and I don't know what my stupid bank charges, probably anywhere from 2-4%, which would still be a win for me.
Kurushii Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Be more worried of PayPal's bad jpy to usd rates. For example my ToS order recently from AmiAmi: Subtotal: 5,910 JPY Shipping: 1,200 JPY Grand total: 7,110 JPY PayPal exchange rate was: Exchange rate: 1 USD = 94.4416 JPY So I paid: $75.29 USD AmiAmi themselves don't do anything bad to the customers like Playasia when it comes to rates.
