Alpha152 Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Don't know if there's anywhere better to post this but I have a system mechanic question! Is there a certain amount of frames while outside of blockstun where you can't be thrown? I'm using the example of Aki's 5A > C Duck > throw which leaves a 4F gap but the throw whiffs. If anyone could answer I'd greatly appreciate it!

firecotton Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Is there any article or something, that could tell me, how to counter specific Furious Actions? It's hard to get in on people with Aki, when they can press 2 buttons and I knocked back to fullscreen again.
Zouf Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Bait them and punish for 5k damage. They will then cease to mash it down.

He actually has a wide range of low commitment tools both with meter and meterless that can bait a variety of dp types.
kosmos badgirl Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Did someone shared the European fankit that comes with the game?.
Silmerion Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 http://i.imgur.com/1Gciery.png EVO stream schedule. Persona 4 Arena finals from 4 to 6 on Friday. Can we all collectively be mad that MK9, a game with half the entrants, is getting eight hours of pools?

Since this is a clearly relevant time to dredge this up: http://pastebin.com/SMrq3Wzp EVO and anime don't mix.

Kurushii Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Anime will have a side stream of pools don't worry. Jyosua and Xie got permission.
Rhiya Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Anime will have a side stream of pools don't worry. Jyosua and Xie got permission. ...Gods of anime over here
Kurushii Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 It might be multiple stream setups for Persona. We are still working out the details. I'm working on the overlays tonight. Trust me we got you guys covered for entertainment.

Jyosua Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 It sounds like countassaulttv also be able to support a stream, as well as finestko. We'll have at least two streams, maybe three or four. It doesn't sound like they'll let us stream multiple pools, so we might have to pick a pool and stick with it.
Jyosua Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 j/k guys, they won't allow multiple side-streams for the Evo games, so only FinestKO is going to stream it.
Hecatom Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Good news, Nintendo wouldn't allow evo to stream smash (this is so sweet >:D) so we will have more Persona on stream http://shoryuken.com/2013/07/09/changes-to-evo-2013-smash-schedule/ Perhaps with this the evo staff will learn to not waste time putting that garbage on the lineup to begin with
antibolo Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 ...aaaaaand they reverted the schedules after Nintendo cleared up the misunderstanding. Including putting the P4A finals back to miserable Friday. And of course MK9 keeps its massive coverage despite having less attendance. There are no words to describe how much I hate the EVO staff at the moment. I'm probably not even going to watch EVO at all now.
Pssych Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Tom Cannon explained why MK9 has it's own stream day and it's understandable. (aka NRS games are taking place in Ballroom 2 and that's where stream 2 is, while other games are taking place in Ballroom 1.)
Gemakai Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 At least FinestKO is streaming some of the P4A tourney, but I'm a little miffed how much coverage NRS games are getting, not that I think they're necessarily bad, but... holy crap, they're over third of the entire stream!
Sanger Zonvolt Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 So is everyone going to abandon P4A for BBCP now?
Kurushii Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 So is everyone going to abandon P4A for BBCP now? BBCP is over 3 months away. P4U can still have a life in tournaments as long as people show up and play. For netplay it'll lose a lot of it's numbers but bound to always be some players on. I know for TFC and NEC this year on the ec it'll still be a main game. After that it's up to people that enjoy the game to step up to keep it alive. With the amount of titles in tournaments already at the very least it'll be a side tournament game behind BBCP and GGAC+R.
Jyosua Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 As long as players continue to enter tournaments for it, it won't die that easily. Given that most of the Anime crowd plays it, it should continue to get decent numbers at tournaments despite its status. I joke a lot about the game dying and I do think BBCP will surpass P4A's turnouts eventually, but Evo is not going to cause a sudden and massive change.
Pssych Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Don't forget, there's quite a few P4U specialists too.
