[8/12/12] Level|Up Presents Persona 4: Arena Launch Tournament - Sponsored by Atlus USA & Mad catz!

We have one more event for Persona 4: Arena for those who cannot make it to Wednesday Night Fights on the 8th.

Level|Up & Super Arcade will be hosting an 1v1 Double elimination launch weekend tournament on 8/12/12. It’ll be your chance to participate in one first tournaments held after the launch of the game, before and after the event we will have stations set up for free play for those who enter the tournament.

If you are interested in supporting the Persona 4: Arena release please come out to this event.This one of the ways at Level|Up we do to gauge interest/support of fighting game titles. The more people that show up and participate in the tournament and in casuals means we can do bigger and better things for you guys!

Atlus USA , publisher of Persona 4: Arena will be sponsoring this tournament by proving copies of the games.

Mad Catz will also be giving away a Persona 4 Arcade unofficially customized stick Fightsick Pro, Tritton Headset or a Fight Stick Carrier to 3 random non-top 8 participant & level|up twitch.tv subscriber during the event!

A total of 3 prizes will be randomly given out during event if you are not a top 8 placer.

Signups start at 3pm

Casuals 3pm to 5pm

Tournament starts at 5pm

Tournament Rules

  • PS3 Version
  • Double elimination
  • Matches will be best 2 out of 3 games
  • Each game will be best 2 out of 3 rounds
  • Round timer: 99 sec
  • No Unlimited characters
  • Winner cannot change character
  • Loser can change character
  • No game breaking exploits, bugs, or anything that causes the system to crash
  • Players must bring their own controller or joystick

Registration

On-site registration only

Venue fee: $5

Tournament buy-in fee: $5

No spectator fee

Prize Distribution

The prize pot is determined by the number of entries received. The top three finishers of the tournament will be given a cash prize from the pot with the following percentage breakdown.

1st - 60%

2nd - 30%

3rd - 10%

i'll try to show up to this one. coming from san deigo and this being on a sunday is a bit annoying since i likely won't be getting home until late late at night...

I kind of wished this event was next week instead of this one in order to give those that actually got the game on official U.S launch time to get familiar and have an even chance against those that got it weeks earlier

Still showing up though, Im sure many will be there

Glad to see such a nice turnout for this. The stream was great, I really wish I could've made it out for this one. I'll be there on Wednesday though.

So who ended up winning WNF since GF's were not streamed and i can not find a results page anywhere
