Henaki Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Hey guys, I played a couple of games online today against people really close to me regionally on the 360. The game is UNPLAYABLE online. Period. Do not touch 360 online with a however many foot pole you think is appropriate until a patch is released. As a 360 owner, I might recommend getting the PS3 version. I thought the reports were a gross overstatement. I think they were an UNDERstatement. The game has like worse than SNK's worst netcode right now. I'm aware there is a patch coming out, but this is a heavy warning. If you are debating between the two RIGHT NOW, do NOT get the 360 version.

That is a HUGE bummer. o_o I hope the PS3 version isn't bad. I was looking forward to this game next week.

aRBy Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 I'll be an optimist and believe that Atlus has tested the patch and will have it ready to go with the NA release. And if not, well then I guess I'll have an excuse to play Story Mode much sooner than I planned. >_>
LiberalTugboat Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 (edited) Well, I pre-ordered for 360 over a month ago when newegg had a pre-order coupon ($12 off). I thought about switching and loosing the discount, but 360 is my platform of choice and I am a cheap ass. I figure by the time I finish story mode, challenges, etc. the patch will hit. Also, BB:CT for 360 had a similar issue, and there was a day 1 patch in NA. Arc Sys knows they have to get their patches out quickly. Edited August 6, 2012 by LiberalTugboat
Keres Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Atlus USA announced on today's livestream that the patch is in the middle of Microsoft's cert process, so hopefully it'll be out very soon. (There's no way for them to know exactly when it will be available, however.)

sinder Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 the lag is not THAT bad i have played several 3 bars, and yes, there is minimal lag, but both players can both perform combos i have seen videos of how much lag this game can handle though lol, and its pretty absurd but like i said, if you play with people close by, you should be fine. dont join 0 bar rooms, it's not like blazblue where the bars are lies btw, if you do get lag with 3 bars, im not calling all of you liars, but i was very curious about how much lag the matches online had, which was one of the main reasons why i bought this game Day 1

iora Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 been playing a good amount all 3-4 connection, same area, about 90% of my matches in ranked id say like 60-70% runs great. like bb. maybe slowdown for first few seconds 20% runs a little slow throughout, playable but... yea... had like 2-3 that were just "mash dp, and hope it ends soon" when patch hits this will be easier. but for now its not totally ass. just sometimes ass?
