Oh I have 0 problem with the Persona Break system, but it's the fact that it's universal and heavily effects some characters far more than others (and on the flip side you have some characters that really couldn't give 2 craps if their Persona is broken) that kinda irks me.

I agree. I like the Persona break system too, but I wish that it didn't apply to Yu.

like how people can just mash the fuck out of A to stop my oki game with Yu

I'm probably going to sub Yu too at some point, if only to avoid mirror matches. Dat oki, 2B, Awakening Super, and DP are too tempting. I'd play Titsuru but goddamn those charge commands just really get to me; I absolutely hate them.

Lol I feel like Mitsuru's charge time is so forgiving I have gotten away with just pressing 4 and 6 and it registered as a charge. :p

If people mash your oki and your oki really can be mashed (i.e., Chie 5D midscreen if you have a 5f 5A), just do meaty instead to keep them from hitting buttons on wakeup

Okay, I'll agree that Persona Break was a good idea but is kinda bad in execution. I REALLY hate how you can't regenerate the cards unless you're persona-broken, so if you've got only a few left, you basically can't take out your persona at all because you'll get broken.

But breaking a Yukiko's persona and then getting in her face because she was useless without it was the highlight of my day yesterday.

No. Adding cards to some characters effects match ups and balance. Put it this way do you really want any zoner to have more persona endurance?

Well, I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but you're doing it wrong then. Aki can't mash jab if you do it correctly, which isn't hard at all.

Every character can DP out of a meaty, but Yu's generic oki set up allows enough time that you can literally watch and wait for the DP to come out and punish accordingly, and if they don't do it, you can just continue your oki...

Wait the DP whiffs? Ok so when I sweep do I just in instantly hit 5D or wait?

It's a cancel (special cancel to be specific I think) so just cancel sweep into 5D immediately. Confirm that they're blocking first so that you don't run in and eat a DP and then you're good.
