WillWork4Instal Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Can I see the material you are basing your assumptions on the three new characters pls It's just speculation. Nothing is written in stone, it's just my guess. As for "material", I just watched the loketests and that little combo preview intermission on Buraji Radio. Bullet's damaging/comboing ability didn't appear to be anything special. Watching Azrael, you can see clearly that this character will have some speed issues (not in terms of his dash, but in hitting the opponent). Watching Amane (especially in that little combo snippet), everyone can see that he seems to have the greatest advantage, being a zoner with occasional close-up moves. Once again, it's just my theory, and you don't have to believe me. Most speculation isn't credible, anyway.
Fluck Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 What do you mean "how will this appear as"? A sign that says "Same Move Proration" appears (in the same place where Counter and Fatal appear) and the victim is able to tech immediately after getting hit by a second SMP move. Litchi and Noel can also pull off semi-practical SMP loop combos in CSE. With that said, I highly doubt that SMP loops will be possible now since the opponent is able to tech immediately after getting hit by a second SMP move. Good riddance, I might say.

WillWork4Instal Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 (edited) Hey guys, I was looking at the intro and at about 1:05 into it I paused it and saw Platinum the Trinity talking with Tsubaki (in her beige outfit). If anyone can get a good picture of that moment, it would be much appreciated. Also, I think I spotted Mikado/Saya's face entering the Nemesis/new robo thingy~ (I also think I saw Tsubaki, Noel (?), and Makoto (?), but don't take this credible, it's too small to verify) Intro: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFY6e1b4hSk Edited October 20, 2012 by WillWork4Instal
FR05tB1t3 BOB Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 so does anyone know if purple grabs still exist in cp? (and by purple grabs i mean can u still grab someone while they are in hit stun or block stun)

Guymam Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 No real material, just speculation based on rather loose logic
Valthazeryus Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 NARUHODO. People were talking like they had fresh details and impressions, otherwise I couldn't possible fathom how it was reached that Bullet would be the new easy character. MY BAD, PROCEED.
Moy_X7 Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 A second SMP move? I assume that you're referring to a single SMP move being used twice, right?
Elochai Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Does anyone know if you can hold to tech like in P4U?
Moy_X7 Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Supposedly you should be able to, I don't see why they wouldn't implement such a needed feature. Tired of mashing in order to air tech like a retard only to overshoot the mash, get an A, and eat an anti-air/air-to-air.

Elochai Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Yeah, I played BB last night, and cried when I got a 5B when I just wanted to tech. I later ate a 4k Carl combo :'(.
ShelledMenace Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Yeah I can confirm the hold to tech lol. Assuming of course that they haven't changed that from the first loketest, but I wouldn't expect them to since it's not really technical and it's so much nicer than mashing (and in p4a derp).

mAc Chaos Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 You could always try to hit the tech button at a precise moment. I like catching people in tech traps. :V
YukiBlue Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Plus people get lazy and just mash neutral tech. Me gusta. In the CP Arcade intro trailer, At 1:19 the inscription changes to "Game over" I'm intruiged.

Moy_X7 Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Now I'm left wondering whether we will get CT Nu (in terms of her personality, towards Ragna at least) as opposed to the emotionless robo-girl that was Lambda. I mean, they took Nu's soul and planted it in Lambda. That's assuming that soul = personality, as we saw how a bit of "valley girl Nu" surfaced when she died trying to protect Ragna from Hazama as Lambda.
mAc Chaos Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 (edited) The thing is that you never know just when you or your opponent might miss a combo and get free blue beat damage. Mashing to tech is the only way to lower your chances of eating blue beat damage. Of course, you have to be aware of your opponent trying to tech trap you, specially when facing characters with command grabs. Although I don't know if Hakumen has a legit tech trap other than the usual anti-air/air throw. Edited October 20, 2012 by mAc Chaos
Moy_X7 Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Well, I can usually tell when the right time to tech is from experience. There tends to be specific spots that people always drop combos on. So I just hit the button around that point. But I'm usually more afraid of getting reset than letting them get a free random extra hits. The first few times I play someone I usually let them do all of their combos even if it blue beats, just to see when it might blue beat and what it's supposed to look like. Then after that I start teching at the right spots unless I just get impatient. So you're just going to guess what's legit and what's not? Maybe they just missed their timing by a frame or two or maybe they're just exploiting your hesitation towards teching. Although the damage might be minor towards the end of the combo, they're still building a fair amount of meter with those extra hits and meter gain isn't affected by combo scaling. I suppose we just see things in a different light. I mash tech and learn when the opponent will attempt a "reset" as opposed to giving them extra meter for free. I guess I just have to be extremely careful as to not overshoot the A mash, it just happened once yesterday since I hadn't played CSE in ages. Oh well, I guess that won't be an issue in CP lol.
