Tokkan Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 As far as I recall, the previous version only had DLC because they couldn't finish the three characters in time for the actual release and didn't want to push it back. Guessing at DLC right now is a bit silly. Hey man, I'm just trying to ease his worries. Last thing this thread needs is complaining over certain characters not being playable.
SolxBaiken Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Izayoi builds up meter by doing moves in normal mode, and then she can switch to her other mode, which then consumes the meter. I think it was the normal mode is long range, and the special mode is about quick moves with lots of movement... Sounds funky, so I guess she'll play sorta like Aegis where she's carefully managing her time in between both modes, but instead of preventing Gain Arte mode from overheating she's allowing it to build up. Hey man, I'm just trying to ease his worries. Last thing this thread needs is complaining over certain characters not being playable. give me Linhua, Mori you fucker!
TekkamanArk Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Mori's always had that mecha masume fetish. I'm sorry, I can't see the picture for some reason also why jubei he would be the kliff of BB Why Jubei? Because he's an established character with proven combat ability, a reason to get involved in the fight (Phantom alone being a key one), and the only living member of the Six Heroes not to be playable. Since this concludes the Six Heroes storyline, he should get his time to shine before becoming irrelevant. As for him being the Kliff of BB, I suppose from a canon aspect, sure. But canon power =/= ingame power. Everyone is free to their opinion though.
Calamitus Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 I guess we will receive Mu vs Izayoi theme as bonus.
Kyosuke Kagami Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 no i mean it literally cant imagine jubei being broken tier, like pre acr kliff
Juunee Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 The more characters I want to play the more I feel compelled to playing only Nu. I do wonder what that new "face lift" move Nu has does though. My first guess would be it switches the properties of moves between Nu/Lambda, but that seems strange given that the wheel is the only really significant property change I can remember. Oh well, I'm hype for CP without question and the return of the eye-patch-wearing-S-tier-yandere-waifu sword goddess will be sure to refill my bath tub labeled "Tager tears"
Moy_X7 Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 I'm guessing that Jubei will be playable down the road in CP, just like Makoto, Valk, and Plat were playable mid-CS (by CS, I mean the whole BB2 span). The again, we're not allowed to "guess" or "predict" in this thread, so instead we'll have to discuss that which we already know. Edit: I was waiting for a character like "Izayoi". Beat the crap out of your opponent with certain attack and you'll be rewarded with SUPER MODE.
Orihalcon Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Since this concludes the Six Heroes storyline, he should get his time to shine before becoming irrelevant. Hold up. The Six Heroes arc will be ending, yes. This doesn't mean Jubei will suddenly be irrelevant, nor does it mean the other Six Heroes will be either. Focus on them will just shift to something else, but they're still key players in the storyline, especially considering four of the six are currently playable. Jubei will still have his moments to shine even if he never is playable past CP.
Mumm-Ra Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 By condluding someone's storyline it means they become irrelevant, haven't you ever read manga/watch animeys?
Calamitus Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Nah, whole plot is about battle between Rachel's puppet Mu and Imperator's puppet Izayoi. Sector 7 and 6 heroes are just side stories for that.
TekkamanArk Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Well, there are obviously larger issues than Jubei's omission, such as the possibility of the 360 players being completely SOL, as the only console release confirmed right now is the PS3 version. Being able to play at all is a far larger issue than whether one character is added or not. Another possible issue is how the story will hold together with this new approach, as it will lose some of the minutia that makes the other stories hold together previously.
Orihalcon Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 By condluding someone's storyline it means they become irrelevant, haven't you ever read manga/watch animeys? That only applies to one-shot villains and filler characters. Haven't you ever read/watched anything? Well, there are obviously larger issues than Jubei's omission, such as the possibility of the 360 players being completely SOL, as the only console release confirmed right now is the PS3 version. Being able to play at all is a far larger issue than whether one character is added or not. Another possible issue is how the story will hold together with this new approach, as it will lose some of the minutia that makes the other stories hold together previously. Likely the story will be a bit more streamlined and cohesive, and much easier to wrap one's head around than trying to connect all the dots.
Mumm-Ra Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Name one central character that is still relevant after his/her story is concluded.
Zuranamee Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Name one central character that is still relevant after his/her story is concluded. Vegita.
Prototype909 Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Try to stay on topic people. This isn't the anime plot discussion thread.
Mumm-Ra Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 On topic I think that this real form thing is getting out of hand and I expect a real form Makoto in the next game to complete the highschool trio of real forms. Vegita. Vegita was irrelevant as all fuck.
Orihalcon Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Name one central character that is still relevant after his/her story is concluded. I'd get infracted for going too far off-topic by filling the thread up with nearly every character from anything. That being said: Vegita was irrelevant as all fuck. I can't tell if you're trying too hard to troll, or you're just that much of a simpleton.
GEKKA Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 On topic I think that this real form thing is getting out of hand and I expect a real form Makoto in the next game to complete the highschool trio of real forms. Vegita was irrelevant as all fuck. Inb4 real form Carl, Ada becomes his armor. Or better yet Ada eats Carl because he's annoying lol On topic sorta.. Does anyone know if that article mentions izayoi being sankishin? Her armor kinda reminds me of that picture of that giant hourglass and the Susano'o unit. Also does it mention her drive name? VEGETA IS THE PRINCE OF ALL SAIYANS AND WILL ALWAYS BE RELEVANT TO DRAGONBALLZ lol
Fujiwara Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Vegita was irrelevant as all fuck. Vegeta* And....whut? Anime plot aside.... Who do you guys think will benefit most from spending burst on OD so far?
Orihalcon Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Inb4 real form Carl, Ada becomes his armor. Or better yet Ada eats Carl because he's annoying lol On topic sorta.. Izayoi is an Armagus Weapon, not a Sankishin. There are only three Sankishin like the name implies: Tsukuyomi, Susanoo, and Amaterasu.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 I see what you did there Mori... Thought I was the only person who picked up on that. Jubei will be DLC, probably. If not, he'll be in the next revision of CP. Either way, he'll eventually be playable in CP for sure. As you said, CP concludes the Six Heroes plotline; the best place to add Jubei as a playable is here. The Kokonoe and Saya thing is an old rumour from an old interview which had already been discussed here months ago; I would not give it too much credit. But I digress, I'm pretty sure this kind of discussion isn't exactly allowed in this thread. Due to the fact taht he's in Tao's Astral, unless they've chanegd her Astral, I doubt he'll be playable. Izayoi builds up meter by doing moves in normal mode, and then she can switch to her other mode, which then consumes the meter. I think it was the normal mode is long range, and the special mode is about quick moves with lots of movement... So i guess the hakumen-like meter above her heat meter isn't just for show? SOunds liek she'll have similar mechanics to Hakumen. Edit: I was waiting for a character like "Izayoi". Beat the crap out of your opponent with certain attack and you'll be rewarded with SUPER MODE. In a sense, kinda like Hakumen. Nice tits. Nice catch, also your posts consistently make me laugh. I wanna know how Quiet-Wrath, Level 5-Chan, and other Tsubaki mains feel about Izayoi, are they happy, are they sad, are they changing, or are they dead set stuck on their wannabe wannabe Order Sol character. Also is it just me or does "Izayoi" have a full fledge beam super? it's about fucking time if that's the case, this game is missing beam supers. She looks really cool though. I feel like I'm looking forward to everything in this game EXCEPT Hakumen, outside of his pending story/arcade modes :/
Kyosuke Kagami Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Vegeta* And....whut? Anime plot aside.... Who do you guys think will benefit most from spending burst on OD so far? First obvious choice would be Ragnya. I am having trouble imagining how Valky would take advantage of OD.
suna19 Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 with Miracle Jeanne missiles and bombs, Platinum's OD is really good
Orihalcon Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Due to the fact taht he's in Tao's Astral, unless they've chanegd her Astral, I doubt he'll be playable. There was a similar case back awhile ago when Melty Blood: Actress Again first came out. One of the new playable characters, Riesbyfe Stridberg, previously appeared in another character's Last Arc (read: Astral except not instakill) before being playable. They remedied this by simply changing the previous character's Astral to be something brand new that didn't include her. I personally don't think we'll see Jubei as playable, but if they did, it's not a stretch for them to change Tao's Astral. I wanna know how Quiet-Wrath, Level 5-Chan, and other Tsubaki mains feel about Izayoi, are they happy, are they sad, are they changing, or are they dead set stuck on their wannabe wannabe Order Sol character. From a purely gameplay standpoint, Izayoi (so far) isn't Tsubaki at all. So it really shouldn't change any of the Tsubaki mains.
