Mumm-Ra Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Just add Phantom and Jubei so we can get all the six heroes and Blazblue can end for all I care.
Fusionist Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Might as well ask for Linhua while we're at it. Let's at least enjoy Amane, Azrael, Bullet and Izayoi and let ArcSys pleasantly surprise us whenever they feel like it.
Ctrlaltwtf Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 (edited) The new Hazama is just so badass, can't wait to get my hands on the game. Jakatsu just makes everything so much cooler. And Haku-men's CT looks badass as well. Why isn't the game out on console yet 8( /hype I am curious though, what is the point of Devouring Fang now? It seems to have been dethroned by Rising Fang as your go-to combo starter. I have yet to see it used much. Edited December 4, 2012 by Ctrlaltwtf
abadlime Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 I really don't see a difference tbh. Then again, i haven't been paying much attention to him.
Ctrlaltwtf Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 (edited) I really don't see a difference tbh. Then again, i haven't been paying much attention to him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGfNuMKzwIE there's a lot of Hazama in this vid around 1:50 (that's 1 hour 50 minutes) You should see plenty of differences. There's this REALLY badass part where Hazama goes into Serpent's Benediction, but Haku-Men jumps behind him. Hazama Jakatsu's backwards and Rising Fangs him (1:56:13). Looks so much cooler in the video than it sounds in text lol. It's hard to see, but there's a part where Hazama scores a 3C Counter and follows it up with Devouring Fang. But unlike CSE, the 3C has no vacuum but Hazama can now do Serpent's Benediction -> Jakatasu forward -> Devouring Fang. I just think it's way more interesting to play/watch. abadlime Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 totally misread that. I thought mid combo. They call for different situations though. I'll probably use devouring fang as usual just as i see Mitsurugi still use it.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 The new Hazama is just so badass, can't wait to get my hands on the game. Jakatsu just makes everything so much cooler. Jakatsu is the command snaky swag movements correct? if so then yes, it looks awesome. And Haku-men's CT looks badass as well. I freaking love his CT, takes off his scabbard and pistol whips you with it, and says your defenses are weak. I am curious though, what is the point of Devouring Fang now? It seems to have been dethroned by Rising Fang as your go-to combo starter. I have yet to see it used much. I don't remember the english names to his attacks but I believe you're referring to his overhead. And it's still an overhead, that can be combo off of big characters like Hakumen. But yes gashokayku is very strong in this version of the game since you can combo off of it with or without CH. But it looks like his damage lies in using the snake movement to combo his stance moves together.
AchedSphinx Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 well lol awesome He had a lot of OD time though. Is it only doable if you're at low health and able to use OD for the most amount of time? Otherwise it's 3 seconds. So there's another limit on it. At least I can still use Tsubaki :3 When they start reacting to Hop Tsubaki, you start doing hop Renka. LOOL Haven't had a chance to ever have anyone make me do that though. I'm not sure health even matters. I mean, the combo did 9k damage, you're still guaranteed at least 6k damage or so with a decent amount of OD. It seems like it could be a useful thing to have on a final round, provided they're near the corner.
mundus Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 How can you tell how much time is left during OD? Its not really relevant, considering time stops during OD.
Moy_X7 Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Yes. If you do something that activates the catch but are recovered by the time the attack comes out (by canceling or using a low recovery move), you can block any counter except Yukikaze. That's just terrible, I really feel for you Hakumangs. I'm assuming that you guys are still invulnerable during the entire animation at the very least, right?

My goodness, no. 1)Her playstyle will look ridiculous 2)Scary to think that she will kick Azrael and Imperator asses 3)This game will be rated "Mature" cause she will appear eventually in Relius dungeon of pleasures as any other female The new Hazama is just so badass, can't wait to get my hands on the game. Jakatsu just makes everything so much cooler. You should go to http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?14996-Blazblue-Chrono-Phantasma-Hazama-Changelog thread - there is weeping about every single change he earned in CP.
ElegantShadow Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=xANcN1Z7Eh4#t=264s Um... could someone explain what just happened there?
abadlime Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Believe she has projectile invuln. during that DD.
ElegantShadow Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Believe she has projectile invuln. during that DD. Oh, I thought it was a bug or something since I didn't see anything in the Tsubaki CP forum about that move being Projectile Invulnerable.
abadlime Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 It was barely mentioned before, but by going on what we have seen, it's only projectile invuln. and nothing else since supposedly she's been hit out of the DD.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 That's just terrible, I really feel for you Hakumangs. I'm assuming that you guys are still invulnerable during the entire animation at the very least, right? Glad to see someone understands, but they gave use an actually useful powerup after 4 games I'll never get over the death of 6d though, I see so many free overheads. Yes he's still invincible during his activated counter animation, he just may not catch you if you can negate your recovery.

Rising Fang is his "DP" the upward kick (it used to be improperly called Falling Fang iirc). Falling Fang is the leap forward overhead.
Isuna Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 SHOUryuuken ⇒ gaSHOUkyaku That's just terrible, I really feel for you Hakumangs. (〇Д〇)
Ctrlaltwtf Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 (edited) I will never not be able to hear the new hit noises as this: As far as general combo revising goes, I really feel CP is a LOT more enjoyable to watch. BB is a bit notorious for tedious, drawn-out combos that take way too fucking long (LITCHI....). They seem to have made a real effort to reduce this in CP (Jin's new Sekkajin is a perfect example) without removing "balls to the wall here we go 100 heat 30 bazillion damage" combos. I DO like super long, drawn-out combos so long as they are only available in the right circumstances. This is what Fatal Counters are for and I believe that's the entire reason they put them in BB in the first place. EDIT: Just saw Ragna's new Dead Spike. Looks way cooler now, even though I don't think much actually changes about the hitboxes (no solid facts for that, just speculation) Edited December 4, 2012 by Ctrlaltwtf
abadlime Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Azrael has 7 arcade stages instead of 8 plus there is last free place in this characters list http://blazblue.jp/cp/chara.html. Somethink tells me that they will add Kokonoe even before console release will come (though best variant is Jubei cause everybody forgot about his existence already) Wait wait, doesn't azrael have all 8 stages? Correct me if i'm wrong, but i thought he had the following: 3rd: Valk 6th: Tager 7th: Jin 8th: Ragna
Jackie Chandler Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Azrael has 7 arcade stages instead of 8 plus there is last free place in this characters list http://blazblue.jp/cp/chara.html. Somethink tells me that they will add Kokonoe even before console release will come (though best variant is Jubei cause everybody forgot about his existence already) In trying to edit the URL to see if I could find any hidden pages, I noticed something potentially interesting. Trying to put Izayoi in after the "chara_" part of the URL leads to a blank page- NOT the "The requested URL could not be found" message you get when trying other things: http://blazblue.jp/cp/chara_izayoi.html . So if the URL for a last character is already taken, we should (hypothetically) be able to find out who/what it is by plugging things in and searching for that other blank page. I've already tried jubei, kokonoe, nine, 9, and every butchered form of celica I could think of.
