abadlime Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Great find Jackie. We just need a list of characters we can test with. It should be noted that mu and nu are "myu" and "nyu" respectively.
Calamitus Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Wait wait, doesn't azrael have all 8 stages? Correct me if i'm wrong, but i thought he had the following: 3rd: Valk 6th: Tager 7th: Jin 8th: Ragna I saw such information in story mode thread around 21-23 november. They say that ragna was 7th. Maybe that was mistake. In trying to edit the URL to see if I could find any hidden pages, I noticed something potentially interesting. Trying to put Izayoi in after the "chara_" part of the URL leads to a blank page- NOT the "The requested URL could not be found" message you get when trying other things: http://blazblue.jp/cp/chara_izayoi.html . So if the URL for a last character is already taken, we should (hypothetically) be able to find out who/what it is by plugging things in and searching for that other blank page. I've already tried jubei, kokonoe, nine, 9, and every butchered form of celica I could think of. Thats interesting. I tried 20-30 names to use but there is still no evidence. I guess we should try after Izayoi release, its possible that arcs will make such mistake
Tokkan Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 (edited) I saw such information in story mode thread around 21-23 november. They say that ragna was 7th. Maybe that was mistake. I posted that info. It was a mistake but not on my part, the post in the jBBS thread listed the numbers as being 3,5,6,7 and not 3,6,7,8 as it should have been. I made a later post pointing this out as I had saw a stream of Azrael arcade mode then. Also, don't count on there being a new character after Izayoi; at least not until on or after the console release. Edited December 4, 2012 by Tokkan
Star-Demon Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Waaa litchicombos too long. (two years ago) Speaking of Litchi, my Hype is restored. In a few months someone like Shounen or Chaoto are going to come out with some great shit and it's just going to work. Litchi has some serious new tools, even though The RuleBook is changing again.
Mumm-Ra Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 I've already tried jubei, kokonoe, nine, 9, and every butchered form of celica I could think of. Try Tenjo's son Redirects to Amane
mAc Chaos Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Its not really relevant, considering time stops during OD. I was talking about how much OD time you have left once you activate it since there's no clear bar or anything. I see now that the burst icon kind of shows it. For Haku's combo I meant you might not have enough OD time to do most of the damage, since if you start OD at the start of the round OD lasts like 3 seconds. So it would have to be later into the match where you are lower on health, which means it narrows the part of the match that it can be used. Depends how much OD time you need though.
Moy_X7 Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Let's take a look at that combo again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=RGfNuMKzwIE#t=7507s You could probably pull that combo off with a little less than half of your health bar. You just need the OD to last to the point where you get the 4th star for the second Shippu. The Haku in that video still had quite a bit of OD meter left by the time he ended his combo and killed Hazama lol. With at least 5 Stars + OD for the Tsubaki > Hotaru starter, you'll probably be able to get a little over 7K.

I'm sure something like AA 5A > j.B > j.2A > j.C > 5C > OD > Stuff would work. Or Renka > IAD > j.B > j.A > 5C > OD > Stuff. Hakumen's got a lot of potential with his OD.

mAc Chaos Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 I kind of hope that doesn't become all you do with him. anything > OD > 9k gg
YukiBlue Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 I think this sets an almighty precedent for not moaning and bitching about your character until after release. I'm included here. Also. Hakumanz combo looks legit as hell. Instant overhead into unburstable 9K legit as FuucKz xXxxX
mAc Chaos Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Well, all we had to look at was 3 pages of nerfs. It wasn't like he's some sort of complex character like Arakune where there's always more things to figure out later once you start chaining together all sorts of bugs. But yeah. We got lucky because of all the system changes.
Moy_X7 Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 I kind of hope that doesn't become all you do with him. anything > OD > 9k gg Reversal Hotaru > OD > 9K is going to be so hilariously retarded.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 It won't be as viable as you assume it is.
Boodendorf Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Whoa that OD Hakumen combo is pretty damn good. I've been thinking about the console release, I wonder if they're going to release it on the Wii U too or not, are there fighting games on the wii u already? I don't think so.
A.X.I.S. Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 It won't be as viable as you assume it is. near corner. Low health. OD to make make it unburstable and smoke weed. Situational but so fucking hilarious...until you are the one getting hit by it. HakumenSaltGenerator2013
Kyosuke Kagami Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 I miss old CS1 / CS2 middle tier Hakumen He was just too fun to play and dealt great damage but not being... like this.
mAc Chaos Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Most of his other combos are just 2k love taps unless you want to empty your bar for like 5k.
Moy_X7 Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 His health doesn't even have to be that low from what we've seen in that video. He'll pull that shit off with just slightly below half of his health. The real issue is having an adequate amount of stars. Probably something like 5+ stars for the real big damage. Not every starter will lead to 9K but goddamn will they come close to it lol.

Situational but so fucking hilarious...until you are the one getting hit by it. HakumenSaltGenerator2013 We'll definitely see crazy combos but not as often as one would think, that's all. I miss old CS1 / CS2 middle tier Hakumen He was just too fun to play and dealt great damage but not being... like this. What? No.
TITANIUM BEAST!!! Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Just goes to show that people haven't really tapped OD yet. I personally really like what it does for Hakumen. It's pretty versatile in that you can use it mid combo (as shown in video) or you can use it at the start of a match to get an early boost of meter (Tsubaki can also do this for free charge at round start), or (for the truly gimmicky and hilarious) use it during Mugen to prevent the meter from draining and get basically free supers. IIRC, CS1 Hakumen wasn't really mid tier. More of high mid.
mAc Chaos Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Yeah, I like it in that sense because Haku always had Mugen as his super power up move and it was always useless. This feels more like a real Mugen if it was actually useful. Haku was A in CS1, D in CT and B in CS2.
Sophisticat Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Mugen was at its best in CS1. It had the longest duration and dmg/mixup potential. I have a feeling Haku is going to be broken in CP. A lot of his moves got buffed P1 to 100, so many starters are now viable for big damage like in that vid. His increased meter gain also makes 5 stars in the bank more likely. That combo wasn't even finished, btw. It looks like it could still have done a bit more. Just saying that combo didn't look all that unlikely to happen in a match.
Lord Pwnge18 Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Guys, guys, we're clearly forgetting about the star of the show and her appearance today
