He does need to have over 5 stars, low health, and a Burst to pull that one off as well as being relatively close to the corner. Seems fair to me.

@Rishtopher - He does but this one is probably going to be slightly more practical if only because landing TK/hop Tsubaki > Hotaru with 5 stars, low health, and a Burst won't be that farfetched as landing 6D > 8-Star Mugen. Not many people can react to TK/hop Tsubaki on time lol.

Doesn't he have a near 10K combo in every game though?

It was off a TK Tsubaki, so this one is a little bit special than the previous ones because it's fairly practical, considering most people get hit by it. I think it's 15F start up + jump start-up, fairly fast imo.

He did it with 8 stars, in the corner, off a naked special hit, and with OD. Still awesome though.

Says the guy who relies on that move more than any Hakumen I know! Suffice it to say, every Hakumen plays like mAc to me.

I really, REALLY, love the OD system. Dat comeback potential.

Edit: Naked special? This is TK/hop Tsubaki, people can't react to that thing lol.

Never know man. Sometimes when you're really really really in the zone, you can react to it. Happens to me every 1000 games or so. Good odds imo.

He had a lot of OD time though. Is it only doable if you're at low health and able to use OD for the most amount of time? Otherwise it's 3 seconds. So there's another limit on it.

At least I can still use Tsubaki :3

When they start reacting to Hop Tsubaki, you start doing hop Renka. LOOL Haven't had a chance to ever have anyone make me do that though.

But the worst part of that match-up is gone now, so that's something. That combo must have been so hype if you were in the arcade.

If they burst it, you still got them to waste a burst and you get tons of meter. That's pretty nice to me as well.

Actually, the only burst point in that combo is between the Hotaru and air dash OD since bursting at Tsubaki where Hakumen now have to mash on the Hotaru will whiff the burst with Hotaru's i-frames and can punish you easily after that and after the OD, you can't burst at all.

Oh you mean the blockable counters? That's a pretty huge plus, to be sure. I heard that Ada takes way more damage now though, so I'll have to be a bit more careful.

wait is his driv only blockable via catching projectiles? or is it press A and hold back? otherwie it seems a bit inconsequential to me. you hit the drive, e get a star we are invincible the whole way through. only difference is if o want to risk hitting more buttons, someones going to make the right choice either way its going to hurt badly.

Yes. If you do something that activates the catch but are recovered by the time the attack comes out (by canceling or using a low recovery move), you can block any counter except Yukikaze.

Well, in Carl's case if Nirvana activates the counters he's not as fucked anymore because he can block it and go for more mixup.

He does indeed, but the problem with this is that he uses overdrive, which means your opponent cant burst. Mugen combos, has always been lethal, but way less practical (cant really start from a hotaro) and burstable so.

Azrael has 7 arcade stages instead of 8 plus there is last free place in this characters list http://blazblue.jp/cp/chara.html. Somethink tells me that they will add Kokonoe even before console release will come (though best variant is Jubei cause everybody forgot about his existence already)
