Yeah, do you just have a longer superflash proportionate to more inputs available at lower health(longer OD time), or or do you constantly hit D and a direction to command it after the superflash like some sort of puppet character, or what? If you're staffless, can you not overdrive at all, or does it cancel whatever staff-flight is going on and starts daisharin anyway? KayEff Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 looking back on the loketest videos, i don't think OD being unburstable is true. during the ODs that happen, the OD icon doesn't seem to have a red X over it, so the rumor may just turn out to be wrong after all. i do notice that you cannot burst during a guard crush, so maybe it was referring to that instead?

I don't hate Noel gameplay or character-wise tbh. Not sure why exactly. Usually don't care for her archetype, but her particular sad-sap act is strangely appealing. Like how it functions specifically, if anyone happens to know already? If you wait, then use it, will it store the charge? What are the limits on how many dashes he can do? Is there more recovery than a normal dash if he doesn't follow-up with an attack?...There isn't a back-dash version...is there? ...Also, out of curiosity, what exactly does the initial hit on his new distortion drive look like? I remember reading somewhere way back in this topic that it had crazy short range and the damage isn't great? Is it fast, or is it more of a flashy combo-ender thing like his other super?

You don't have to wait for a charge if you're going for a command dash; after every dash all of the followups will be lvl2. There IS a backdash. That's all we know I guess
zeth07 Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 (edited) Not being able to burst would be too bullshit Specially if we talk about Arakune Arakune is a bad example since bursting against him while cursed or about to get cursed is an almost guaranteed Danger + Guard Crush since his shit takes up practically the whole screen and you can't really "escape". It's hardly ever worth it in my experience unless you can beat him before the curse anyway. Or you're Tager and have primers to spare. But that was Extend, with primers. Bang FRKZ and Ragna Blood Kain would be better examples. If they touch you, you're dead. If you can burst they are now going to have a hard time. Not being able to burst THEM, would be a big deal. Technically baiting a burst now would be the ultimate call out considering the circumstances of it.

Well, the very first pic shows Rachel using Overdrive and Valkenhayn's Burst is still available to use from the looks of it. I can't imagine it locking it out through inputs alone and not visibly showing you can't burst like it does in other places. So I guess that's that.
