BladeOfJustice7 Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Ragna wait no what the fuck does he wear I thought you went to bed dickface >_> Anyways, thanks for the scans emma maybe it only locks out once you get hit? That sounds slightly fair.
Valthazeryus Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Uh... not sure if anyone's interested, but I was trying to figure out what magazines those scans were from when I found these from the October issue of Arcadia: http://i.imgur.com/MyWAI.jpg http://i.imgur.com/wDeGA.jpg http://i.imgur.com/EVqEh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/kfhed.jpg http://i.imgur.com/zlv24.jpg The search continues. Were the magazine scans posted a while back related to October's issue of Arcadia?
Emma Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Were the magazine scans posted a while back related to October's issue of Arcadia? No. I had thought they were, which was why I got it in the first place... but nope. That was the only page that contained BlazBlue-related stuff, haha.
Mumm-Ra Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 maybe it only locks out once you get hit? I think the same. I read that "BK combos are now satisfying since the opponent can't burst during OD", so that might be it.
SoWL Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I'm still confused about this whole "OD locks Burst" talk, since the Mori interview says that they're supposed to counter each other. And no one has checked my translations in case it's my mistake
zeth07 Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 maybe it only locks out once you get hit? That makes sense then. It's still up since Valkenhayn could use Overdrive himself obviously so it explains that part of it. I was under the initial impression that once the opponent used it you couldn't burst at all for that time, but glad that's wrong and it makes sense that it is. Unburstable FRKZ combos sounds nice right about now.
Afro-Demon Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I think the reason it still looks available to use is because he can still use his OD even if he can't burst. In order to confirm it we need to find someone getting comboed by an OD player. Edit:ninja'd
Valthazeryus Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I don't remember anything about OD disabling opponent's bursts for the duration, but this sounds reasonable. Does it effect opponent going OD then as well? Many things require testing.
Afro-Demon Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I know we can have an OD activate with another OD already going. saw it in one of the loketest videos.
Narroo Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Wait, I thought that it was "You can't burst if you're the one doing OD." Not being to burst out of someone else's OD would be silly.
Tong Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Wait, I thought that it was "You can't burst if you're the one doing OD." Not being to burst out of someone else's OD would be silly. Yeah, it just negates the downside of sacrificing your Burst for comeback+damage.
Nemesis Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I was under the impression they altered every characters standing sprite in some way -- watching these loketest vids im not seeing any changes to how jin stands around or w/e I can see -- or do I just not understand the tiny differences yet?
Hecatom Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 It was a mistranslation Only Noel had her sprite and stance changed
Surf Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Ragna also got a slight resign to his outfit. If you watch the loktest vids he still has his old sprite, but when he does new attacks like the scythe, the redesigned additions show. Maybe in the final build his stance will be different as well. Mori said something about his sprite being changed the most, other than Noel
HumblePinecone Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 http://i.imgur.com/kfhed.jpg Dat OD activation sprite.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I was wondering if I was the only person who noticed it. Also Azrael attacking Valkenhayn and Hakumen isn't a coincidence I'm certain of it. Can't wait to see, my guess is that the 6 Heroes give Azrael hard ons just as they do to Tager.
YukiBlue Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I predict Azreal will have connection with Valk. They just seem to mesh so well from my perspective.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I feel that he'll be connected to the 6 Heroes due to their strength and his love of fighting strong opponents. Hakumen and Azrael will have beef because he "works" for Sector 7. So there will be beef between Azrael and Hakumen. Valkenhayn will beef with Azrael due to him not being classy. Hazama will manipulate him into working for him, since he's a villain by my books lol.
mAc Chaos Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 If he works for Sector Seven then Kokonoe will have him hunting down Hakumen for her.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 For sure, can't wait to hear all the mean hurtful things he has to say to Azrael :3
Tokkan Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I know Azrael works for Sector Seven, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't work for Kokonoe.
YukiBlue Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I wonder how strong Azreal is Canonically. His Astral does like awe inspiring, and he seems like a bit of a mean bastard. I don't think I'd dot him with Hakumen though, from what I've seen to far Hakumen is just too boss.

He looks to be just under if not about as strong as the 6 Heroes, they've made it pretty clear that Ragna is slightly above the 6 Heroes with how the story has fleshed out. The very fact he has super human strength says a lot about him, along with his Astral. And I'll assume "dot" was meant to be "put".
