Kurushii Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 "Aksys Games has confirmed at E3 that BlazBlue Chronophantasma will be released in the US next year." http://www.destructoid.com/blazblue-chronophantasma-to-be-localized-in-2014-255997.phtml
Afrikaan Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Now the question is when in 2014? Hopefully it's Q1 or early Q2.
Kyosuke Kagami Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Good thing i decided to preorder the jp version
RifleAvenger Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 [No X-Box Release] Welp, looks like microsoft missed their last chance to get some money out of me before I dump them. Sucks though, it's so late in the PS3's lifespan, and I heard that PS4 isn't backwards compatible? I also don't like the PS controller for fighters. Maybe it's time to get a stick...
BlackYakuzu94 Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Man, the possible, unfortunate implications of this does not spell good news for 360 players. I'm a firm supporter of multi-platform titles and believe that if companies can make the game on more than one console in a given generation then they should do it with gusto. Though if this is true, the decision to no longer have Blazblue on the 360 is a little odd to me. In Japan I guess it makes sense since the 360 did really bad in terms of sales, but in the West? Yea, I feel for the Xbox players right now. That's a lot of players lost even if Playstation has more. Hopefully it comes out around the same time Extend did.
Volt Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 About the "trailer": They should've used the first trailer... About the questions: Will there be a port for PS4? - Is Jubei and etc going to be playable?
Afrikaan Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Damn that puts me in a tight spot then. No 360 release and PS4 not being backwards compatible means I'd have to have an actual PS3 to play CP, when I only have a Wii U and 360 atm. There is no way in hell I'm just gonna buy a PS3 for BBCP, maybe CP's revision gets a disc release on PS4?
Tecta1Eastside Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Time to convert into a PSN Netplayer for BBCP.
mAc Chaos Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 So I'd have to get a PS3, right before PS4 and XBDone come out.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 So I'd have to get a PS3, right before PS4 and XBDone come out. That's what my friend did. It is kind of a dick move tho.
psycofang2 Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 why is everyone worrying about the ps4 when it wont even have a large library of games?
Kyosuke Kagami Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 So I'd have to get a PS3, right before PS4 and XBDone come out. Well, you can always hope that BBCP is one of those BC games on ps4 (using that stream thing)
Tecta1Eastside Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 So I'd have to get a PS3, right before PS4 and XBDone come out. Yep or we could wait for the NA release in 2014. The good thing about it, is everyone will be on one system vs the community split between two consoles.
HoudiniJr100 Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 That's what my friend did. It is kind of a dick move tho. trust me...it's a dick move on MICROSOFT's part rather than aksys. to quote past me. I'm gonna go to microsoft, steal one of their assault rifles, go to aksys, yell for a bit, steal ragna's hair, go back to microsoft, and then let out all my rage on them. (yeah I am THAT pissed off about this)
kosmos badgirl Posted June 11, 2013 Author Posted June 11, 2013 Let's hope they don't lock the Japanese version like Atlus did with P4A.
Mucky Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 So I'd have to get a PS3, right before PS4 and XBDone come out. On the bright side, PS3s will probably drop in price after the PS4 comes out. Assuming they haven't been dropping already.
RifleAvenger Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Let's hope they don't lock the Japanese version like Atlus did with P4A. Probably won't, considering the reason they did it with P4A was the NA release being 2 weeks after the JP one. There's much less fear of reverse importation when the NA release is going to be 3+ months away.
Zazz Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 I'm still kinda disappointed. I guess I'll just have to look up a story mode playthrough on youtube or hope there will be a PC version. Well, you can always hope that BBCP is one of those BC games on ps4 (using that stream thing) how well would a streamed fighting game work?
Kyosuke Kagami Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 I'm still kinda disappointed. I guess I'll just have to look up a story mode playthrough on youtube or hope there will be a PC version. how well would a streamed fighting game work? No idea, ask sony
Akifukete Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Guys, Aksys just confirmed that there's going to be 2 DLC characters. Heh, wonder if Mori is going to get them for this?
SolxBaiken Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Well, you can always hope that BBCP is one of those BC games on ps4 (using that stream thing) Gakai is just literal streaming, so unlike their current method of placing older titles on the network [reprogramming old assets to work with new architecture] they can pump out numerous and more frequent updates to the virtual library. Also because it's streaming this also means more free space on your HDD since you won't have to download and keep large amount of data! But come on guys, Arc loves their ports! CP+#/R Extend for Vita and PS4 in 2014
stickystaines Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 trust me...it's a dick move on MICROSOFT's part rather than aksys. to quote past me. (yeah I am THAT pissed off about this) Don't see why its MS's fault in this case. Might just be the fact ArcSys felt no point in porting the game for Japan and that just merely carried over to the rest of the world.
