Shoto Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 I will view it more as a cancel for safety when u accidentally do Rashousen. Personally, I have experiences like that when I want to do 6HS after blocking for some time. Rashousen comes out even when I dash in a bit before doing 6HS. This may be a bonus, but don't underestimate the feint. A player just can't sit down and wait if he spots the Rashousen, but jumping at you isn't an option anymore as if it was the feint he'll eat an Anti Air combo. Works as some sort of trap if you do the UB obvious and even makes your real UB setups safer. In some of the new vids I finally saw them come up with a follow up combo after the 6K connected. btw.: http://fikaru75.hp.infoseek.co.jp/ = first noteworthy batch of Axl vids^^ (yeah, Axl combos are pretty new and distance is still an issue so ignored messed up combos the gameplays quite good) for all those who think he's been overdone go and complain about the new TK Bomber as instant overhead which gives you plus frames^^ Therefore his 623P counter seems to have been nerfed harder than I realized at first glance and the FB follow up allows the opponent to burst out on reaction.

(But then again, he can feint alot of stuff) And yeah, when I saw that Axel can cancel his unblockable... I was like, "you GOT to be kidding me". I mean, he got one of the most nasty anti-air normal attacks cause of his long range. Not to mention now they're comboable.

muffa Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 the new guy sucks. i could barely hear anything from those vids. it's nice to see koichi in action. he's a true talent, not that kaqn is any worse. and why did they get rid of GD loop and gave tesu even a cheaper one. when players will master badlands we will see way too much it, especially of the throw. still, can't wait to see what shonen is gonna do with all this new stuff.

Edit: Yeah Pot's tension gain off his slide head combo is retardedly good. That shit will be scary if he ever gets you in a corner...or knocked down for that matter like in that match. It seems plausible to IB the OD and 1 frame jump away though.

Players that I can make out : bleed, buppa, faith, kazuki, ruu, mike First 8 vids are awesome, especially Buri (Ruu?) taking heads, then 9-12 we get, how should I put it, finest scrub play deluxe. Jam beasting around and just randomly spamming her FB or normal version, and winning ... BS! Highlight : Jam doing random charged dragon kick on pot, WHILE he is in a backdash, taking away 50% life, and pots end in the corner and knockdown! Right ..., people dont know how to block VS buppa attack, huh?! Pfff, BS! Post edit : Argh, wanted to put this in Discussions! sry. I didnt see anything scrubby during the 9-12 matches.

In the vid posting thread, the most recent post calls the Jam vids from mikado "scrub play". I would disagree 100% with this. It just looks that way because, guess what, AC Jam is a really really fucking stupid character. Awesome vids overall, a lot of big names!
