You'll notice the 2C is considered the first hit of the combo. It is nice that 2C can force a neutral tech from so far away though.

Yup, you can cancel faphop into fabhop! It's visually confusing, and I feel that it's currently underutilized by Amane players. Jump > Airdash x Fabhop x Fabhop gives him great mobility options.

While yes it does, it's only a good tool if your opponent proves he can react to a fabhop in the first place and do something about it. Havn't seen that much people do it yet lol. Also, that Amane can combo into his astral really has me excited :D

I'd try to find the video but Jourdal's channel gone so <__> - Do we know if the C normals have a hurtbox on them? like, if you throw out a 5C being max range and Ragna ID's the scarf, would Amane get hit? I've seen Bursts touch the scarf but Amane was unharmed, but I'm asking coz Axl's chains were the same way yet if someone hit the Chains they counted as part of his hitbox, I ate countless Johnny supers for throwing out stupid chain limbs from full-screen away. - Is there any footage that shows his D normals being projectiles? I thought it was only Hariken and 6D that are confirmed as projectiles.. - There's no j.4C IIRC, its only j.5C, j.6C and j.2C. - Is there any footage of Raibu being punished? I remember seeingsome matches where people would RC it on block and read a few posts saying its punishable but I dont think I've seen any footage of it being punished. The pushback on it seems pretty decent and he recovers relatively quickly so I'm curious.. I've seen Gosei get punished though - I thought his air C normals are only cancellable into fabhop? and you'd have to go j._C xx faphop xx Gosei to combo? at least thats the notation that was in the combo video posted a while back. Edit: nvm looks like thats just to get the proper spacing for the j.236C to combo ^_^;

There was some early footage of Amane vs. Azrael. Azrael's DP/stance allows him to absorb projectiles and he did on Amane 5D and it never hit.

I'm talking about Gekiren (623C), the document that derQ has mentions that its air unblockable. I was stating that I'm pretty sure that I've seen footage of it being air-blocked.

I've seen an opponent attempt to punish it but fail, so my guess is that it pushes Amane far enough back to make it very difficult to punish to the point where the opponent will have to react as quickly as possible with a fast move to do so. Of course this doesn't mean it's a good idea to throw it out at neutral at random anyway, since you're probably only gonna get away with it once.

I feel it's only because he gets shitted on by matchups like litchi/tao/valk where if you get hit once, you have to block for over 15 seconds. Combine that with the fact that nearly every move he has has big recovery. When Amane whiffs something, if the opponent can move with ease, it's a free punish. That alone makes your job harder and forces a mentality of "don't fuck up once". It's not that he's bad, it's that some matchups will be drastically difficult for him. A bit like potemkin, certain matchups have answers for the character's flaws and this makes matchups hard/impossible. But... Theory crafting lololol
