I just wanted to make a quick post about the 720 shortcut for those of you having problems with it. Instead of doing two full rotations, do one full rotation, a quarter rotation, and end at either 6 or 4 depending on which direction. For example, 214789632146a or 236987412364a. Made my 720's much more consistent. Thanks Haitian for telling me about it.

I play on a hitbox, it makes me feel like a cheater how easy it is to do the super grab. I feel it's redeemed on how hard it is to do miquelet capture.

jC safejump after 623B. There's a document somewhere of all the stuff it beat in 1.0, should still apply to most things. Mostly loses to counters and invulnerable grabs iirc.

Watching a lot of Uido's stuff and I've been wondering why he never seems to serpentine anyone. Is that just something he's not good at? Is it not viable in the higher levels of play?

Might just be a execution/ style thing. A zero frame high damage 720 is always gonna have a home. If you watch old Zero footage he goes for dash 720 plenty.

Also to note on the safe jump, you can OS with 623B for some of those. (I know you can do it if Jin wants to C or D DP but not B.) Nothing big but nice to throw in if you get the read or don't want them to risk starting their pressure if they have meter to RC.

I think C DP is full invul but the B version only has upper body.

I kind of find it pointless to make another thread devoted to a Skype group so I'll leave the offer in here. I made a group just now and if you're interested in sharing tech with us go ahead and drop your skype username in here or message me instead- sadeyo.amatsu

DL will still have its uses (Skype or Twitter can't do everything) but this is obviously for quicker communication, request matches, tech, and the etc. I may be retired but I still consider myself a strong contender. We can do mirrors and all of the fun stuff that's required, lets try not to extinguish this fire and make an underrated character quite the beast she is.

Haitian found that Kagura's 3c can be 2a 4ab os'd. Either it hits and 4ab becomes 5b for a combo or whiffs on kagura's overhead and 4ab barrier blocks it. Same input as the os to teach them to not wakeup late. Not really sure what's changing in the matchup threads, so just put it here.

So, I just found out that you can catch people that don't directly tech after Bullet's 623B... with 5A

Works on a lot of char (didn't work on Carl so far, haven't tested everyone), I find it quite interesting since you can OS a jump cancel on 5A (and not on 2A), allowing you to catch people once they tech in the air, useful when you no longer have enough proration to go for a 6B > j.C > j.D combo

With 5A? Hmm, usually it's done with 2A as you can do a OS to protect yourself against wakeup DP's. Do 2A > 4A+B, if 2A hits you confirm into 5B but if 2A whiffs (because of a DP) you go into barrier block instead of 5B.

Not the same situation / timing, and it's quite hard to nail this timing down ^^

I'm talking about picking up people that don't tech after the 623B, you are talking about doing a meaty on the opponent 

 

And in this case, there is no interest in using 5A instead of 2A, since 5A got 1 more recovery frame than 2A

I was positive I posted videos of me playing in the Xanadu tournament back in May....well anyway here you go. I know things have somewhat slowed down and with CEOtaku this weekend, guess it wouldn't hurt to put them up. (if you'd rather me post is in the video discussion thread let me know otherwise I'm just gonna let it rock here and people talk/watch/comment/whatever on it.)

Overall my biggest thing at the time was dropping combos or not converting them into big damage. (especially the last 2 matches where I dropped game winning combos that I still am at a loss at seeing they weren't huge to drop) Otherwise always willing to hear other's insight or see your point of view.
