Raptor Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Played CP at AX: Ugh at crouching hit stuff>3C>22C. Even in Japan, I still had this problem where they would tech before 22C hit them. I'm pretty sure this is just a matter of execution, and is remedied by practice. /endrant Anyways, do you guys have any thoughts to who is our best/worst match ups based on what you observed in videos? If you played the game, well thats cool too.
LunaKage Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Keep in mind 236A is +3 now, so if we create enough space we can cancel into that and be at a small advantage.
LunaKage Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Probably not, though I wouldn't be surprised if using the A moves created legit frame traps now. 5D > d.6A catches mash? Sign me up!
Litherain-XIII Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I doubt it. id say mostly yes after the first drive starter it should be relatively but between 5D > drives and 6D> drives those are gaps if I ever saw them. especially 5D > drives its noticeable but after that the rest looks more solid than in previous games
LunaKage Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I don't notice it like that, but honestly I have to feel something to notice it. Still though, it's better than before.
LunaKage Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 All I need is 1 frame. an average match between Luna and Mac: Luna: 2D > Recover > 2D > recover > 2D > recover Mac: WHAT AM I DOING WITH MY LIFE?!
Alpha152 Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I don't know if I mentioned this a while ago but 2D into d.5A in CP is gap-less. I think we tested some other slower attacks like d.5C etc. and they were also gap-less. Though other drive starters I'm unsure of.
LunaKage Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Well maybe it was a bad followup, but everytime I saw Noel 2D against Tao in a certain match vid, the Tao threw Noel for free.
LunaKage Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Played CP at AX: Ugh at crouching hit stuff>3C>22C. After looking over some videos I can honestly say that in my opinion Valk and Hazama will be our worst matchups.
LunaKage Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Is 6B into 5D gapless? No one ever punishes it. Nah, I've seen it punished. DP is an easy way to beat it, but we DO have options if it's blocked, so that may be the reason Noel gets away with it so much.
Chaoschao222 Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Congrats to Delta winning EVO and obtaining many pennies.
Demon Wind Bomb Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 I'm out of the loop. Which game did he win?

Moy_X7 Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 The Pot Bonus was the best part of the stream XD "How did he lift that over his head? That shit must weight at least 50 pounds" lololol
mMarikom Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 For those who got a chance to play at AX how does SJC jC jD feel? I keep telling myself that as simple as it is i'm going to end up accidentally tk revolver blasting a lot...
LunaKage Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Its not hard. You can practice it in Extend too by the way, but the j.D part isn't very consistent.
Litherain-XIII Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 well from experience I notice if you input 2369 while 5C is hitting your opponent around the same time instead of waiting for the hitstun of 5C to end to finally input the super jump it a lot easier. I think the 5C stun time allows you to advance input it ahead of time which should make the super jump come out without accidentally doing TK RB in the process. practice it and eventually you should see what I mean. or alternatively just input SJ but give it a slight pause before pressing j.C
00Bubbles00 Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 In Extend, you can practice on MF>5B>5C>SJC>jC>jD>.... it combos on most characters. If I remember correctly, other combos like 2B>6A>SJC>JC>opponent techs out before JD.
