Justice7541 Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Cute. Got nothing to do till BBCP comes out so frames is as good a way as any to kill time. Noel's 5A is foot-attribute? According to wiki Izayoi's 6C is body attribute invul so it's not just a matter of having a hitbox that hits crouching, the move would actually need to be foot attribute, like a low or something. Also if it beats Jayoku then lol.
Errol Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 according to the wiki, 6c is body attribute invul from frames 4 to 10, way way before it goes active.
skd Posted October 14, 2013 Author Posted October 14, 2013 (edited) uuuu slight correction, for 6C to go through houtenjin off of a cancel, it has to be much later, so the same rules apply to houtenjin as does phorizer! sorry. on a similar note, these are all based off of the mook numbers, but i think some of 5b's data is wrong so...take it with a grain of salt! (i am 100% sure that the CH Hitstun data is incorrect, so it could just be a case of that being an exception, though it may lead me to believe that 5B is a level 3 normal, or that 6C has 18f startup instead of 19. If its level 3...that changes things) Edited October 14, 2013 by not_lunaris
Justice7541 Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Aren't most A moves level 2? It'd be weird if 5B was also level 2.
skd Posted October 14, 2013 Author Posted October 14, 2013 Aren't most A moves level 2? It'd be weird if 5B was also level 2. almost every 5A/2A is level 1.
Errol Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 (edited) almost every 5A/2A is level 1. tsubaki's 5a/2a are level 0 :( we can figure out what is up with 5b when console hits. it should be simple enough by doing things like blocking and trying to punish with a 10 frame move, then a 9f move, then 8, etc. I would guess that it is just that the blockstun and hitstun are correct and the ch hitstun is wrong. tsubaki has some wrong data in EX that probably follows over to CP. CH 5b > charge cancel> 5c doesn't work, but CH 5c> charge cancel> 5c does work. there's like 3 or 4 frames difference in hitstun on CH only. but I think the blockstun and hitstun are identical. air untech time is also different IIRC. Errol Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 I forgot the hitstop addition on CH. This isn't in the framedata/mook for CP i believe. in the cp mook they include the hitstun bonus on counter hit, but they don't include the hitstop bonus on CH, for whatever reason. I think these values have not changed. Level 0 - 5 Hitstop (Counter Hit) +0 +0 +2 +3 +7 +10 so effective CH hitstun on 5b is 20 frames.
Justice7541 Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 I hope Spark Bolt is body attribute then cause I want to be able to 6C through it. I miss being able to Hazama 236C through Spark Bolt.
Tecta1Eastside Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Does 6B cause floorbounce on counter hit? Only when CH 6B happens on an airborne opponent. The opponent ground bounces vertically slightly.
onemic Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 What makes Izayoi a bad character? She looks real fun...
Appledash- Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 (edited) What makes Izayoi a bad character? She looks real fun... I'm not an expert, but from what I've seen she suffers from some problems built into her design. Izayoi isn't really able to do anything until she gets stocks, and until then she's rather underwhelming. She can do some really cool stuff once she gets resources, but until then she has to give up a lot of momentum to get stocks (most of her combos in normal mode put the opponent into the air and resets the game to neutral instead of giving her oki). Compared to say, Hakumen, another character who relies on gaining resources for better moves, but haku's resources just fill up on it's own, whereas Izayoi has struggle for hers. Most other characters don't rely as heavily on gaining resources either. Also she has poor defense even though her offense isn't that scary and her normals are a little weird I guess. And of course best to take this with a grain of salt since I haven't been able to play CP yet Edited October 20, 2013 by Appledash-
Justice7541 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 So Relius except her "doll gauge" doesn't refill naturally, I guess.
Moy_X7 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Does anyone know which characters she can hit with 5A while they're crouching? Tager, Relius, and Hakumen are obvious but what about the rest?
Appledash- Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 So Relius except her "doll gauge" doesn't refill naturally, I guess. Kinda, yeah. Basically, it seems most other characters who rely on a special resource (like Valk) have an easier time managing said resource.
Myoro Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 If you think about it, Relius can accomplish pretty much everything mode changed Izayoi can with Ignis. (3C->6D->IAD->j.b->j.c) can extend pressure and mix-up in much the way mode dash can, 214B can hit unsuspecting foes or zoners when they are caught of guard all the while being slightly slower and safer than Izayoi's D teleport, 214A and 2D give blockstun on par with mode changed sonic sabre, all the while Relius gets a recharging gauge, unblockables, resets, and more damage. Izayoi does get DPs though, she doesn't have to consider passive decay of resources like Valk or Relius, also she doesn't get forcibly reverted when hit (Valk turns human on hit Relius loses Ignis.) Relius and Valk have the advantages of getting resources passively or whilst attacking, whereas Tsubaki must get them passively (exept for her new command grab) and Izayoi must get them aggressively (unless she's in OD)
Adsfzxczxc Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Izayoi does get DPs though What DP? the only reliable reversal that she has is her phorizer, though it is pretty much safe on block.
TD Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 that's what he meant in a non technical term. though relius has a 'dp' too, it's just horrible. however he also has a meterless option. though also not good, something is better than nothing.
Justice7541 Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Kinda, yeah. Basically, it seems most other characters who rely on a special resource (like Valk) have an easier time managing said resource. Valk's wolf gauge isn't even really a resource so much as a "we're not going to just let you run wolf bullshit forever" gauge. It recharges back to full after pretty much everything so you never really need to worry about "managing" it.

I'll upload any CMV and/or match videos created by players outside of Japan if it's ok with the content creator. it's a nice channel for all Izayoi tech, guides, etc. Edited October 24, 2013 by Izayoi Fanclub

Justice7541 Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Now that (some of) us have BBCP and can actually press buttons with Izayoi, what have we got for combos and the like? I'm still doing scrub mode combos but I'm sure Izayoi can break 4k meterless in the corner. I'm barely hitting 3.5k.
Izayoi Fanclub Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 link? here you go https://www.youtube.com/user/IzayoiFanclub Now that (some of) us have BBCP and can actually press buttons with Izayoi, what have we got for combos and the like? Thanks to Tecta1Eastside there's a few arcade combo videos (including the most recent console cmv) on the channel above. you can start there.
