Arvoyea Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 I'm not sure how to throw escape on Accent Core. How do you in the first place? It says nothing about in the manual.
4r5 Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Do a throw at the same moment they throw you and you'll get a break like 3s. If you're late by a frame or two, then you get a late break, ala ST. Any more then that and it's throwing as usual. You don't get a chance to throw-break if you were thrown during any sort of recovery. ie: you can't throw-break if you can't throw.
Tiamat Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 it's much much harder than in 3S to break throws in this game though, so don't be surprised if you don't get it to happen much
Digital Watches Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 I dunno, it happens quite a bit when players are familiar with each other and go for throws a lot. For example, myself v. a local baiken, I've seen four throw breaks in a round, and I don't think I've had a match with him since like, July that didn't involve at least one in the whole match.
4r5 Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 I'm in training mode right now and that doesn't seem to be true.
Anji man Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 I break 60% of the throws attemps EASY!!! :yaaay: But you can't break a throw while you're crouching
Sytha Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 I get a ton of Throw breaks. It normally happens when both players are mashing on throw. (tick throw set ups, tech throw set ups.)
zer0kage Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Throw breaking in this game feels more like a throw clash really. It's like it happens most when I want to throw someone and purple shit flies out. You cant throw break during 'counter' throws though.
rtl42 Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 I break 60% of the throws attemps EASY!!! :yaaay: But you can't break a throw while you're crouching i don't get it. you could be crouching, but then both of you hit 4/6+H, and you would get a break, wouldn't you? and even if your opponent beats you to it, there's still the second break chance for you. (unless there is some unexplained glitch that disallows throw breaking while crouching, and i'm just flat out wrong :\ ) zer0kage: i'm not quite sure what you mean by "counter" throw, but if i'm guessing right, then i think 4r5 mentioned that in his first response.
Arvoyea Posted May 1, 2008 Author Posted May 1, 2008 once you hit 4 or 6 you aren't crouching Okay, I'll try that when I get home and confirm it as soon as possible.
Shoto Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 one last hint: If you look closely you will notice 2 white circles expanding from the throwing character (looks similar to the golden SlashBack circle but in white). These show you the two throw-tech timings.
Anakron Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 Characters whose 6HS is safe and spammable have an easier time tech throwing.
MC cLuSkY Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 it's much much harder than in 3S to break throws in this game though, so don't be surprised if you don't get it to happen much Quoted for truth. I've been playing Accent Core since the release, and can probably count on one hand how many throw breaks I've done.
Arvoyea Posted May 5, 2008 Author Posted May 5, 2008 Quoted for truth. I've been playing Accent Core since the release, and can probably count on one hand how many throw breaks I've done. Yeah. I think I have only done it...at least two times now?
Beowulf Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 And what about tech trows ? Are they escapable ? And does mashing 4/6+HS makes you more likely to escape ? Or is there a strict timing for it ? Finally I'm glad in a way they added that in AC. My defense is getting better against Baiken and Ky players who used to tick throw me too much in #Reload...
4r5 Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 air throws are escapable. Mashing would more likely produce a hardslash out of you and leave you unable to tech the throw. Or maybe you'll throw him before he throws you And you can't mash in reaction to throws, since they got no startup and you'd likely miss the window to escape before you even realize you've been thrown. I mean, really throw escapes are just in to prevent what happened in previous games, when two people tried to throw each other at the same time.
Arvoyea Posted May 5, 2008 Author Posted May 5, 2008 Characters whose 6HS is safe and spammable have an easier time tech throwing. So I guess these characters would be in this category: Sol Ky Millia Baiken (?) Jam (?) Holy Order Sol May(? If you don't hold HS?) Slayer Faust (?) I should confirm more of this.
Arvoyea Posted May 6, 2008 Author Posted May 6, 2008 Yeah, I can finally do it. You just 6HS when they throw. It's just hard to time it. It's right when the throw is initiated, I guess. I used Zat-I mean Eddie as the thrower, and I used Sol to practice. It was hard, seeing as Eddie's throw is really fast, compared to others.
Neophos Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 It was hard, seeing as Eddie's throw is really fast, compared to others. What? Everyone's throw is 1 frame. Everyone got the same small window for throw-breaking.
Digital Watches Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 What? Everyone's throw is 1 frame. Everyone got the same small window for throw-breaking. I think he means the second throw-break window. Does that one vary from throw to throw?
bbq sauce Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 So I guess these characters would be in this category: Sol Ky Millia Baiken (?) Jam (?) Holy Order Sol May(? If you don't hold HS?) Slayer Faust (?) I should confirm more of this. Sol's 6H is safe/spammable?
