this is pretty minor, but it appears that none of the characters shake when getting hit (the minor 1 pixel shaking characters do on hit). I'm mostly indifferent to it, but i did find it distracting in SF4.

no, i mean the shaking of the sprite/model every character does on hit. it's hard to see in videos, but i'm pretty sure every FG out of japan does it

an easily noticeable video example is the KO hit in sf4:

Haha, never noticed that. Pretty subtle.

typically the shaking is done during every frame of hitstop, but since youtube is 30fps, you're going to miss it in a 60 fps fighting game.

my conclusion is based solely on the final hit where stuff slows down a bit

So I-no's not going to be that great? CL's that whiff all the time, overdrives that give the opponent enough time to do the laundry and make a sandwich before it hits them, etc. I'm surprised that barely anyone was using her in the loketest. I thought she had a lot of fans that didn't just oogle her (not that there's anything wrong with that) but actually fought with her.

Loketests tend to be very experimental, the I-no featured here will most likely be different from the loketest footage. Which is generally why they forbid recording loketest vids.

You would think that the hype building of loketest videos would outweigh the "this game is unbalanced!" factor, especially because they look like the fun police when they try to control this stuff. Think of it this way: Potential players should fall into two categories: Either people that are on the casual/new audience end of the spectrum, in which case any given thing in a loketest video will probably go over their heads and they'll just be hype for a game that looks super cool. And then people who'll pore over the videos and analyze every last detail... And they'll know that this stuff isn't final. And even if they complain on the internet about X, or Y, or Z, how many potential customers will read that, understand it, not know that loketest stuff is subject to change, and then have it sway their decision to get the game or not? I think that if the game is in a good enough state that they'd show it off, they should be trying to get as much hype as possible. If I were ArcSys I'd release a lot of footage not just of loketests, but of internal testers playing matches, or anyone with some experience with the build, to show off just how cool matches between good players can be.

All that said, they'd probably want to slap a "Subject to change" warning on all promotional materials.

Edit: Maybe I'm late to the party, but the news thread says that Danger Time will be random. Sounds a bit terrible to me. Are we sure that that piece of info is accurate?

I miss a grat part of the thread and there is too many pages to check to find out some info so...can i have a brief summary of the most revelant news?

I was also wondering, in the end how the blitz shield works? Is it a nice mechanics or it breaks the flow of the game?

I know that it can even be removed from the game in the next bunch of locktest (like the initial clash system, that in reality looked fine to me) but i'm quite curious in the end.

Oh, also, if you ask me the next chara reveal should be 90% the following: Eddie (revealed in the first trailer), Valentine (spoilered from the novel on arcsys anniversary book) Dizzy and probably Sin

Well, the undizzy limit is now 230, I think, and can trigger at stage 3.

It's not just you. Others have mentioned this as well.

It has been said a thousand of times that is perfectly normal, since during locktests damage is higher to make round shorter and making people matches shorter.

... that's actually usually NOT normal. Usually they just give you options to get meter faster (auto-regain or taunt for meter). That said, I imagine Arc is pretty confident with their ideas for what damage will be, so they are probably less concerned about that right now. I would think right now they are more concerned with general system stuff.
