Destin Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 If a high and a low hit you on the same frame, the normal attack prioritized first, so the second frame the projectile would hit. So you block the way Zato attacks, then immediately switch to the way Eddie attacks. So if Zato does an overhead and Eddie does a low at the same time, you block high->~low asap. It's pretty hard to do... (I won't derail after this post). Every move has a hit priority I imagine, and like said normals take priority over specials, instead of writing special code for a situation where two hits hit at the same time, they just delay one hit until the next frame. This actually isn't hard with some training mode practice, I usually used it against the meaty big drill and the jump K, which since they were both meaty had a consistent timing on your wakeup. It's a 1f link but so is reversal throws and backdashes and many of us can do those consistently. It was harder to do against the dolphin (now spit) and low kick, but because that isn't meaty it's also very hard for eddie to make it 1f apart! The farther it is from 1f apart, the easier it is to block the old fashioned way.
LuciferD666 Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Suzaku's drawing is pretty close to what I was seeing in my mind. I will definitely be at this loketest just like the other ones to bring the hype in real time! ElvenShadow. You'll be at this one too? I(and I'm sure many)have alot of questions about Zato-ONE.
LeonD Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 (edited) I personnally think that ???? is Sol's little nephew, riding a mechanically enhanced bed... Edited November 22, 2013 by LeonD
SuperJ Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 according to his page, he's at $90 i've matched that number. hopefully the job is finished by the 3rd loketest
dehumanizer Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Woah, i just noticed the translations of Zato's commands. So he has Shadow Hole (aka eddie's trap puddle) and Drill Special (aka Big drill) with his one summon now, which used to be from two completely different summons (normal and Weiss summon). Might mean no more fast overhead on summon now, which was what the -D- followup did, unless that's what Dead Man's Hand is.
Wild Candy Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 God... It's looking even less likely that Dizzy will be a playable character given how far they into the game's development. Hopefully it'll be like Nu and Mu in Cp, and she'll be added a little later on after the Arcade Date. But in all honesty, if they choose to Omit Dizzy as a playable character, they've lost my Guilty Gear support. (And I doubt I'd be the only who'd jump ship) It would also shows a clear lack of judgement on Arc Sys's part, because Dizzy was ranked the 3rd most popular character in the last official popularity poll. If you omit a character that popular, your practically begging to kill the hype. But hopefully my gut feeling is wrong, and Dizzy will be a playable character.
Jocelot Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 I dunno, Anji has been my main dude for years but I can honestly say if they released the game as it is right now (character wise) I would still be happy.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 But hopefully my gut feeling is wrong, and Dizzy will be a playable character. Her and Sin are too relevant to the GG story (which Daisuke adheres to, to some level) to keep them out of the game. Anyways you're going too extreme there considering they'll have dlc or something for this game at some point.
xlolxlolx Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 its been 7 years since an actual new guilty gear, majority of us are content with the fact that we're getting such a visually beautiful new game made from scratch and that its a fucking real game that's going to come out

DeadlyCreampuff Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 I'd just like to ask where Bridget is. I doubt this is final line-up, but if it is, I'm pretty sad, haha. I'd be sad to be be Jamless, but fortunately I'd have milia to keep me company while I await her arrival. Fromt eh way things look I doubt we'll never see them, but they do need to release the game at some point to cement PS4 as the fighting game place to be :3
Tenj|n Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 I also doubt that this is the final roster, i need my dose of Anji. The new colony stage is beautiful and needs the Japanese to fit it altogether. Even if Chipp is in as my sub, it just wouldn't feel the same. I need my main man and i look forward to seeing Sin.
White Man Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 I too am overwhelmed with joy that my favorite video game franchise is finally getting a brand new next-gen installment after years of silence. If they fail to include the character I play most frequently in the current version, however, this game will be responsible for plunging me into a suicidal depression that can only be escaped by sending a barrage of furious letters to ASW explaining how they have literally raped my emotions by proving they don't give a damn about their most avid online supporters.
Alpha Dog Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 They just need to hurry up and put baiken in. I want to see her in HD smoking her pipe..of satisfaction.
Akujikan Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 My main and sub history goes: GGX: Sol, Ky -> GGXX: Testament, Sol -> #Reload: Testament, Sol -> Slash: Testament, HOS, -> AC: Testament, HOS. As is it just makes it look like I'm going back to my GG roots, and I can't really complain about that. I'd be overjoyed to see Testament come back, and I'm really interested with how they would make Sin play in this setting should he make it to that character select screen, but I'm just too happy to be getting another GG to be depressed about roster choices.
Wild Candy Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 I guess if Dizzy doesn't meet the cut. I can learn to use Millia, they actually have quite a bit in common gameplay wise. Both have strong Okizeme and pressure games couple with fragile defense. Both have the same goal, gaining momentum and not letting their opponent fight back, they just have a different way of achieving that goal. (In Dizzy's case, using her summons to to cover holes in her pressure, and in Millia's case, using her great mobility and fast normals to keep the opponent from fighting back) Besides, the animations are beautiful, Xrd can potentially revive the franchise, and it will likely be released sometime during the spring for PS4. I guess I can be a little more open minded.
OneSanitarium Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 I honestly don't see a problem with a game not having a favorite. If the characters I used weren't in Xrd, I knew I would just learn someone else. It just seems petty to shrug off an entire new game just because your previous main isn't in it.

I dunno, it sounds perfectly valid to me. GG is not the only game around, it's not like you have nothing to do until they add your main. And learning the new character on top of learning a completely new game is just not worth the effort for some people, especially when they know that the character they already know how to play as is coming back sooner or later.
LeonD Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 (edited) Finally someone has decided to speak TRUTH!!! Like you gonna screw an entirely new GG just because "MAH MAIN IS GONE"? LOL ... Besides, there are lots of new chars you could learn to play. Edited November 24, 2013 by LeonD

Like you gonna screw an entirely new GG just because "MAH MAIN IS GONE"? When you've been using a character for like 8-9 years (Johnny) then YES, is almost a deal breaker to not have your char in a new game. Just look at what happened to SCV. Still i'm not worried at all because i'm sure the entire roster will eventually make it in, and i have May until then.
LeonD Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Still i'm not worried at all because i'm sure the entire roster will eventually make it in, and i have May until then. This! SO GODDAMN MUCH!!!! Seriously, guys, the game was just loke-test'ing... so don't be so negative!
ElvenShadow Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Yea, just try someone new until your main comes back. God forbid you might actually need to put in effort to learn stuff! You may end up really liking the experience. No reason to quit the series. I was well prepared to just suck it up and learn Axl before Faust was announced but I got lucky so now I don't need to. As for console release date. Spring 2014? Really?! No chance! The game will probably be out in Arcades around then. Don't expect a console release until at least summer or most likely next fall.
Luminos564 Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 (edited) I guess I am one of the lucky ones that never tied himself down to anyone in particular when it came to GG. I started with GGX2 Midnight Carnival back when I was younger and knew absolutely nothing about how fighters worked so I used a little bit of everybody. Not well at all mind you, but I tried to give everyone a fair shot. Though I tended to gravitate more towards Sol, Slayer, Millia, Jam and Eddie/Zato-1. 4/5 are confirmed to be present in the game and after some video viewing, I kinda want to try Potemkin as well. So I think I am good when the game's finally out. Edited November 24, 2013 by Luminos564
LeonD Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 I started right at the moment #R came out, but at that time I was too young - grade 3 - so didn't know much 'bout FG basics. (Just mashing them pads back then) But the first char I played was Millia so.... been liking her since!
Chrome Homura Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty damn hardcore for a dude solely motivated to play by weaboo-ai, but while I would undoubtedly be hella salty if my main doesn't make it for arcade (let alone the console release) I'm still gonna play the game. Hell I might even transition to stick for this game, after being a devout Dualshock purist since the PS2 was NEW. Nobody here knows me, so I'd need to write a long fucking post to fully express the magnitude of such a statement, but let me put it this way: In the midst of the insane hype train this game is gonna bring ([/Heavy Day]) I won't have a moment to spare hesitating over something as frivolous as character loyalty. I feel sincere empathy towards those who won't be able to run their OG main come Xrd's release, but it's small potatoes when you look at the big picture... and the big picture is that this game is gonna be so goddamned beautiful the entire FGC will be forced to turn their heads. To not give it a good shot will literally ruin your reputation as a person, so don't be surprised if an offhanded comment post-release about your favorite character not being in the game gets you fired or something.
