Fenrir Werwolf Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 (edited) Sin strong point is the insane range of the flag, his game is in outpoking the enemy with his normals in mid range The most similar thing in previous GG is Kliff Also, Izuna is a must, I hope he subsitute Anji, in the end his Y moves is basically a sort of butterly, and he has many interesting moves and absolutely a stunning design BTW, if you're curios about overture, give it a try! It doesn't hurt, and you can find it for less than 10 dollars. Sin R.T.L is different from Ky in the game, since it hits multiple time in short dashes, and every dashes you can change direction, while Ky's one is more straightforward. His special move are: a VERY fast orizontal poke, sin thrust his flag like a spear. You can make a followup and make the point of it explode, making possible a followup. his second special is a ball of energy that you summon just around you, that does multiple hit and vanishes after a little while. Since in GG2 specials consumes tension (and you can r.cancel everything as well, even bursts) you can creates multiple ones if you wish. third one is a counter, as stated before. It allows for an easy followup, but it's punishable very easily. fourth, his 8Y is a forward trusth with multiple hits. Usually a finsher for a combo or used to punish. Areal special is simply a multiple stabbing with his flag. See that as a combo finisher. He also have "skills", witch sometimes coincide with some GG specials/overdrives (for example ky's charged stun edge, or Sol dragon install) One skill, phantom barrel, allows him to shoot a projectile, and the strenght of hit (as well of additional effects) are determined by how many friendly servants you have around. Doubt this will be in the game. Second one is humming sword, a litle bird in armor! You can see it also in the pachinko game, in gg2 it pokes the enemy and rise a lot the stun. Think of it like testament crown. Then you have exiter, wich is a buff like DI or Dizzy-ex overdrive, but i this case just buffs damage Oh, he also have a heal skill for his minions, but i doubt it will enter the game Edited February 15, 2014 by Fenrir Werwolf

Also Slayer YRC'ed that burst at landing (and cut landing recovery). That looks useless cuz he just replaced short burst recovery with startup of YRC, but the fact that it was YRC and not PRC is interesting.

Ya know funny thing.On both cuts he was in. I didn't see his flag in his model at all. I was probably too stupified not to see it at first to notice.I mean sure they'll add it in if he's going to be playable. But just curious as to why they didn't have it already there. I have my fingers crossed for Bridget and Jam personally, but I do think a lot of people will be upset if there's no Dizzy and Baiken.

You're mixing them up, Sin's is more powerful but only goes straight, Ky is the one that can change direction. (Because Sin is powerful but lacks control, and Ky is Mr. Perfect Control :v) So, is one of Valentine's overdrives basically a Lucifero summoning that absorbs all damage? I didn't quite get how it works. Do you mean her Gamma Ray? She smushes her sword familiars together to create Lucifero and then he's the one that fires the Gamma Ray beam from behind her. Jocelot Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 I have a sad feeling Anji is low on the list of characters to bring back into Xrd, which sucks because I think he'd be awesome in it(well as awesome as a character like Anji can be)... as long as they don't base him too much on his #Reload version. I can just imagine those HELLFIRE fan supers. Sighhhh. But yeah, Sin seems like he's bound for console but if he winds up arcade unlock I'll be a bit surprised. Also, I like that little typo on the Royal Court stage, lol.

I may not be active online, since there is no player outside japanese, and i lag too much to play with them, but I still keep me in training with the game time to time, and even if Sin is not my main I assure you that you are wrong. Sin can change direction, Ky can only go straight in overture, Ky's is stronger since it can nearly instant kill a master too.

I doubt they'd make the message appear at random. I'm starting to wonder always happens in Xrd now. Ky's aerial stun edges are looking so good right now, minimal ground recovery and it causes the opponent to slightly float if they're hit in the air, allowing you to combo off of it. Split Ciel is looking good, no one seems to be using Ky's new 3hs though, it looks like it's an anti backdash normal the same way his ACR/AC 6hs works, except ti's more safe to use. @Sin's discussion, I highly doubt they'll give him that segmented RTL, since I don't see that it striking multiple times being helpful. Unless it'll work like Chipp's Zansierouga super. Also you can't replace Anji with Izuna, they play nothing alike, not even Baiken. Those two offer extremely unique defensive playstyles that can't be replicated. Though seeing Izuna would be interesting, but I'm more curious to see Dr. Paradigm, Testament (will he upgrade from a gothic dress to a lolita knee-highskirt?), Johnny (I wanna know if he'll have a beard still), and Raven (he plays A LOT like Testament I wonder how they'll keep him fresh, plus people have wanted him playable for years).

I thought so, but till Xrd both bursts had landing recovery and if you watch video frame by frame there is no recovery animation. He YRC'ed recovery right after landing (there is dust on the ground so Slayer definetely landed) or there is no landing recovery on burst anymore. Edited February 15, 2014 by Horokei
